I've been listening to some fanmade Star Wars music.. Normally I avoid it because it doesn't really sound like music from that particular franchise... But this guy makes some cool stuff. He made a soundtrack similar to the one from the new trailer
But like yeah I'm really hype to hear the music for Rogue One. I'm actually glad that John Williams isn't composing the music for this.. Like he did some good stuff but it's kind of "out of date" now... New scoring has more "depth" to it now.. It can make you feel different emotions or whatever. John Williams' music was mostly just upbeat stuff Battle of the Heroes was really the only one to stand out. TFA didn't really have any unique tracks either... But yeah that's why I liked Kevin Kiner's music on TCW it was modern and different but at the same time feeling like Star Wars. To be completely honest I don't want Williams back for another movie but if he does 8 and 9 I will understand

His music is no doubt beautiful, but it lost its spark and like you said out of date. He was great before the 21st century, but honestly Hans Zimmer is definitely best now. I don't think Hans Zimmer should compose any Star Wars movies, but Williams is dying out and there is better composers out there now.

I still think John Williams is the best composer for film we've ever had. All of the most iconic scores (Jaws, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman) come from him. I wasn't a huge fan of The Force Awakens score when I first heard it, but after hearing it a lot I really like it now. Williams is apparently going to be scoring Episode VIII in a few months too. But I do think that the spinoff films like Rogue One will be fine without him. The music in the trailer for Rogue One already sounds amazing.

Did anyone mention the international trailer? Warning I wouldn't watch this if you don't want to know too much, there's one really intriguing line. Who is Jyn's farther?
Could he be this new imperial officer? I know that is a bit of a stretch but still not impossible, he's one of the closest to working on the Death Star. And if he's a traitor he would be executed which explains his absence in episode 4.

And if he's a traitor he would be executed which explains his absence in episode 4. Her father is Galen Erso played by Mads Mikkelsen. He hasn't been in any of the trailers yet so possibly he has a smaller role... Or maybe they haven't shown him because it would give something away... And yeah he's the architect unless that's still a rumor

This is pretty cool. I wonder how people do stop motion with action figures. It seems harder because unlike with Legos, there's not really anything for them to stand on unless clay or something is used... For this one at least I'm pretty the guy edited stuff.. But speaking of action figures I don't think they've been released yet... Typically with commissions I don't think they're given stuff to work with but idk..

Final Trailer
This is without a doubt the most visually appealing Star Wars movie yet. Every shot is beautiful.

That shot of Vader in the mist sort of reminded me of the shot from the first trailer with the bacta tank and the cloaked figure. Maybe this finally confirms that it was Vader in that tank...?

I think this trailer revealed a lot but I'm sure there are still some surprises. Saw's got some shit legs lol... I feel like if he was with the rebellion they would fix him up like Luke.. Looks like Galen (glad we finally see him) wasn't with the Empire from the start, they probably threatened him or something.. Krennic isn't scared of Vader he seems like Tarkin. Also the officers wearing white at different times.. Are they all Krennic or someone else it's hard to tell. I think when Galen is facing them, that's a younger version of Krennic.

As much as the technical aspects of this film are astonishing, the lighting isn't something I'm a fan of. Not sure what it is, but it looks a little fan filmy because of it. It also looks a little overly preachy on the whole "Rebellions are built on hope" schmaltz that nearly all trailers have been throwing at us. What's also annoying is how we've known the spoilers for this film's ending for nearly 40 years now. We know it's about the Death Star plans, which we know will wind up in the hands of Leia, we know most of these characters will likely die and we know Krennic is more than likely to meet the business end of his boss' invisible hand. Call me a party pooper, but Rouge One hasn't done much to reel me in. Looks like a typical 6, or 7/10.

Of all the questions to answer with a movie, this seems like one of the worst they could've chosen.

Just found this edit with all of the Rogue One trailers combined together. If you aren't hyped for the movie then this should help. It's so weird that this is almost out. It still feels like The Force Awakens just came out.

Back from Rogue One. It's fantastic. It feels really different from the other Star Wars films... but it's still really good. I don't know if I like it better than The Force Awakens or not. It's a lot to process.
