That was probably the best non-battle/non-finale episode in a long time... some great character moments. But this definitely sets up a lot of people dying next episode.

The entire episode could have been those characters sitting by the fire and talking more and it'd be just as good.

I went in concerned this would be too much set up, but it worked very well. The characters all had solid moments throughout the episode and everything felt natural. The scenes by the fire were probably the best, and it really reminded me of classic GOT episodes where moments like these would consist of a majority of the episode.

The Night King wasn't shown in the final shot, so I think this is a hint he either won't be at the Battle of Winterfell, or will be, but not initially.

This episode, apparently called "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" had so many great character moments. It's a fitting farewell to a lot of these characters who likely will die in the coming battle. Part of me also wonders if they'll choose to kill all those that were in the room by the fire.
Another theory now surfacing comes from Podrick's song, and it's alleged hints at how the show will end. Not sure if I buy into that completely, but it does seem possible.

I liked it. It was fun seeing everyone chilling, getting ready for the battle. Good opportunity to get certain characters to talk such as Jorah and the little Mormont girl. Yeah it's possible everyone at the fire will die because Tyrion said they'd live lol... That would suck though those are like most of my favorite characters. Jaime knighting Brienne was so cute... Also Arya's lowkey psycho Gendry shouldn't have smashed

This episode surprised me in the best way possible.

Tyrion should’ve asked Podrick again about his time with the mistresses lol

If Bran dies without a successor then all humans “go savage?”
Did I understand that right?

But anyway this was a really good episode. I like how they gave all the characters a chance to breathe. I feel like Season 7 was missing that.

Tyrion should’ve asked Podrick again about his time with the mistresses lol I'm going with the theory that he just sang to them.

If Bran dies without a successor then all humans “go savage?” Did I understand that right? I think it's implied that if he dies, then years of memory and history of Westeros dies with him. Kind of like if an invading country burns down the library of a place they're invading (destroy their history so it's like they never existed). I kind of wish there was more to it than that, and maybe there still is, but I guess it's fine. I'm not expecting the Night King to be some complex guy... Cersei's the more "human" villain right now anyway.

I felt wrong during the Arya scene. Anyone else? I didn't quite feel like that, but there was a different weight to seeing Arya like this versus other female characters. We've grown up alongside her from when he was a child, so finally seeing her in this situation really demonstrates once again how much she's matured.

Death predictions: -Jorah -Theon -Grey Worm IDK who else I wouldn't be surprised if Jaime, Beric, or Davos also died. I feel like Jaime is going to stick around for whatever will happen in King's Landing later in the season. Beric could totally die, he is not relevant to the story at all. I hope Davos survives, he is my favorite character. And as of now I feel like he could survive because there was a scene mentioned that involves Davos in an interview I read. That scene hasn't happened yet (I think). So unless it happens early in this episode Davos cannot die.

I really feel like Sam is going to write everything down in the end... They hinted at that again this episode when they had Sam saying the only way to truly die is by being forgotten... It would make sense if he would write it all down...
I really hope they won't go that route though, it's boring and unoriginal.

Put up a dead poll. Hope it isn’t too predictable. Pretty much everyone called what would happen in “Beyond the Wall.”

Jaime, Jorah, Tormund, Brienne, Grey Worm, and Beric are the ones most in peril I think. I considered picking Theon also, but part of me thinks they'll keep him around just to subvert expectations.
If Tyrion and Jorah both died, that would put Dany in an interesting situation, since both of her main advisers aren't around to prevent her from possibly going mad.
Also I wonder if Melisandre will show up at all, or if they'll wait til we move to Kings Landing to have her appear again.
