My Nana died of cancer and my Lottie had cancer so this would mean a lot to me. Yeah, my grandfather died from cancer as well. But the thing is though once you cure a disease another will rise, it has always happened and will likely happen again. Once we cure cancer there will be another disease just as deadly, still the average lifespan would probably increase. And what is a lottie?

They probably already found a cure for some cancers. They just want the money. Once there is a cure, there is no need for charities or donations or anymore income to feed the "search" for a cure.

Yeah, the have a huge conservative bias, I have seen some of their videos and read some of their articles before, most of it is made up stuff and they throw in some facts to make it look reliable.

I've heard Fox News claim that because we legalized gay marriage in the Netherlands marriage between more than 2 people is now also legal. The's certainly incorrect ("group marriage" is illegal in any Western culture). And they claimed that it's legal to euthanize children who are tired of life with suicide-pills (which is totally ridiculous). And they're using all of that to get people to support their conservative views.

Doubt they found a cure for all cancer... I don't know. But they found some bacteria that successfully destroyed cancer cells in dogs. Did it successfully destroy every last cell? Because unless it can do that, the cells that resist it will simply multiply and create a new generation of bacteria resistant cancer cells. This is why chemo-therapy doesn't always work.

I don't know. It's probably in it's early research stage since they're still testing it on animals. Still, I assume it works better than chemotherapy since there appear to be no side-effects. Also, cancer cells luckily can't spread from human to human, so the cancer would never become fully immune to any medicines (unlike bacterial diseases).

Did you hear about the contagious cancer in Tasmanian Devils a few years ago? Apparently, each individual's DNA is so similar, that when they are fighting over food, some cancer cells will break off and get into the bloodstream of another devil. While in humans, our immune system would recognize the foreign material and exterminate it, in the devils, their immune systems think that the cells are their own. Then the cancer starts to develop in a new devil. It's kind of scary, actually, but something like this would never develop in humans. (Hopefully )

Every few seconds you DNA copies itself but the older you get the larger the chances of a failed copy. And failed copies can get correct but some times they cause cancer. Since we can't really adopt somebody else's DNA it can never be contagious. Cancer needs to be part of your body to grow.

Since we can't really adopt somebody else's DNA it can never be contagious. Cancer needs to be part of your body to grow. Well you are partially right, but cancer can be caused by more things than just age, for instance, gamma radiation, which rips apart DNA and causes mutations to happen. Secondly, cancer cells are just normal cells that have mutated to go "off the grid" and multiply without stopping. It creates an environment that has millions of cells competing for space and resources. These cancer cells start mutating, a sort of small scale evolution, if you will. For example, lets say one of the cells develops a mutation that allows it to gather nutrition faster than the rest. This allows the cells with the mutation to overcroud the rest, making the mutated cells the majority. Eventually, one cell will mutate to allow it to spray a chemical that will break through the tumor walls. Then the cancer spreads through your lymph system or your bloodstream, intoxicating the rest of your body. Also, the reason the cancer in the devils was contagious was because their DNA is so similar their own immune system cannot tell the difference. It is correct that such a thing will most likely never happen in humans. We are just too different.

And even without an immune system we don't just randomly adopt other people's DNA, humans can't do that.

That's weird... But I don't really understand how that even works. We're 4D "objects" but we live in a 2D hologram? Sounds odd, but I guess those scientists know more about it than me But if we're actually a hologram (I don't think that's what they actually mean) would that make us artificial intelligence?
