Alright now you lost me... Here there are 4 mandatory subjects Science, Math, English (Dutch for you I guess) and Social Studies. Once you get to grade 10 you can choose what level of course you want you need certain grades from the previous years to get in the higher ones. So Advanced placement ( The highest for a course and its fast paced I don't like it but you need 70 or above in the subject to get in I had that but didnt want this.) 10-1 (For basic teaching this is the highest you need 65 percent or above I took this one for all subjects) 10-2 ( Mid teaching or for people just passing classes this is 50 or above) 10-3 (Low teaching this is for the slackers or just really stupid it's 40 percent or above I think and honestly it's not hard to pass you don't need to study to pass) That's how all courses are separated I'm going into grade 10 and I'm 15 so I took English 10-1 Social 10-1 Math 10C (Equivlent to -1 but a letter) Science 10-1 I could be in the highest stuff but nah too fast paced. In grade 11 it goes up to 20-x (1,2,3 or advanced) and in grade 12 it's 30-x. You need some every 30- something to pass and graduate. Weather that be 30-1 or 30-3 you still need it too pass lets just saying the people taking the 40 or below course will not get a good job or future. I can get in anything if I work hard with the classes I got and stay with it. Basically our system separates the Slackers from the people that want a education. I really, really, REALLY appreciate your long explenation but i'm afraid i only got 1/4 of it I'm really lost by now but then again i don't think we will ever truely understand eachother's school workings. We've grown up with it let's say Yeah it's hard to keep up with everything the education systems are complicated but I think most North America people would understand what I said

I hope what I said makes sense to you guys. I'm finding it hard to keep up with your system as well.... Well I think I understand how your "levels" work. So you get what I said in my long post? It's basically alot of freedom you choose what you want and if you slack well sucks to be you. You can't complete the course and you are screwed for the rest of high school basically.

I do MBO Kader. Wich is just a higher form of VMBO Kader wich is the second lowest education above Basic. I didn't know MBO was divided into levels too... But it doesn't really mean what education you have, as long as you think you'll enjoy the job it will get you. I believe it was divided into levels. I could be mistaken because i haven't given much attention naturally. It's gonna be very difficult to find a jobin Animal Care. Jobs are scarce.

I like our system it separates the people that really want to learn away from well "those kids"..... Sounds a bit harsh. Here you just go to a "level" the suits you best. It doesn't necessarily mean that people that go to a lower level don't want to learn or don't try, some just aren't as good at it or don't even want to go to higher levels because they want to get a job that doesn't require that. I manage to do the highest level here, but I don't want to learn, I'm just lucky for having a really good memory.

I want to study history but since that's a very popular study jobs will be very hard to find for me too. That's why I consider studying English now, because they need people that studied English a lot right now.

So does your school start Tuesday Pinda? And do you guys got like options (Foods class, Mechanics, etc?) I had food class and mechanics but that was part of W.P.S classes at our school (they are my school only) It was one big thing that included 6 different classes that had to do with our school. We have a so called "Green" school. The classes were: - Animal care - Flower shop - Plants (learning how to plant plants and the names and such) - Green (learning how to build a garden) - Mechanics - Cooking. You had 2 of these classes every week and at the end of the year you had to choose 2 you wanted to follow for the next and final year for college (Year 4) I choose: - Animal care and - Flower shop because they were the only ones i was good at. I met alot of friends there aswell including. Some of wich are in my class on the other school now. And one i never wish to see again.

I once had something turned in the last week of school and the assingment was from the beginning of it. I had forgot it accidently but the teacher still marked it with a good grade. I got a 7.5 Yeah we work with 1 to 10.
