I'm heading up another trailer project for LOTR:Fellowship of the ring. It will still have to be slidshow style put to music. However, this time I will watch for grammar, gray in betweens, add more scenes from the movie and etc. I've got some good ideas already as to what I could do. I would do actual video clips but all this software junk and etc. is so hard to figure out . All the computer talk is like a language of it's own.

I'm trying to make a teaser trailer for something that I'll be doing. I'm trying to figure out how to get some good music to go with it for windows movie maker but I don't want to do anything illegal. Could someone maybe tell me what I can and can't do with the music. I've tried looking up some info on it, but there's too many different opinions and I don't want to download something that could give my computer a virus. Sorry, I've never really tried doing this with music before.

I did this simple trick for my GOT video, it is not illegal. I uploaded it from movie maker to YouTube. YouTube did NOT give me any strikes for it but they did tell me that they would put advertisements on the video or page for the content.

Yes on movie maker you can download music from special sites things that go with it, but they are pretty much not good. You can use iTunes. Star wants to get music from some site maybe but he wants to make sure it isn't a Trojan horse or illegal mucis.

Okay star here s how to do it. On Movie maker go to record sound: Play the song in another tab and then star to record and it records whatever it hears, which is the music. It works out fine. Also on youtube you do get a 3rd party claim but it isn't a strike, all it is or was for me was that it said it would advertise something. Just remember to include the artist name in the description.

Star, you can use the music tracks from this website for free, and the music is Royalty Free, all you have to do is credit the songwriter. incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?genre=Soundtrack

After I downloaded Windows Movie Maker to my brothers computer, he allowed me to use it to make a trailer of my own. MAN! What a difference a computer upgrade can do for you! I found some HD DOS Hobbit clips on Youtube and for the past three days worked on and completed a trailer for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Its 2:15 in length, so its more of a teaser but I feel as if I did a great job, I finally completed one with clips! I hope I entertain you guys. I'll post it Sunday, although its done or maybe Saturday, once I get it on Vimeo but be here to see it. I know I promised more trailers in the past but this one is for real and ready to go.

Newan, Spidyyr, Namialus, Pinda, Potato, Star, Kenbo, bane, Malgus, Ivar-Jedi, @ferusonlin77, Echani, red, Maverick-Jedi-Valen, I have completed and finished my Teaser trailer for The Desolation of Smaug! I feel as if I did a great job on this, considering this is my first video clip trailer. It took me awhile to get it up to the site because I had to convert the video to HD. But its up and ready to go as promised. Let me know what you think and your thoughts . I have privacy settings for my profile on Vimeo, so just click, go to Vimeo, where it says it on the attachment, thanks. Turn the speakers up! Volume works fine with speakers but I always think headphones give it a more crisp sound to any movie and video.

What specifically though? I can look it up and watch it just fine even without my link on my phone. What does it say or what happens when you click the link. Webpage unavailable, black screen? Its fairly easy to find without the link if you want to try that.

Dang that is legit. The transitions were a little harsh, but I suppose it is hard to get it smooth with the footage you had. Nice job, though.

I appreciate the feedback. I used a lot of previous suggestions you guys gave me from the last few trailers I made to make this one. They sure do help.

Click the one that says, My Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug trailer. Its actually really easy to find.

Yeah a lot of the transitions were a little weird the volume was kinda all over the place. And then there was this one part where Thorin was shouting but you couldn't hear him saying anything. The clips were well chosen though, and it just needs a bit polishing.
