Well, I guess this guy could survive, but since this is a one off movie I can see them killing him off. Plus, if he isn't killed by the rebels, Vader definitely won't appreciate his failure. Well, Vader may personally be involved, so maybe he will fail as well... Also don't think Vader is involved, they got him involved after this new guy fails. Vader was meant to get the plans back not protect them |

Cool trailer. You're right Mav seeing the old stuff made modern was a little weird..  Didn't see Mads Mikkelsen's character.... I hope he has a decent role Mads is cool. |

The alarm going off in the trailer was cool although that alarm is usually not as fast... I remember it from like TFU and stuff
Don't see why they're making that many new Stormtrooper units. There was like some weird shadow trooper and some like cameo scout troopers... I understand that they'd want to have new stuff but kinda weird since none of it is in the OT...
Also I wonder if that 4 wing shuttle thing is like a prototype/predecessor of Kylo's shuttle... Looks kind of similar but wouldn't make much sense....

Something interesting, looks like that droid we never really see is wearing black Stormtrooper chest armor.
Also I wonder if C-3PO and R2 will be in this movie... Haven't they been on the Tantive IV for all 19 years? They could probably still put them in somewhere in like a rebel base of something. It'd be weird if they weren't in the movie because they've been in every SW movie but I guess it can be okay because these are spin off movies and the droids just need to be in all the main movies

There's been some rumors that Mads' character is the scientist that helped finalize the construction of the Death Star, but then he starts to feel guilty and defects. He's apparently the main character's father, so she's going on this mission to sort of save her father's legacy. Yeah, the shuttle looked like two Kylo Ren Command Shuttle's smashed together. I heard they reused lots of set pieces for this, so chances are that they made some alterations to Kylo's ship to pass it off as this new one. I'm going to guess that the guy with the hood is Mads Mikkelsen's character. We don't see him anywhere else in the trailer If he is the main scientist who worked on the Death Star, he could be speaking to someone who's in that pod. Maybe he's wearing the shady robe because he's about to slip out and runaway from the Empire?

Also something else but it seems Felicitys character is that of Katniss in space... Some teen who is obviously the only hope for the galaxy of course... I really hope it does not come down to such a similarity...
Otherwise I'll instantly hate this character.

I also didn't like the way she delivered the lines she had in the trailer. I'm worried about that too... I also didn't like the way she delivered the lines she had in the trailer. Although, at least she's not a teenager (Felicity Jones is 32, so the character Jyn will probably be in her mid to late 20s). Yeah everyone is good IMO except her, she wasn't terrible but questionable. More her character than the acting. Even if she is 28 or whatever she still looks like she's 14 "OOOH WE'RE A REBELLION. I REBEL." -every edgy strong protagonist from every YA novel Let me guess... Her name is Generica Relateableton, a smart, funny, sarcastic, down-to-earth 20something/teenager! She may be pretty, but don't think that's all she is! She's hiding some serious toughness and emotional baggage as her parents are dead or missing so the author can get them out of the way for "character development!" In her fight against an eeevil totalitarian government in which she wears black leather, her love is torn between the cute guy with a huge jawline she's known ever since she was raised on the streets and the hunky beefcake she just met after joining up with the resistance! also she's good with a bow /salt beside that though, that movie looked totally dope. |

Seeing the Star Destroyers and Empire again in a movie is awesome. There's something about it that's just way better than the sequels or prequels, I guess the classic feel of it all

Wikipedia has him listed as “Rouge, Clone Wars Veteran”
Also that Mon Mothma isn’t really new, it’s the same one that appeared in ROTS.

I think it'd be cool if there was a Jedi but I guess yeah at the same time I can see why it'd be kinda cliche... But I feel like they feel like they have to put a Jedi in every movie.....

I bet the ending will be all the rebels finishing up beaming the plans to Leia when they hear Vader's breathing then they look up and hes's at the end of the hallway or something. Then his lightsaber ignites, the movie ends and none of the characters are ever mentioned again.

Gareth Edwards confirmed that there'd be no jedi in this movie. The only force user we'll see will be Vader. I trust him and I don't think he's trying to fool the audience. And I'm happy with that, because this film doesn't need any jedi and shouldn't have any. We see enough of them in the main saga.

I bet there'll be a ton of people doing Lego Rogue One trailers since there isn't as much new stuff to make compared to TFA. I'm pretty sure Forest Whitaker is going to be either a bounty hunter or mercenary type character that sort of sides with the Rebellion. During the production of the movie, the good guys were given the codename "Seals" and the Imperials got the codename "Sharks". Forest Whitaker's character apparently had the codename "Eel Leader", so that sort of seems more third party to me. |
