Oh, and Danaerys suddenly coming back and Drogon just being seen in the corner of the screen for two seconds... that was really dumb.

That joking session they had was pretty funny though.

This season is just a damn mess IMO...
Aryas storyline was so pointless, the entire last two seasons. She left Westeros and nothing significant happened, no consequence from the blindness either.
The Blackfish stuff sucked, we never got to even see him die, we were just told about and the outcome felt so anti climatic...
Danys trip to Westeros is once again delayed and likely won't happen this season...
Nothing really happened between Jaime and Brienne...
Kings Landing was the best part in this episode, and normally it's the worst cause the faith suck...
....
I miss when GOT was good every episode, I just finished rewatching all of season 4 and it was spectacular. This season and last season just feels so weird. We are going to be thrown into the winterfell stuff next week and we hardly seen anything leading up to it....

The last three episodes were just really bad for GOT standards... Like in this episode we had the Tully vs Lannister thing which they have been setting-up for a few episodes... and barely anything happened now... this hyped Blackfish guy died off-screen, Brienne fled for some reason (instead of just making the deal she wanted to make with the Blackfish with Edumere). Pointless story. I (like most people) was certain that there was more to the Arya plotline that one would expect... I mean one episode we see her hiding in a cave with her weapon, preparing for a fight, and the next episode she walks around Braavos in new clothes and with lots of money and gets stabbed, then somehow survives that... I was certain there was some Faceless Men deception going on there... but no... Arya just pretty much came back from the death and somehow was lucky enough to outrun the Waif in that cave and kill her... seems like a bad plan (and bad writing) to me. If the Waif had just stabbed her better she would just have died like a retard... Daenerys storyline was also kind of pointless... and Tyrion has become a minor character... and we only have 14 episodes left in the series... yet they wasted like 10 minutes on that joking scene... Really have no idea how they are planning to tie everything up in 14 episodes at this pace... I mean nothing really happened in the last 3 episodes... And Tommen cancelled Cleganebowl and other potential trail by combat theories. {Lady Stoneheart}Beric sacrificed himself to bring back Catelyn Stark in the books. But he is still alive in the show, and Catelyn has been dead for years (as they say in this episode). Of course the show could revive her differently... but they have been teasing it so hard... even in this episode, so much mention of Catelyn... yet after all the other mistakes this season it might just be meaningless.

Either way, looks like the next episode will almost entirely be Jon vs Ramsay... even though the outcome is probably obvious... Ramsay dies, Jon doesn't. It's quite possible Littefinger comes to "save Jon" only to maybe turn against them later... but other than that it seems pretty boring... At least Davos may find out what happened to Shireen, judging from the preview, that is something I want to see... I just hope he survives this episode... only character with Jon I care about...

But one of these next two episodes better has a good twist. the only good one this season was the Hodor one... even though some people saw it coming, it was still nicely done.

To be fair, with the massive number of crazy Game of Thrones theories out there, I don't think there's a single twist that they can pull off without at least one person that already predicted it.

This season was really good for the first five episodes, but the last three have been really slow and have had a lot of missteps. I'm confident the last two will be great though.

Yeah, the episodes have been meh. They've had returns of characters in them, but other than that it hasn't been too exciting.

The premiere was bad IMO... This whole season overall has been bad. People are most interested in Winterfell, the first few episodes had Nights Watch and Ramsay carrying the show

Really, only Bran's storyline was good this season. Ramsay was... well.. just Ramsay, not very god but also not bad. Jon/Sansa was okay, but predictable. But everything else was kind of below average in my opinion.

Prediction: Lady Stoneheart in the season finale. Why else bring back Beric and Thoros?

Oh you know, just fleeing from zombies, fighting white walkers with his undead uncle and having visions of the mad king... nothing even remotely as interesting as Arya sleeping or Tyrion drinking whine...

Prediction: Lady Stoneheart in the season finale. Why else bring back Beric and Thoros? Well (let's keep Sonteheart in spoiler tags) I agree, there has to be a reason... but it would have to be very different from the books... the red wedding was years ago, if Catelyn stark came back from the death people would have known by now... and they can't revive her now since her body would have been rotten. Also, the guy they executed is apparently strongly associated with Lady Stoneheart... so maybe his execution (and the Hound pissing in the river, where Catelyn's body was found) was a way of saying "it's not happening". Btu still... Brienne will meet a "friend turned foe" and Catelyn was mentioned so many times this episode... they almost have to do it...

Of course. And so is Melisandra... Davos is going to find out what happened to Shireen next episode for sure... Just hope he lives... (and Mel probably will live too... but still...)

There's a new theory that Varys has betrayed Daenerys and his been sabotaging her this whole season.
According to the theory, Varys was the one who had the fleet burned. And he left on a "secret mission" because he knew they were about to get attacked.
It kinda makes sense. Why would the Sons of the Harpy want her ships burned? They want her to GTFO.

There is a lot of little things in the show pointing to the fact he doesn't like th current crown aka Lannisters that much with the exception being Tyrion

I think Qyburn's going to do that on the show. I think Varys is headed to Dorne to make an agreement with them. Dany can then enter Westeros through there and head up north.
