Yeah like or one memorable intense score. Phantom Menace had Duel of Fates, ROTS had Battle of the Heroes. Not sure what AOTC had. Oh yes!! Star Wars Battlefront I memories

Same here! Only with me it was only me and friend that did that. Our audience was surprisingly dull. They didn't even clap at the end. Darn, that sucks. I think it's generally more fun when you watch a movie and vibe off of the cool things with the audience. At my theater, everyone clapped at these points: Lucasfilm logo and opening crawl Millenium Falcon's introduction Han and Chewie's introduction First time Finn ignites the lightsaber Leia and 3PO's intro R2's intro Ackbar's intro (you know you're in a theater full of Star Wars fans when everyone cheers there ) Rey igniting the lightsaber Luke's intro Ending credits Lots of cheering. It was fun. Han's death was a lot more shocking to watch with everyone in the theater too. A few people gasped out loud. Same with my theater, except when they showed Vader's helmet there were some murmurs and clapping.

The Plagueis theory makes sense, but I don't know if Disney would be likely to go through with it. I think they'd be more inclined to create their own villain.

Ok like I predicted this movie is tied for 2nd I think. ESB still reigns supreme and I believe I'd put this one with ANH. Better then all the prequels for sure IMO. One big difference I noticed is that the fighting actually felt REAL, it wasn't perfect choreography like in the episode 1 Maul fights or the Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel.
I really like Kylo, you could tell he's very strong in the force. He's got lots of raw potential being able to see into people's minds and stopping that blast like that. However I just don't think he ever had any real training he just sort of taught himself and Snoke over estimated his ability. I was right with Kylo being related to Vader, that was pretty obvious. He has potential to rival Vader but I'm not sure he will.
I actually liked his face though, some where saying it doesn't look evil enough but I think it shows that he's still a normal human under the mask and his confrontation with Han showed that a lot. Han's death was expected but it fits in with the whole mentor always dying in every trilogy and they made his death perfect IMO, I don't think Han wasn't expecting to die though but I do think that showed that Kylo still is a good guy even the slightest bit.
Finn and Poe where pretty funny though but Han was the best, "Sanitation!!" Lol probably my favourite conversation.
Phasma was pretty useless, kind of hope she just died. Hux was pretty cool SIEG HEIL haha.
Snoke would be kind of cool if he is Plagueis. I mean Plageuis < Palpatine < Vader < Luke/ Leia < Kylo/ Rey

I actually love what they did though, it's like they put all the originals in one with their own stuff added in to start this trilogy, I suspect the next two films will be very different.
Kylo is also Skywalker blood, which makes that pretty cool.
I think Kylo could have beat Rey though, he 1) under estimated her big time and 2) had numerous injuries, that Chewbacca shot was a very big one. Still Kylo is just raw potential waiting to be unleashed, he never had any real training.
Also the unpolished fights where the best part, it's a lot more realistic

What was with all the blood by the way? When did blasters start to cause bleeding?

I liked Han a lot more after this one though, forever my second favourite Star Wars character. Favourite from the movies for sure though.

I don't get why some people are butthurt about this being a "ripoff" I think it was a perfect send off to the OT and paying lots of respects to the pre Disney Star Wars and I believe the next movies will be quite different and branch out to make their own path

Also this is the fourth day this has been out and well, it was packed haha. We got there early in the line thankfully and had great seats, middle in the back.
There was 14 showings yesterday and 16 today. They're using 4/10 auditoriums at our theatre for this movie

Did you notice how Kylo pushed his helmet into some ashes at some point? Could that have been Vader's ashes? Maybe it's the ashes of some of the Jedi's he killed.

TBH I don't think he's killed many Jedi at all... I think this whole thing about the Jedi, Luke and Kylo wasn't about the Jedi dying but I think Kylo turned on Luke and sort of brought the other Jedi with him and convinced them to not follow Luke. That's why you see Kylo standing with a bunch of others in this "order of Ren" during Lukes vision.

We'll never know, it may always cause blood and Star Wars was just too afraid to show it... I mean we always think that lightsabers make clean cuts and don't cause much bleeding due to the heat but there was quite a bit of blood when Obi-Wan chopped that one guys arm off in the bar.

Oh well I guess if the guy actually reached into the wound then there would be blood, right? But I think the laser itself stops it from bleeding everywhere like a bullet

In Rey's flashback you can see part of the massacre as a lightsaber goes through a jedi. Those guys standing with Kylo in the rain (after the massacre has been complete) are the Knights of Ren, who probably helped Kylo. I'm guessing it was all under Snoke's orders.

Snoke had probably been amassing a group of dark followers, but then he realized he hit the jackpot with Ben Solo since he had so much potential power.

Well if the theory of him being Plageuis is true (unlikely but still) then that's a pretty big thing since he wanted Anakin but ended up getting one of his descendants. Kind of funny they named him Ben, Han never liked Obi-Wan. In the EU it was Lukes child named Ben

Everyone says they are planning for 10 movies now. I thought they were going for a 3 part for the trilogy? It's probably old news. I'm always out of it.

What were your guys' favorite parts of the movie? IMO, the first act was the best. Maybe it was because I was still so flabbergasted by seeing an opening crawl on screen again, but I thought the opening village raid scene was phenomenal. And then the entire first act was just really fun and immersive. As for later scenes, like I said before, Han's death scene was really well done. - Opening with Poe in the town was awesome, I think it's the best intro to a Star Wars movie yet IMO. - Poe and Finn in the tie as just fun to watch - Basically every scene with Han had some humour to it so he was enjoyable to be around - Liked the scene with the laser destroying the planets and Kylo standing on the ship was the best shot in the movie - The fight on the forest planet was good - Hans death was done very well - Luke Skywalker
