Yeah a lot of the transitions were a little weird the volume was kinda all over the place. And then there was this one part where Thorin was shouting but you couldn't hear him saying anything. The clips were well chosen though, and it just needs a bit polishing. Which transitions in particular would toy say were out of place? IDK, just like it would cut away too fast, like there should be a bit of a pause.

Well I think most if not all transitions would be better with maybe like a fade in/out effect..

The trailer was pretty good. There was a scene or two that had no speaking when there should've been, but I don't know if it was supposed to be like that. There wasn't exactly a bunch of music playing then like the later scenes, so I wasn't sure which way it was supposed to go. Still really good though.

Okay, so here's the deal. Most of you probably forgot I mentioned this, but the trailer for the memories on this site I was going to create will have to be a bust. I was all excited and had many ideas but fortunately I ran into some software issues that made that go downhill, (until I can figure out how to fix it). Anyways, I was already in the mood to create a trailer and I decided to make one for The Battle of The Five Armies. I made sure before I mentioned this that everything was in working order that way it would guarantee that you guys would get to see it. I'm really excited about this one and it will include real video footage and music and the necessities. This will complete my trailer saga for The Hobbit; with all the advice from the previous three I have made that I received from you guys and with new video software, this one seems to be looking up. That's the scoop, so stay tuned.I'm aiming to release this over Thanksgiving break, so stay tuned and I hope you guys will like it when it's all said and done . {Spoiler} My grammar sucked in that paragraph, sorry, keep it a secret shhhh .

It's shaping together well guys! This new software is a lot better and more audio options to help adjust the levels. This should be my best trailer yet.

Newan, Spidyyr, Potato, Kenbo, Namialus, bane, Ivar-Jedi, Maverick-Jedi-Valen, Legolas, Pinda, Star. Here it is, my trailer. Let me know what you think after you watch. I tried to do my best in smoothening my transitions as best I could and hopefully I put on the best production trailer I could and I hope you guys like it . BTW the sound has no issues whatsoever, however, earbuds always seem to help in crispening the sound for whatever reason.

I thought the transitions and music were much better for this one.

I'm more than likely headed into a video editing/digital media field in college next year. These trailers are good practice and not to mention enjoyable to make. If you have any suggestions on movies for my next trailer, hit me up with some ideas. My next one will be in February. I'll look around for some clips and ideas but gradually I'm trying to get better each and every time. Compared to my very first slide clip trailer, it's like wow. BTW if any of you guys want to make one in the future, use a program called videopad. You get the full version for two weeks and it's great. No watermarks, no catches, just time limited. It's inevitable that I'll eventually make one for the clone wars. I'll probably peice together all seasons into one, we'll see.

Pretty cool I liked the hard cuts making it feel like a real trailer although I think in some places I would've used like a fade transition.. Idk if that's possible but yeah some transitions made it seem like a power point But good job Squiggy. If you make more trailers maybe you could do them on other movies since I'm not really like a huge fan of LOTR but it's up to you of course

I just chose this movie to wrap up my Hobbit trailer series. I'm thinking now what I should do next. It's funny you should mention the quick transitions because I was wondering wether I should have used more fades as well. I did try it but it made it look choppy and interrupted the flow. All these trailers are being made with old technology. Once I get my Surface pro computer for graduation, I can do even more, *evil laugh* then walks away.

Good job, Squiggy. The parts with the quicker cuts were definitely the best ones. One of the tricks to editing trailers is to not stay on one scene for too long. Good luck with whatever one you're doing next!

This one's definitely improved from the last ones. It started off kinda shaky but got better by the end. Some of the clips of Thorin talking seemed kinda random and the transitions were kinda weird but yeah, you've come a long way.

GOT trailers would be cool. I was thinking about that but I haven't seen the series. If I decide to watch Game of Thrones, then it's definitely a possibility. I knew you guys were all fans of GOT, it was a possibility that I was thinking but I have to see the episodes first. Plus since this is a show and not a movie, should I do one for all seasons or a mixed trailer, those are the obstacles to investigate but not out of the picture.

However, I'm really edging to give you guys a GOT trailer eventually. I've seen bits and pieces and eventually I think I can come through for the show but I think I will do TCW next.

I have to say, your editing has improved substantially and the music fit rather well together with the clips.

Cool trailer squigg got some questions tho How do you have music and still keep audio from the clips as well? I guess it depends on the software.. I'm guessing you use something better than movie maker? Also where do you get the clips from in such good audio/visual quality? Idk if you answered any of these before

I'm guessing you use something better than movie maker? Also where do you get the clips from in such good audio/visual quality? Idk if you answered any of these before The clips you have to search for in terms of quality. Mostly, but not always on YouTube. They have online universal downloaders you can use for just about any site. I use a online downloader that tells me the quality of the clip I'm about to download so I know the output quality before the final product. I make sure all the clips I find and use are of the same HD quality: 1080 pixels, so in the end my video frame will match throughout the trailer. I wanted to use some other clips for this but some were 480 pixels and so on so I had to use the good ones. I use a free trial software called Videopad by NCH software; It gives you full functionality for two weeks and much better quality than movie maker for sure. Pinda uses Camtasia Studio which is another good one as well. But the sound effects and options are great for videopad, which was used to split the audio from Barris' speech in the beginning and match it with the music.

Tip: Separate the audio and video and do not just show people talking, but use their audio under different videos... not sure if that makes any sense. But it improved my videos a lot back in the day when I started doing that (in my opinion).

I have always done a cinematic style trailer where I let the music take the flow. I tried something different with this trailer and tried to initiate more talking in more of a story telling kind of way. I saw some of your videos on your YouTube page by the way, they were pretty neat.
