It's really to bad that Luke didn't survive in a physical form. Seeing a showdown duel between Palpatine and Luke would've been awesome to see. It really would've been cool to see how much Luke could have held his own against the Emperor this time around and would've shown us just how much he's grown in his powers since the last encounter in ROTJ. I'm still holding out hope J.J can still come up with something to deliver us with though. If nothing else at least give us a duel of some sorts with the emporer.

It's possible there might be some sort of ethereal fight between Luke and Palpatine, although I'm not sure how that would tie into the story. Plus this trilogy seems to prefer giving the new characters most of the action instead of the older ones. |

The revealed some new "Sith Trooper" in the form of toys which is basically just a red stormtrooper with slightly different armor. Some people are getting so excited... It's a red fucking stormtrooper who cares lol.

It's a little more striking than the usual thanks to the colour and I do appreciate how they've incorporated different parts from previous armour designs. That said, the Sith Troopers from Old Republic games look cooler  |

I'm hoping the Unknown Regions factor in to an extent. The shot of several ISDs makes me think there's a good chance, especially given Palpatine's interest toward it.
The dark Rey scene is probably either a vision akin to Luke's in Ep. V or some form of manipulation by Sidious. But hey, her double-bladed lightsaber is like Krell's!

Kylo's still probably my favorite character from the Sequel Trilogy. I hope they don't kill him off. Adam Driver is a fantastic actor. Really they're all pretty solid actors but the writing and characters are just so shitty... Rey is just unbearable. And as good as Driver is, there's only so much he can do for Kylo. Kylo's character is so poor. He basically just went through a little edgy phase but sorta calmed down and now wants to go back to mommy but he's too embarrassed. The pull to the dark side is understandable. Someone can want power because of selfishness and for personal gain. But flip flopping between light and dark is ridiculous. At least that's what I think is going on with him. It's hard to tell when my expectations are constantly being subverted... Maybe I'm missing something though so it'd be great if someone can actually explain how Kylo Ren is a well written character. Hell explain how anyone, Rey, Finn, Poe, etc are well written lmao |

Honestly it looks... pretty good. TLJ trailers weren’t really doing it for me and I went in expecting to be disappointed. I have better expectations this time but I lack the confidence they can neatly tie this up in one film.
TFA laid an excellent foundation even if it was copy and pasted from ANN. But when it’s all said and done does TLJ actually contribute anything to this trilogy? I don’t this so, Snoke is just gonna be written off as an irrelevant character and it seems the resistance has recovered fine from the attack so...

Love how people are poking fun at that 3PO line Honestly, other than the pretty shots, it really didn't grab me. It just feels a bit empty and there's no fun surprise. It lacks substance really. |
