Filoni on Rebels and bonus content: “There are several episodes of Clone Wars the fans have yet to see. I’ve finalized the remaining episodes and I think they will really please the diehard Clone Wars fans, especially the story arc with Master Yoda — that one is critical to the bigger picture. Star Wars Rebels will be its own series with its own characters. That’s not to say characters from other Star Wars media couldn’t make an appearance in the series, but Rebels will be distinctive for its own new characters and relationships." So not much focus on existing SW characters... Excellent I like that so if they do screw anything noticing important will happen...

IMO that's a good thing but yeah.. Why? It would be like an entirely new series unrelated to Star Wars. I think it would be a bit forced to put them in there.. I mean if it's 14 years later, a lot of stuff has happened... Just continuing stories wouldn't make sense because there are huge gaps in them. And everything about the characters will be different. Voice actors, character models, everything. And as I said before, if the characters don't act like what people want or expect, they will hate the show even more. (They shouldn't be hating it right now either but the "ruination" of characters would be "the last straw" or something..)

Sam Witwer did a great job on Maul, Starkiller and the Son. He has an act for Villains and does a great job with them as well. I really hope he gets the part for him as well! But then again you don't want him sounding to alike to Maul either.

He's a voice actor he can change his voice tone to something different. Like he did with Galen Marek to the son then Maul. Plus that little high pitched creature he voiced as the son.

I wonder how these Vader specials will turn put. And I think this might mean there won't be much Vader in Rebels if they're doing these... A Phineas and Ferb SW special.... Please.... No.....

Vader will probably appear at least once in Rebels. I can't see a series set in that era without Vader appearing at least once. And don't forget, the inquisitor was send by Vader, he might at least talk to him in hologram.

That's why they may be doing these Vader specials. To give fans some more Vader.

We all know he is not "The Son" He is that one species Obi-wan encounters when landing on Utapau in ROTS. Problem solved.

His face color, the location of those red lines on his face and his outfit look pretty much the same. The only difference is that the inquisitor got those small black lines over his face and his head is longer.

Kinda funny because when we first saw The Son we thought he was one of those species from Utapua. And now they get one of those species (Don't know the name) and everyone compares him with The Son.

CW led to ROTS so was supposed to carry that tone most of the time. This plays before (or during? Sorry my timeline knowledge is a bit stale) ANH so it's natural they try to carry that light tone of awe, wonder and adventure.

I mean, I'm sure we all would've definately preferred the show to be just as dark as TCW. But if Filoni says its going to be like ANH, it may not be as serious, but the show should still be fairly good. I mean, ANH was a great movie even though it wasn't too dark. So if Rebels is the same way, it could just be a lighter version of TCW but still good.
