Hmm what if Rey becomes increasingly bad but Kylo becomes more good...
Snoke sees Rey as stronger so he wants her instead and cuts Kylo out, if Snoke really is Plagueis then that might be something he would do...
Then we see like Kylo go back to Luke and they work together against Rey and Snoke, though idk if they would kill Rey. But idk just a generic idea I saw in that review, it's different from the other Star Wars movies but could be interesting if done right

The thing is Rey turning to the darkside would feel forced, unless they change her personality a lot. Like for Anakin throughout the prequels and TCW he had a bit of a darkside-personality, but that isn't present in Rey.

Like for Anakin throughout the prequels and TCW he had a bit of a darkside-personality, but that isn't present in Rey. Nah for Anakin it was 100% forced because they HAD to make him Vader, we knew he had to go dark side. For Rey it doesn't seem that forced, she has no idea what the force is. She questioned Kylo in the fight when he said the force. So since she's completly ignorant to what the force is then it could work.

Like for Snoke this is a big game, he will let them kill eachother and then he will take the winner. Apparently there's a part where they had Snoke talk to Rey and he told her to kill Kylo and join him, it might be in the novel. But it was and idea they had
Next movie I'd expect Kylo to be more bad, but maybe Luke will train Rey well and Kylo will doubt that the dark side is stronger, after all Luke is credited for defeating Palpatine, people don't know Vader killed him I don't think.
And then maybe Snoke displays his power and Rey sees more potential in the dark side, and sees Luke has little to teach

I think we already saw parts where Kylo doubted himself and Snoke... when he looks into the mask of Vader and is practically asking for guideance of how the dark side is so powerful

He could turn to the light again, but we haven't truly seen the impact the murder of Han had on him yet. Maybe it erased his doubts, or made them worse.

I doubt his family told him a fake story about the fall of the empire, especially since he worships his grandfather, I'm sure someone would have told him Vader turned to the light in the end. Also, maybe most people just assume the Emperor died in the Death Star explosion.

In the old EU no one actually believed Vader saved Luke and that he was redeemed, they all thought Luke took both of them on. People saw Vader as super evil so I wouldn't be surprised if nobody believed him and Kylo in his current state likely would deny it anyways

And I guess most people don't know what happened on the Death Star at all. I mean Luke Skywalker himself was kind of a myth, so I doubt what happened on the Death Star is common knowledge. I suspect most people really just think both Vader and Sidious died in the Death Star explosion.

I suspect most people really just think both Vader and Sidious died in the Death Star explosion. Most people probably didn't even know a second Death Star existed, it seemed quite secret. But then again for like 95% of the Galaxy they're probably not very affected by the politics of the Empire vs Rebellion. I doubt Han even knows the total story of Luke vs Vader and Palpatine and I doubt he cares too much, to know. I have a feeling Han didn't approve of Kylo learning to become a Jedi either but Leia probably encouraged it

In The Force Awakens novelization Snoke tells Kylo that compassion was Vader's downfall. So it seems like both him and Kylo know that Vader was redeemed, but they simply ignore it and see Darth Vader as Anakin's "true self".

And according to Bloodline, the only people that know what happened on the Death Star (at that point in the timeline at least) were Luke, Leia, and Han. I think they might have even kept it from Chewie (or he just didn't care ).

Not for me, to be honest. All it does is serve as a constant reminder of one my biggest gripes about this new trilogy Also, I just know the red font's gonna make people think Maul's in this somehow. I guarantee you it'll happen.

Yeah, even if Maul would still be alive at that point putting him in the movie would confuse the "casual" viewers who didn't watch TCW since they still believe Maul to be dead. Wonder if that red color has another meaning... Perhaps R4 is still alive??

Lame. Also it breaks the pattern of the naming. Jedi has already been used to. And please no red font for the actual movie please...

This might have been analyzed already or even sound crazy but do you think that Snoke could be Darth Bane? We don't really know if he was successful in his essence transfer right before his death with his apprentice. Wouldn't that be something if he lived on all these years starting with his preservation through Zannah. Then again you would think he would have intervened by now. He does look like an ancient figure though. Thoughts?

Wonder when we will get some actual footage... Rian Johnson recently confirmed an Episode VIII panel at Celebration in April, so I guess we'll see a trailer there. Still a good few weeks away though
