Since we are all Star Wars fans and this is a Star Wars Discussion thread, i figured we could use one of the upcoming episode VII I like that Hamill, Ford and Fischer will be reprising their roles and i'm also hoping for R2 and C-3PO. But i'm still very skeptical about the film in general. First off because it's Disney. Second, why do we need an Episode VII? What can it be about? Anakin is already dead just like Palpatine. So how are they going to make a nice flow instead of just making it feel like a trilogy that is part of the universe but has nothing to do with the sage before it.

I'm very skeptical as well and did Ford confirmed he was comming back for Episode VII I thought he said he hasn't made his mind yet. But they got John Williams doing the music so at least that aspect of the movie will turn out good Their has been many rumours of Episode 7 like one with Anakin reborn and another with some dark acolyte of Palpatine comes back and rules the sith/empire.

I don't trust any rumours right now. With something like Star Wars Episode VII, there are bound to be plenty of untrue stories. It's nice to know John Williams is returning to do the score again And I agree with Ivar. I'd like to see some flow with the story. I also want none of OT cast to die. I don't think that would be a cool idea.

Oh that's right John Williams is returning for the music. I can't believe i forgot to mention that :I It's like the best news to come out of Episode VII so far!! I'm a 100% Williams will deliver a fantastic score again! Even if the movie might suck.

What do Star Wars, Indiana Jones (BTW I got an Indiana Jones hat for my birthday LOL), Jaws, and Jurassic Park have in common? Awesome music, that's what!

Did you know out of all films Spielberg directed, only two of them were not scored by John Williams?

I read and heard from time to time that Ford had withdrew his deal with Disney to replay his act as Han I believe. I think he backed out. But I think he should totally be the new movies. I hate to say it but I think we are going to be shocked at how good the new movies will turn out honestly. I Still don't like what Disney Is doing to star wars but I have a feeling we are overthinking how crappy these movies will actually be. Or they might just be as crappy as we predicted who knows.

JJ Abrams... He directed the Star Trek movie from... 2010 was it? I know very little about ST but I still know he butchered the franchise. I doubt he'll do any less to Star Wars.

The movie was good. The reason why some fans didn't like it that much was because he sort of screwed up the continuum. It would be hard to screw up on star wars.

It might've been because I didn't know much about ST so I wouldn't have known what he screwed up.

As long as R2 and C-3PO are in it, it should be somewhat good.

I wonder if the new movie will be in 3D? I think it porbably will be, but it's Sc-Fi and with today's standards in Special Effects and CGI i'm sure it will look pretty good. Unless it's another terrible conversion.

I asked three people who saw the Original trilogy when they were like 6, and two of them said that they thought Disney was going to do a good job with the new trilogy. Their reason was because Disney has made a lot of other good movies, like Marvel films. The other said no, saying that there would only be 3 true SW movies-the Originals. I have to say that I think that Disney may do an okay job with it. There isn't enough info out yet for me to say whether or not I think it will be great.

There shouldn't be any Sith in Episode 7. But only a FEW Jedi.

Your words hurt my ears. He never EVER butchered Star Trek. He REVIVED it for god's sake! TWICE! Old fans loved his new movies and with the modern update in technology and it's worldwide praise and popularity more and more people start becoming Trekkies. Including myself.

The Plot has been rumoured to be something like this:
The daughter of Han and Leia (or was it Luke and someone we have yet to meet) is training to become a Jedi in the new order set up by Luke Skywalker long ago. She is good friends with a boy of her age but he eventually falls for the dark side.
That's everything so far. To be clear: "It is a rumour! NOT a fact!" But you have to admit that is sounds pretty plausible and female protagonist would be very welcome IMO. I alway thought the Sequel trilogy would have a female main character. As long as she is a Skywalker. Because like we know. Star Wars is mostly about the Skywalkers.
