Okay, so the other day I was thinking about what my favorite shows are. The Clone Wars is definitely up there, as are like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. But I started thinking about how when I think of how much I like TCW, there's actually a small pool of episodes I think about. I mean, every show has better episodes and some that weren't that good. But when I started thinking about it, there's actually a lot of episodes that aren't that good. And sadly, there's a few that I really hate. So I kinda wanted to figure out on as a whole, were the majority of the episodes good? In a show like this, that's really what makes this show a success or not. It isn't like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, where you can relate to an arc as a whole. Arcs do exist, but there isn't one central story tying everything together. The Clone Wars is more episodic. And for an episodic show to work, it needs to be an enjoyable show for the majority of the time. So this is what I'm doing. We're gonna go through every episodes of TCW and we'll vote on if it's good, meh, or bad. Just for clarification:
-Masterpiece episodes are the pinnacle of TCW. Be it a game changing story, breathtaking moments, or whatever, these are the stories that rival or exceed the films. When you try to prove to people TCW is amazing, you use these episodes first.
-Fantastic episodes are a step of the rest. These episodes typically have an exceptional story or amazing visuals. You definitely rewatch these.
-Good episodes are episodes that had a good story, were enjoyable the whole time and you would watch it again.
-Meh episodes are episodes that either had a lacking in story or quality, or were just kinda boring. It's okay, but you wouldn't really watch it.
-Scum episodes are episodes that were extremely stupid or boring. What you're saying with a scum episode is that Dave should've shredded the script and had everyone start over.
Here are my guesses for what the seasons will be:
I think Seasons 1, 3, and 5 will be meh.
And Seasons 2, 4, and 6 will be good.
But we'll find out.

The Clone Wars movie was Meh. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good. I first watched it without knowing there was a Clone Wars series and while I thought it wasn't bad it just didn't feel like Star Wars that much and wasn't really that great as a standalone movie (although it was a good introduction to the series).

Yeah, I agree with Pinda. I think TCW movie would've been better as a TV movie or just episodes. It ruined a lot of peoples' perception of TCW before it started (thx George). But the movie itself wasn't terrible. Yeah, there were some corny moments but it did a good job of introducing Ventress and the fights were cool. I didn't like how Obi broke the rules of war tho.

I like all of it i was able to enjoy every episode.
Maybe a couple political eps were boring but still enjoyable

Evil Plans was far from the best episode and Crisis on Naboo didn't have a great ending... but still they were good episodes. |

Well, there are episodes like The Lawless that are extremely good. And then there are episodes like Hunt for Ziro, which are good but far below The Lawless. Maybe having 5 options would be better. |

I'd say the film was good. Yes, there were moments of cringiness, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Honestly, I like every episode of TCW. Of course, there are some that are much better than others, but there aren't really any episodes I'd say I "dislike". As for the movie, I'd say it was good. Nothing spectacular, but it was still enjoyable.

The line between Outstanding and Great is kinda vague. And I really don't like number/star ratings for TV. I think I'll go with four options.

Tbh I think the clone wars is mainly good and enjoyable only because it is an animated show and most of the time that has really good budget thanks to GL. You actually put a good chunk of those stories in books or comics like a lot of the Star Wars EU and it will just be terrible.
I doubt the show made much profit either since GL out a lot of his own funding into it which Disney didn't care for either

The film is good. The voice acting is good and the animation isn't that bad, except for the facial expressions.
The movie is easy to describe: It's an action film in the Star Wars universe. Nothing more, nothing less. And it does exactly that.

Lucas thought it was an excellent idea after months of hardwork to create 4 separate episodes that it was okay to just jumble them all together and put it into the movie theaters which results in muddled storylines, and confusing cut scenes, rushing, etc.
