TCW had so many female characters because it was a full show. Star Wars trilogies are three movies. So three movies can't have female characters? They can have a balance. Females aren't any different.

Females aren't any different. But you can't use TCW as a comparison since it has hours of more content compared to a trilogy of movies.

TCW had so many female characters because it was a full show. Star Wars trilogies are three movies. The clone wars movie already had 3 female main characters (Padme, Ahsoka and Ventress) and that movie was shorter than the prequel of original movies. Yes, but three characters isn't much different than two.

I think it's too early to criticize this for it's lack of femininity. We have no idea how large of roles the two main female characters are going to have (and remember that's main characters, there's still more characters in the movie that haven't been announced yet). Male to female ratios are usually like this in movies anyway so it's not like it's never happened before.

Also most of the females in TCW had minor roles/appeared in just a few episodes.. Padme, Ventress, Ahsoka, Satine, Talzin, Aurra Sing... ahsoka is really the only one IMO... The other ones are all minor and would only appear once in a season sometimes twice if they're lucky... And even that stoped with season 6'since Ahsoka is no longer a main character.

Also, the only male main characters we had were Obi-wan and Anakin then...

Yeah that the 2 the clone wars is most focused about so... I disagree. I think Ahsoka and Anakin are the 2 most important characters. Obi-wan is often around but his character barely develops and Ahsoka/Anakin usually get the most screentime.

Clones are in nearly every episode but they're not that important.. (Not talking about ones like Rex btw) and still 13 out of about 120 episodes is not that much.. And she wasn't the focus in those episodes as well

Characters like Maul, Savage and possibly Cad Bane appeared in fewer episodes than Satine. And they were definitely important characters.

You just can't compare a series to a movie. They're different. Instead, look at specific arcs in something like TCW. Satine's the only only female character in the first Mandalore arc. She was with Padme and then Ashoka in the later one but most people didn't like those. And then her and Bo-Katan were the only female characters in the Maul/Mandalore arc. But no one knows the plot of this movie yet and how they're going to use these characters. Also, the majority of SW fans are male. Which means they're going to have more male characters. You can call it unfair all you want but that's how it works. That's how most movies are, and movies always have either more males or more females. If they have more females in a SW movie, you're going to lose some of your male audience. That's just the way things work.

Agents of Shield is a series of multiple episodes... Cap 2 is a movie. They both work in different ways, have different budgets, time slots, and audiences.

Yeah, that clone in the Citadel arc that lived for two minutes before falling into an electric mine was pretty crucial by letting the Separatists know they were there. And don't forget the random clone who piloted the Twilight and looked at naughty pictures while the others rescued R2. Or the droids standing out side guarding Ahsoka to demonstrate Anakin's piss offed ness. And then that disappearing clone trooper from the Citadel who demonstrated beaming in Star Wars

It's opinions like this which forward the general stereotype that SW and sci-fi are for boys. They're not. Remember the "Katie" campaign a few years ago? So it's not okay to lose a sexist male audience but it's okay to not have a female audience?

There are still plenty of female characters in star wars and there's going to be more in this movie.
