Ellus noticed that the pale man had finally awoken. He seemed confused. "Hello," said Ellus kindly, "Ellus Cimber at you service. What's your name?" Karkoth growled at the sight of a human. "Hello... human? I never knew of a such brave human to ever gladly walk up to me. I am Karkoth, good to meet you." Ellus chuckled. With his hair chopped down, this man barely recognized him as a dwarf, despite his height. He must appear like a child or a small man. "Good to meet you as well, Ser Karkoth. Have you been on quests like this before?"

I was forbidden by my people to ever leave our labyrinths. But I sadly went on my own path to discover what is beyond my people's home. This is my first quest I've been on, and the first of your... very short human kind I've seen."

Amara sat at the cross-section between all three paths thinking. In her fingers, her long brown hair was braided and unbraided in rythem. It helped her to think. The road with the chest was obviously a no. Where they were going would be better riches anyways than anything that could be in the small chest. So that was out. The other two roads however intrigued her. Obviously they both held some sort of danger, but the question was what? Shutting her orange eyes, she took a deep breath, the usually hidden gills on the side of her cheek opening a bit as she did so, taking every scent in. Amara smelled sweat, orc, and the typical smells that surrounded the company. She also smelled nature, animals, and something else but she couldn't place it. There was too much going on. Too much to smell, too much to hear, and this wasn't the ocean she had lived most of her life in. Had this been the water she would have already down which path to take, or well swim. Raking out her braided hair for the millionth time and then braiding it again, Amara formulated her opinion. "I believe we should go down the dark, more trecherous looking path. The path with the chest is no good and the easy looking one will probably be harder to deal with than the other. Obviously it would be more tricky. First it would lull us into thinking we are safe and secure, and then spring some horror onto us. The darker path is already forboding, and would keep us on our toes and more aware and focused. Also anything that attacked us would be more than likely a beast and something that we can counter and kill rather than some wild card like an easy path," she explained, getting back to her feet as she fastened the braid into place with a cord of dark leather.

Ellus noticed that the consensus had become to take the darker path. Ellus thought this right. Others had obviously traveled the other two, and what good had come of it? None Ellus Cimber had heard of. But still, the dark path concerned him. Ellus rubbed his face where his beard had once been. A light layer of hair coated his face but it was nothing compared to the beards of the dwarf lords. Danger was coming, Ellus could sense it. He had but a dagger. "Will this be enough?" said Ellus. He doubted it the more he thought about. Was he doomed to die here? And then be remembered as that foolish excuse for a dwarf who lost his way and got himself killed? "No," said Ellus, "I will not die here, I won't!"

They take from he needy and waste it on wine." But despite all this, Ellus started to think he may have been wrong about leaving the Cimber Clan and renouncing his position. Here, he could die, he was vulnerable. He for sure despised the Cimber Clan, but could his hasty actions lead to his own demise? "Don't think like that," Ellus whispered to himself, "You're not one of them, you are an adventurer of Ambodia. And your stories will be told forever..." Ellus tried to fake a smile to mask his internal conflict.

Spidyyr ?6 (CBK)Amara listened to the group converse, and found that she had something in common with both Karkoth and Ellus. Family issues. "My family looks at me in shame as well. My kind does not leave the ocean and only preys from the sea. Because I chose to leave, I can now never go back to them. Should I return they would be no mercy or welcome for me," she chimed in. Looking back at the paths, she gave a bit of a shrug. "In all honesty though, is this not better? Sure we have departed our families, but is this not better? We now get to see the world, explore new things, grow even further than we ever thought possible, learn new things, become rich and live life to the fullest." Sometimes, the mermaid missed the open ocean and missed singing with her sisters while sitting on the rocks that held the remains of ships and the bones of consumed sailors. Yet she wouldn't trade the life she had now for it. Not for the world. Family was good, but many things in life were. It was good to honor it, but it wasn't good to let it hold you back from what you loved and wanted. Freedom never came for free.

"Perhaps fate brought us together, us various outcasts. Perhaps we are all meant to be great, out in the world together."

We must strongly endure the dangers before us, because there surely will be obstacles no matter which path we take. We must abide by a strong and determined will and not let fear or lust take the best of us. Believe me, I have been living by these morals for years and they have carried me far."

