Um.. so we know what's actually going on in the galaxy. I want politics It would be like watching band of brothers, a series about American soldiers and then cutting to a bunch of random Hitler in Berlin scenes... it just wouldn't make sense But that's a real conflict where everyone already knows what the politics were. If you're doing a fictional war, there should be at least some understanding of what happened and what's going on.

But you don't need courscsnt for it either

Finally they put recon even thought it aired in the morning... Dave basically admits they put so many TCW characters on since the series was cancelled ... I hate Disney...

Also no preview for Season 4? Tbh it hasn't been "officially" confirmed yet but DF strongly hinted the confirmation was coming. Normally it's announced in March but I believe they held it off because of Star Wars Celebration which is in April

I must have missed it, didn't seem very high profile, like last year it was reported on a lot of sites. That could be intentional though so they can make a big deal of it next month

Am I the only one who thinks Thrawn is overrated? I mean yeah I guess he's cool and all but i'm so tired of if these "If thrawn dies we riot" type posts all over youtube and the internet. Canon-Thrawn hasn't even done that much until the finale. IDK it sometimes it annoying when character s are popular because they came from the EU.

I'm not sure where the source of it is from but wookiepedia has some stuff on Thrawn post ROTJ in the canon section saying Thrawns knowledge of the outer rim helped establish the first order

And plus killing the grand admiral of the imperial fleet would count as a major victory... which the rebellion does not get until the battle of scariff in Rouge One. So I wouldn't expect him to die

I haven't watched this show since the very first few episodes that came out. Although I did catch a glimpse on social media of the season 4 trailer and saw Kanan blind? What happened to him?

Maul slashed his eyes TCW was too adult and graphic for kids but slashing eyes seems kid friendly.....got to love logic. So I take it in the end Maul became a douche again and broke the alliance....if they had one, I don't remember, I thought they did.

I watched all of this over the past 3 days. The show has definitely improved and most of the characters are pretty good. Sabine and Ezra are much better now compared to season 1. I also like how Kanan has developed. I wasn't sure how it would be to have Thrawn in the show, but I think they are doing a good job with him. The opener, Maul, Mandalore, and finale episodes were the best ones for sure, although the episode "Through Imperial Eyes" was extremely enjoyable for me, since we got to have an episode center on the Empire. Also, that one episode with Rex and Kalani was basically TCW fan-service, but I liked it.
While not flawless by any means, I do like most of what Rebels has to offer. This is probably the best season of the three and on par with the first two seasons of TCW. However, I do feel that a fair portion of the content given relies on the viewers to use their outside sources and their imagination to give it more meaning, rather than displaying it on-screen. This is fine sometimes, but I felt it occurred frequently (i.e. Saw's story, Mandalore, the Empire, Maul vs Kenobi). Perhaps this is in part of TCW being cancelled prematurely (even though most of what was planned is still canon and published somewhere), and if it had been brought to life on-screen, it would give more impact to certain events in Rebels. In addition, I think there are some missed opportunities in storytelling as well as some repetitive plots. Nonetheless, still enjoyable, and I love that this era of Star Wars is getting fleshed out. This show itself is decent, critically speaking, but when put in context with everything else, it is much better.

I watched Through Imperial Eyes again, pretty good episode, possible even top 5 in the show. I really like seeing Thrawn at his best and just having that episode more from the Empire view is pretty cool.
