Well, this is it. After seven years of unknowingly waiting and over three years of actual waiting, I'm seeing another Star Wars film. God, it still feels like yesterday when I saw the massive announcement on Halloween in 2012, so this is going to be one surreal experience, probably for us all. I've read rumours and speculations, yet I've kept myself in the dark on spoilers. My innocence shall now be lost at the right moment.  I have my doubts though. I'm going in with no high expectations. I know (as I anticipated) the plot isn't very original, along with some of the designs, but hopefully the execution can come through for me. Even if this movie is bad though, I'm really eager to join the spoiler crowd and talk about it, see what went wrong, what went right and speculate the next film. Thankfully if people's reactions are anything to go by, then I might be safe on this one I'll be back in the evening to post thoughts. I might even do a review for it a little later. Anyway, I guess I'll be seeing you guys on the spoiler side of the Force in a little bit. Wish me luck |

Damn it Ivar! No spoilers! What about Snoke though? You did not mention him in your review. Will we actually find out something about him? He is shown on camera is what I'll say, but we do not get to hear from where or how he came about. I think he makes for a great villain though. I'm sure he will be explained further on in the 2nd. Even still, I'm sure you'll be pleased with his character. |

I said it on the spoiler thread, but I'll say it here too since it's not really a spoiler and I think it's something to look forward to. This movie was the most diverse Star Wars movie of all them. Not only were there dozens of new aliens (don't let the trailers fool you into thinking this movie's human dominated, there's tons of aliens), but there were also tons of people that represented races we've never seen from Star Wars before. Lots of people don't speak basic either. There are more random female characters too. It just felt like a real galaxy.

Also as a non spoiler thing, this movie was definitely the "funniest" Star Wars film. A lot of the humor works too.

Saw it. Liked it. A few rough edges here and there, so it's not perfect, but I liked it. However at times there are moments that feel as though they should be saved for another film and other moments that should've happened earlier. Nevertheless, this was good. Characters were good, surprisingly humorous and everything's kept at a nice pace. I'm annoyed at a few things though, but at the same time I find it so funny that a lot of the "rumours" (won't say which ones) were all true months and months prior to release. Looks like Disney haven't got such an iron grip after all |

I watched another spoiler-free review on Youtube, where they discussed all characters without getting into spoilery details, when they got to Snoke they simply said "We can't talk about him without spoiling anything" which makes me even more curious about Snoke... I would assume that means he is a familiar character... otherwise I wouldn't see how they couldn't say anything about him at all... but maybe everything he did/said and his entire appearance gave away a lot about the plot... well, I guess I will find out tomorrow |

I'm so bored right now though... I can't do anything on the internet until I watch the movie. At least before the official American release I still considered Reddit safe... but now I just can't visit any site other than this one and some other sites that lack any kind of user interaction. I been playing SWTOR with the chats turned off, double XP for the next two weeks. But I recently got into doing lots of PVP |

Snoke better not disappoints me. All this secrecy and mystery hyped the character so much, if it is a new character he will probably not live up to my expectations. And since I have always been a fan of the villains in Star Wars the other villains would have to make up for that disappointment.

I remember ROTS 10.5 years ago, saw that movie 3 times in theatre. Will probably see this one more then once as well.
Skipped TPM 3D since 3D sucks and I don't consider TCW movie a real Star Wars film so it's been a long time

I remember ROTS 10.5 years ago, saw that movie 3 times in theatre. Will probably see this one more then once as well. Skipped TPM 3D since 3D sucks and I don't consider TCW movie a real Star Wars film so it's been a long time 3D is pretty neat in terms of popping out certain scenes and animation clips. For me though if it becomes to flashy and to quick paced in 3D it hurts my eyes. Overall, it can be fun but I can see why it can be eh at some points. The screen is blurry if you take off your 3D glasses though so you're stuck with them the whole movie. They didn't make the premiere of this movie in 2D I don't think, at least in theaters in the surrounding counties where I live so 3D was a must. There are some people who do IMAX 3D and high surround sound. That's a little excessive to me at that point. |

I am going with expectations around ANH, I expect the film to be better then any of the prequels or at least on par of ROTS. No way it beats ESB

Looked up to see if there was any interesting Star Wars books soon, nothing very appealing its all little kids books really. There's the Force Awakens novelization which I'll probably read and this which seems kind of interesting, likely will provide backstory to the resistance and some story for the New Republic starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bloodline_(novel) |
