Judging by Daves interview last week, we can expect season 4 to be announced quite soon. Probably the last season.
Was wondering if Thrawn would still be around next season, but I doubt it. They been keeping to his EU storyline quite a lot and around the current time is when Thrawn leaves to expand the empire in the unknown regions. Though it would be cool if he was around they could so some cool stuff with him.
Now that I think about it, that planned episode arc in TCW with the Vong may have featured a younger Thrawn based on Outbound Flight book when he first meets Sidious. One of Thrawns motivations to work with the Empire is the threat of the Vong

This is the episode with Mon Mothma, though kind of an odd preview. They're hiding in a separatist ship though

Hmm I came up with sort of a new theory for Mauls fate.
Maul goes to Obi-Wan and asks for his help against the Sith, Kenobi refuses and they fight. Maul however escapes.
Now in season 4, Maul goes after the Sith himself realizing he's the only one left with the chance to stop them really, at this point you could almost say he's become a semi good guy.
This would be the perfect way to bring back Vader and cameo Sidious for once and likely only one time. Sidious doesn't even have to fight. Could be like The Force Unleashed where he sits in his chair and watches Maul and Vader.
I think Maul dying to the Sith could be a fitting end then old Kenobi at this point

The last few weeks were all really good, the Imperial episode and the 2 Mandalorian/ Sabine ones.
This one was pretty much all over the place IMO, the first half was pretty bad IMO and the second half was ok. Hera episodes are just not good, they don't improve with the show. Sabine, Ezra/ Kanan all have improved greatly since the start of this show. Zeb and Chopper even have become a lot more fleshed out. But Hera hasn't made many changes, she started stronger then most probably but has stayed static.
Anyways one more filler and then we get the Maul and after that the finale

I agree. This was a pretty meh episode. It was actually probably one of my least favorite of the season.
The budget constraints showed worse in this episode than they ever have. "You can't board our vessel due to security reasons." No, it's because they don't have the budget to design an interior for the other ship. And the ending at Dantooine... it was cool to finally see Dantooine, but we didn't really actually "see" it. They just sat in orbit... again, they don't bother to design a new planet's surface. What's the point in meeting at Dantooine if you're just going to sit in orbit? It can be pretty repetitive when so many episodes take place on the Ghost for 80% of the time.
And the Imperials... again, they were terrible. I don't even know why Governor Pryce tagged along this time. I guess it was her turn to be embarrassed as the rebels get away this week.

Pryce: "Allow me the honor to capture Senator Mothma."
Thrawn: "Ok. You better take Admiral Konstantine with you too since he's such a good luck charm with capturing the rebels."

Two good episodes in a row???
So the rebellion is official now... This should have been a two part episode tbh to not only give a longer story but to emphasize its importance... Like yeah what they showed in the 22 minutes was effective but it felt too quick... and there wasn't really anything building up to the joining of the rebellion. It was filler after filler and then Mon Mothma gives a speech and boom......
Animation was quite good in this though. But Ezra's getting cringey again and that gaylord senator aide was annoying...

It wasn't a terrible episode though... I really liked the TIE Defender. It looked good, it had some really awesome abilities, and it actually took out most of Gold Squadron. Since it wasn't destroyed, I think we'll see it again in the finale (maybe along with more). Mon Mothma was also done really well and I'm happy they got her Rogue One actress back to voice her.

One more thing... how the hell did Ezra become such a good pilot? I get that Hera probably taught him some things, but him ordering around Gold Leader just didn't make much sense.

Yeah I'm kind of sick of every episode being a space battle or inside the ghost but I kind of liked the Y-wing stuff in this one..

They should've had a different title than "Secret Cargo"... that's such an inappropriate name for the episode where the Rebel Alliance is basically formed...

The explosion was cool...
And I liked that they emphasized Y-Wings not being good in fighter to fighter combat, they're bombers. They need actual fighter escort, which I think they will realize now and we will see the X-Wing finally in season 4. X-Wings are a mix of bombers and fighters really.

Pryce: "Allow me the honor to capture Senator Mothma." Thrawn: "Ok. You better take Admiral Konstantine with you too since he's such a good luck charm with capturing the rebels." Yeah Thrawn is the only competent one... and Tarkin. At least we will get to see both in the finale I believe.

And yeah the budget restraint was evident with Dantooine this time....
But I mean overall this season has been great with planets I'd say. Or just locations. We've had Lothal (reused of course), Geonosis, Concord Dawn moon, Dathomir, Clan Wren planet, Rebel base planet. Plus the asteroid base was cool from son of dathomir and soon we will have Tatooine.
Next season we will probably see Dantooine as their temporary base for awhile before moving to Yavin I guess

Added a poll. And if his fate is ambiguous like Ahsoka's, then I'd say that counts as him not "dying". I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he will die. I do think there's a chance he'll still survive (or they'll pull another Ahsoka), but it just makes the most sense for Obi-Wan to kill him.

I'll say yes, it makes sense for Kenobi to be ruthless in his defense of Luke. It's his entire purpose for the last 20 years just about.
