That i can understand. When it snows here we also get alot of ice. For trains that is very dangerous. But people always complain about them without thinking that over. I don't think trains have problems with 10 centimeters of snow and they also adapted their schedule when it was hot... they just do it whenever the weather changes. And they always have those "weather alarms" which always turn out to be exaggerated. The rails expand when it's really hot wich is, just like the afore mentioned ice, very dangerous. Something people overlook just to complain.

Ahh Yes we have Kindergarten as well so I'm used to that. The we have Primary School Grades 1-3 (ages 6-9) then Middle school grades 4-6 (Ages 9-12) then Junior High grades 7-9 (Ages 12-15) then High school where you graduate Grades 10-12 (Ages 15-18) after that you go to college or university where you study for your career. College I guess would be similar to your animal course . And you're not split up into levels at your schools, are you? No we have different schools for each pretty much. Grades 1-6 sometimes 1-8 like I had where in there own school. Then you go to a new school for 9-12 and then a new school or even a new city for college and University,

To be honest hearing you guys talk about Snow and cold is kinda laughable from where I live no offence I just see worse temperatures, We know. People tend to make a big deal out of nothing in our country. Atleast that's how i see our country. It annoys me deeply.

First we have Kindergarten until the age of 4 (i believe that was it) Then we go to Group 1 all the way to 8. From there on we go to a new school. I believe that is what Pinda means with Secondary. We call "Middelbaar Onderwijs" (We call it colleges as well btw) You say there for 4 years and then go a higher school (the one i am on now) and you stay there for you particular education until it's over. The years vary per educations. I have 3 years of Animal Health Care education and i will start my second year in 2 days. I'm pretty sure i saw a TV special about it once. But then again the heat can affect the train driver so maybe that's why they go slower so they can pay better attention.

Well I don't think so, I believe rails were specifically made to not expand in our climate. But maybe I'm wrong about that... Anyway let's get back on the topic.

I believe they have another way of selecting subjects, and they also have other subjects. And apparantly they have no "levels" like VWO, HAVO or VMBO.

Like we have VMBO (wich i do) followed by Havo followed by VWO (wich Pinda does) VMBO is seperated into: - Basic (the lowest) - Kader ( i do that one, yeah i'm pretty low) - Mixed (my ex and most of friends did this one) Havo i really don't know anything of only that it is much harder. VWO is for the smartest and brighest. Most people call them nerds but those are people with black and white prejuidices. Almost all my friends attend this one or higher.

Here there are 4 mandatory subjects Science, Math, English (Dutch for you I guess) and Social Studies. Once you get to grade 10 you can choose what level of course you want you need certain grades from the previous years to get in the higher ones. So Advanced placement ( The highest for a course and its fast paced I don't like it but you need 70 or above in the subject to get in I had that but didnt want this.) 10-1 (For basic teaching this is the highest you need 65 percent or above I took this one for all subjects) 10-2 ( Mid teaching or for people just passing classes this is 50 or above) 10-3 (Low teaching this is for the slackers or just really stupid it's 40 percent or above I think and honestly it's not hard to pass you don't need to study to pass) That's how all courses are separated I'm going into grade 10 and I'm 15 so I took English 10-1 Social 10-1 Math 10C (Equivlent to -1 but a letter) Science 10-1 I could be in the highest stuff but nah too fast paced. In grade 11 it goes up to 20-x (1,2,3 or advanced) and in grade 12 it's 30-x. You need some every 30- something to pass and graduate. Weather that be 30-1 or 30-3 you still need it too pass lets just saying the people taking the 40 or below course will not get a good job or future. I can get in anything if I work hard with the classes I got and stay with it. Basically our system separates the Slackers from the people that want a education.
