Caedes spoke to the adventurers in a weird language: "Dortum talas mazor Ir! Mal Irum pestas dort! Irum krostas Ira Vengus!"
"Let's end this madness! Execute him." said Korbulence after he finally got up from the ground. Ike Delaron walked towards Caedes and lifted his sword in the air. Surprisingly Caedes was laughing. "Haha! You can never defeat me! You may kill me, but I will still win!" Delaron didn't feel like listening to Caedes any longer so he brought down his sword, decapitating the necromancer. The blood released from Caedes's wounds was drained into the ground. The ancient tablet next to where the battle had taken place, began to emit a purple light. The forest's power had been preserved. But there was no treasure. All day the group kept looking for clues or treasure hidden near the tablet, but they couldn't find anything. Their supplies were running out and Korbulence needed medical attention, so they had no choice but to leave the Woods and return to Peenda City empty handed.
Upon their return they went looking for Lord Vondur Jahat, who had sent them on this quest. It turned out Lord Jahat was in a meeting with the king and some other Lords. But they figured that their message about the prupose of the Shadow Woods's purple beam would interest the king as well. So they went to this meeting at the palace to tell their story.
When they entered the meeting room Lord Jahat was not there. He was running an errand for the king, but he was to return soon. But the king showed serious interest in their adventure so they told him everything.
"So, if I got this right you are telling me this Caedes Pythone was the leader of a necromancer cult that sacrifices people to a forest?" the king asked. Korbulence Chordata nodded. "I'll have Lord Jahat send some soldiers to deal with this Order of Mortem immediately."
Just at that moment Lord Vondur Jahat entered the room. He looked at the adventurers in horror. "But... You... you are supposed to be dead... I have seen the beam." he said.
"The beam appeared after we killed Caedes Pythone, an evil necromancer." Explained Ellus Cimber.
"But Vondur... how did you know the purple beam was related to death?" The king asked with suspicion.
Lord Jahat seemed to be panicking now. He then yelled: "Razor Ira Ramazum! Mazor ze Crondum! Mazor ze Radvum" From under the rug that laid in the meeting room ten skeletons rose. They charged at the adventurers, the Lords and the king. But the kings bodyguards were able to stop them. The adventurers, the guards and some of the lords then began to destroy the skeletons. In this chaos Vondur Jahat escaped the palace. The skeletons were easily defeated without a necromancer to guide them. Everyone made it out of the fight unharmed.
The king then spoke to the adventurers: "It seems that all this time Lord Vondur Jahat didn't sent people to the Shadow Woods to find a legendary treasure, but he sent them as free unsuspecting sacrifices for the Order of Mortem. I'm very shocked to discover this treacherous plot. But I want to thank you for playing your part into uncovering it. And for risking your lives out there in the Shadow Woods. If I need your help in the future when dealing with my Lord Jahat and the remainder of the Order of Mortem I may call on you again. But for now, let me reward you, you've earned it."

You are now all level 1. Congratulations. Your maximum health has been increased by 3 and you get 5 points which you can divide over your remaining stats in any way you want (I'll make a level-up thread for you to post your preferences).
Thanks for playing the first quest. I know this quest was quite simple (in terms of challenges and story telling) but its main purpose was to introduce Ambodia. Whoever wants to host the next quest can create a quest thread... if no one volunteers I could host another one after my testweek (which starts on Monday).
