Hey guys, I've decided to make my own Hobbit trailer. Although we have all seen the movie, I thought it would be pretty cool to make my own trailer of my own, for the Hobbit. I will use music, pictures, video effects and etc. From what I have so far and the effects I put into it, it seems like a fun project. Can't wait to show it to you guys. If it turns out to be good, I may end up doing more for other movies. It sounds stupid but it's actually a cool project to make your own trailer when you do it. When I am done I will attach it to this thread . Let me know what you think of this idea.

I'm not sure what the DOS theme song was but if you have it a link would be nice. I can't seem to locate it.

I got a nice chunk of the trailer done today, I'm excited for this! When it's all said and done, I think it will turn out pretty neat. There are so many video effects and things to work with, it's really fun to work on this as a project.

What program are you using for this? I wanted to do something like this once but couldn't because I couldn't find anything to use.

What program are you using for this? I wanted to do something like this once but couldn't because I couldn't find anything to use. Windows movie maker, the new version. It's the same thing as the old but it has more edits and things to work with. It's amazing how taking pictures and songs from various sites can be transformed into a trailer by editing and etc. I'm sure there are other programs out there but this is the one I'm using and it works well. It's up to date and my school uses it as well in our tech classes.

Progress is really coming along on my trailer. I plan on making this around 4 minutes long, when it's all said and done. I'm into it at about 2 minutes and still working. It looks great so far.

My fanmade trailer for a game just got shared on twitter by one of the game's developers for the second time I didn't notice the first time it was shared until about a month later. But this time I could reply to it... but I'm not sure how. Just saying "Thank you" seems kinda plain...

Seems pretty neat to have yours go around on Twitter. I don't think I've seen the trailer, I believe.

I have to say, making trailers for games is a lot harder than making them for series (I used to make lots of TCW trailers). I wasn't too happy about the result... but apparently other people are.

No idea what that was about . But how it was edited with the music and the suspense was pretty neat though. I think if I get a lot of likes on the Hobbit trailer I'm developing now, I may try a Clone Wars one as well.

I'm still not sure how to reply to the developer sharing it though... Does anyone have any ideas?

I've got time. But maybe not for all . I understand. These are the ones I personally believe to be the best out of my videos.

Newan, Namialus, Potato, Pinda, Spidyyr, Star, @ferusolin77, Ivar-Jedi, Malgus, bane, @ferusolin77, Kenbo, Maverick-Jedi-Valen, Legolas, bobafett590, Captain Rex 75-67, red, Echani and Tyler Joseph. I have finished making my Hobbit trailer. So here it is. I hope you guys enjoy watching it as much as I have had making it. It has sound (except the first three slides)- so please turn up your speakers or put in your earbuds. Please leave a review afterwards (on this forum), if you don't mind, as to what you thought of it. Please be honest, I would like to hear what you guys have to say about it . Click on the blue label 'Watch on Vimeo'. Sorry the frame of the video isn't as big as the screen. I forgot to do that.

On a more critical note, since you want us to be honest, there was some greyish kind of space in between slides that I guess you could have edited out. (I don't know much about that)

Yeah pretty good video but it was more of a slideshow.. But that's alright baby steps actual like footage and whatnot would be a bit more difficult even I'm not 100% sure on how to do that... ... Also there were a few grammatical errors...

I thought it was very good for you first time though like Kenobi said maybe when you get better at it try adding some more footage from the movie though I don't relay know how to do that either... Pinda would probably know that kind of stuff the best. Also Spider and me liked Kenobis comment at the same time

Also Spider and me liked Kenobis comment at the same time I think you have to like download videos or something and cut parts of it an put it into your video editing software thing... Idk I tried it once but it didn't really work and I didn't want to mess up my computer... @___@

I wanted to add video footage of the movie itself, clip by clip, but how to do that ,I don't really know how. So for my first try I decided to do a slideshow style like pinda said.

If you can find a download link for clips you need (Youtube video will also work since you can download those) I can explain to you how to make video trailers.

Nice trailer. It may have been a simpler type, but it was still very nice. And like the others said, just watch your grammar and maybe some quicker changes between slides so there isn't a gray scene for a second or two.

What do you guys mean by gray slides in between slides? Some of that might have been the effects added. like fading in or fade out to white.
