Same here! Only with me it was only me and friend that did that. Our audience was surprisingly dull. They didn't even clap at the end. Darn, that sucks. I think it's generally more fun when you watch a movie and vibe off of the cool things with the audience. At my theater, everyone clapped at these points: Lucasfilm logo and opening crawl Millenium Falcon's introduction Han and Chewie's introduction First time Finn ignites the lightsaber Leia and 3PO's intro R2's intro Ackbar's intro (you know you're in a theater full of Star Wars fans when everyone cheers there  ) Rey igniting the lightsaber Luke's intro Ending credits Lots of cheering. It was fun. Han's death was a lot more shocking to watch with everyone in the theater too. A few people gasped out loud. Yeah people gasped at Hans death in mine as well, nobody clapped at anything but there was lots of cheering at: - Lucasfilm title (I think this one was mainly people just being annoyed with all the commercials though like the guys beside me... Movie says "3:15PM" , stars at "3:40PM". - Opening Crawl - Falcon - Han and Chewie - Lightsaber in the box (not when he uses it though) - R2-D2 - Luke Skywalker - End Credits So basically the same as yours without Ackbar and 3PO (people laughed hard at him though). |

Disney distributes it and owns it, yes, but it's still a Lucasfilm production. JJ Abrams was actually quoted as saying that Bob Iger and Disney were very cool in letting them make their own movie and not interfering. Which definitely turned out for the best. |

I just read that in the original script Poe was killed off. I'm so happy they didn't do that. He was one of the best characters of the movie.

However our showing was near to being sold out, this showing was on the site for a long time and it was one of the first afternoon showings posted from a few weeks ago, they added a bunch of extra times to accommodate the rush but this was one from a long time ago so most people probably booked tickets for today weeks ago as well and this was their first time. I'm going to see it again for sure, likely two more times actually. |

Yeah it will likely be all movie characters this time, not that it's a bad thing. Not enough people watch TCW for it to ever stand a chance. Finn will probably get matched against Han so I doubt he goes far... They're similar characters. Rey vs Luke or Leia idk, Poe vs Wedge I guess. BB-8 vs R2. These would likely all be second round matches they will probably all beat prequel characters in round 1 or something. |

Everyone says they are planning for 10 movies now. I thought they were going for a 3 part for the trilogy? It's probably old news. I'm always out of it. I didn't hear about this yet. Do you have a source? It was not just one friend that said that. Several people were saying 5 all together. I had heard nothing about it either so I was wondering if you did but until now I''ll take it as a rumor. I have no source but I will try to see possibly, if that were the case though I'm sure it would be known for sure. |

I didn't hear about this yet. Do you have a source? It was not just one friend that said that. Several people were saying 5 all together. Well, his injury looked pretty serious, most stormtroopers went down after one shot of Chewy's bow... also, Kylo didn't finish his training yet, so he isn't that powerful. |

I believe that she is Lukes daughter and before he went into exile after what happended with Kylo, Luke most likely hid Rey on Jakku and perhaps wiped her mind of any memory of early Jedi training. When she opened the box she probably regained most of those memories and some extra stuff Luke wanted to show her. I wonder if Luke would actually reveal to her he's her father... I'm guessing no or at least not right away so she doesn't become attached to anything. Rey is going to have attachment problems it's already obvious with Finn and Han. |

Kylo got hit with a bolt from a bowcaster as well which is pretty heavy duty. That's basically like Anakin trying to fight after his injuries in the one crash arc when he's with Rex.

And not to mention Kylo had to get rid of Finn before fighting Rey. So I think his fight with Rey was realistic. I'm happy I didn't know Rey would beat him in advance though, because if I heard that before seeing the movie I would call BS and think that would be stupid. But seeing it in the context of the movie made sense.

Also I noticed they took a SWTOR design and had it in Maz's Cantina. Random droid, actually however it isn't a actual droid in SWTOR but more of a very advanced AI.  |

Like Kylo said earlier in the movie was that she is discovering her force powers wich is a dangerous thing because she probably control it yet. Kylo Ren was hurt by Chewbacca and she believed Finn was dead and Han Solo just died. Those are her first friends. So yeah she had a lot to fight for and it was pretty clear she let the Force guide her. Kylo was wounded and didn't see this coming and since he's also an apprentice still it was pretty evenly matched. |

Finally watched it! HAN SOLO DIES  Never though I would say this , but we needed more politics in a Star Wars movie. While the prequels overdid the whole senate thing, in this one, literally the entire new republic was blown up and we dont even get a shot of a bunch of sad people. The music. I don't think there was a track that stood out to me. Say what you will about the prequels, but they had the best music of the series. Needs more Phasma I personally loved the more original trilogy type duels without the flashy choreography from the PT. My favorite duel was Finn vs the stormtrooper. I loved the jokes (BB8's thumbs up, the mind tricked stormtrooper) but I feel that some jokes just kept coming at inappropriate times. Did anyone else notice Highsinger from TCW in the cantina (or at least a droid that looked like him) ADMIRAL ACKBAR WITH OLD MAN CATFISH WHISKERS I loved Kylo's temper tantrums. It really shows how different he was to vader, who stayed calm and together at all times. Note however, that when Kylo gets mad, he doesn't kill his men. I love how the stormtroopers were humanized, seeing the guards run down the hall after seeing Kylo slashing up the room. Also Ren saying "perhaps Snoke could just switch to a clone army" was a great way of shutting up the people who though stormtroopers were clones. Too many "new" aliens and planets. Say what you will about the prequels, but they tried new things while staying in a familiar universe. (seriously, basically all the aliens were new. Did anyone even see a single twi'lek/any old species?) Snoke was a hologram so theres a chance that he could still be Jar Jar  |

I thought here was too many new random aliens, I like that they had some new ones but often we only saw like a single new alien species instead of seeing groups of the same new aliens. Just sort of odd like they tried to shove in a bunch of single random new aliens and lots of them. There's lots of new aliens sure but you only see one of each most of the time. |

Kylo took and explosive bolt right to him from Chewbacca. That gun always killed people in one shot and normally tossed them around as well. I think they really where trying to demonstrate how powerful that gun was so we could get a good understanding by the time Kylo is shot by it. It's actually pretty ironic that Han had this obsession with the gun throughout the movie and then after he dies Chewie uses it shoot Kylo. |

I liked how when Starkiller Base blew up it literally turned into a star. But one question, what happens when it completely drains a star of its energy? When it was preparing to destroy the Resistance base it had nearly completely drained the star. So what happens when the star's gone? Is Starkiller Base mobile, and if it is, can it just move on to a new star and drain that one?

Rey beating Kylo also makes sense because they've stated before that Kylo is not a full villain yet. They want him to evolve into a villain throughout the trilogy just as Rey evolves into a full hero.

Anyone like how the stormtroopers are actually threatening now? They can aim properly, execute villagers, destroy temples, and when they were chasing Rey and Finn in the Falcon, not one of them was killed by crashing into terrain.