Korbulence found a large log from which looked to be the remains of a once lavish red oak. After close examination he discovered a spot of the log that was fully encased in blue moss. "Extravagant!" He said to himself as he had never encountered such a moss of such exotic color. He slowly sat down and found immediate comfort as the thick layer of moss acted as a cushion. He smiled and closed his eyes as he took in the beautiful sounds and smells of the forest. Korbulence found peace as he thought back to his days as a young Argonian. He grew up in a forest swampland, and many great memories were reawoken within his mind. After a couple minutes of peaceful reflection, he opened his eyes. He smiled with satisfaction as he saw the pale figure finally join in group discussion. Everything seemed to be going well as all the members seemed to grow closer as they realized their similarities.

"Now is our path chosen, Ser Korbulence?"

Ghorak sat with his back against a tree and watched the others discuss for awhile, he believed this to be a waste of time and efforts would be better spent just taking the obvious choice and going with it. Looking through the group he only somewhat liked the dwarf his story was similar to his own. The others he had either not spoke with or annoyed him but Ghorak wasn't here to socialize with randoms he was here to do a job and get it done. He considered moving ahead himself some ways but decided not to for now.

The group decided to take the darkest path. After walking for a few kilometers Ellus Cimber tripped over an object hidden in the sand. While the dwarf lay on the ground, cursing, Karkoth Abaler uncovered the object that had caused his fall. It was mask made from a humanoid skull. Just when Karkoth was about to show the mask to Korbulence a loud scream was heard from some nearby bushes. The entire group looked around and they saw a group of reanimated skeletons appeared from the darkness and charged at them. The adventurers quickly drew their weapons and prepared themselves for combat. Combat challengeYour enemies:Skeleton Leader (Undead) Level: 0 Health: 50 Physical attack: 15 Physical defense: 5 Magical defense: 5 Skeleton Archer (Undead) Level: 0 Health: 25 Physical attack: 15 Physical defense: 0 Magical defense: 5 Skeleton Mage (Undead) Level: 0 Health: 20 Magical attack: 10 Physical defense: 5 Magical defense: 5 Spells: Reawaken the Reawakened Skeleton Soldier (Undead) Level: 0 Health: 25 Physical attack: 8 Physical defense: 0 Magical defense: 0 Players:Ellus Cimber (45 health - 100 energy) Amara (50 health - 100 energy) Ghorak Skullsplitter (60 health - 100 energy) Karkoth Abaler (45 health - 100 energy) Korbulence Chordata (45 health - 100 energy) Ike Delaron (55 health - 100 energy) Your combat stats are in your alter profiles and on your character pages. Explanation of combat: You have to take down your enemies by bringing their health to zero. But make sure your health stays above zero because if it doesn't you are out of the quest. For each round of combat you can choose to use your weapon (basic attack) or abilities/spells that you own. The damage of all your basic weapons is equal to the physical damage on your profile and on your character page. For spells the damage and effects are described on the wiki. Keep in mind that you only have 100 energy, if it drops to zero you are forced to rest a round before attacking again. You can also choose to rest a round whenever you want to regain some energy. You'll get 10 energy per round that you rest. After combat 80% of the energy you used will be restored. At the end of a quest all energy will be restored. You need to work with your teammates to take down enemies in a strategic order. To send in your combat actions just post: ATTACK: TARGET (METHOD OF ATTACKING), or for abilities without a specific target: USE:(ABILITY) or for resting just use: REST. Also, the leader can decide who will get the Mask you just found. This mask can be equipped during combat, so giving it to the right person may be important for the outcome of this battle. Just post GIVE: PLAYER this item can be kept after the quest.

Korbulence stopped in his tracks and watched as these creepy skeletons charged toward them. Their eyes glowed, seeming to pierce right into the soul. Suddenly, an arrow flew past Korbulence, he could fell the air rush past his face as the arrow came inches from his head. "Thossse bony bastardsss have an archer, great..." said Korbulence as he drew his dagger. "And are thossse sparks illuminating from that hooded skeletons hands?"

Oh, maybe this ia kind of obvious but everyone sends in his own combat actions. The leader only decides who gets the mask.

Korbulence quickly debated who should wear the mysterious mask... Korbulence had dealt with mages before, and he had learned that they are among the most dangerous opponents to face in combat. They carry many tricks up their sleeves and have many powerful spells that can change the tide of battle in the blink of an eye. Whoever should wear this mask should be the one who faces the mage Korbulence concluded.
