2 hours left. The wait is killing me now. Have fun. You should leave a spoiler-free review here. If you do you should still use spoiler tags because some don't even want to see spoiler-free reviews.

I survived one day without getting spoiled by the way... day 2 may be harder though... and my sister got spoiled about a major plot point (she doesn't care that much) and she kind of hinted at what it involved (something I already suspected so not that bad, and it's still very vague).

Heading out to the theater now. It almost feels a bit surreal since I can still remember the day they announced Episode VII along with the Disney buyout. It's been a long 3 years, but it's nice to finally be able to see the movie.

I will be doing the same thing... in like 40 hours Hang in there, Pinda! Your quest to avoid spoilers is almost complete! Almost... but I have a feeling I will fail my quest during my lecture tomorrow... or during in the train in rush hour (no where to hide from people). But I will get home at 2:30 PM and then I will be safe until the movie starts... unless I get spoiled while I'm riding my bicycle to the cinema... that would be infuriating... Anyway, have fun!

Alright i'll leave my spoiler-free review right here. I haven't done a review in a long time so might not be the best.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens It's only been 2 or 3 hours since i've seen the movie the moment this review goes up. This might be one of the most hyped movies in cinema history. Does it deliver? In one simple word: Yes! The movie is fantastic! An instant classic that will thrill Star Wars Fans and regular movie-goers alike.
The story is large copy-paste of Episode IV (i will come back to this later) in the big picture but overall it's still a completely different movie. There are many subplots but they all tie in to eachother like a good story should and builds up to an excellent, heartpounding (and breaking) climax. Everything builds on everything, like a good movie should. Let's talk about our new characters. Finn and Rey are fantastic. To be honest they are already some of the best characters in the whole franchise. Their chesmistry together is outstanding and their playfulness really gives you a big smile on your face. These are people who come from hard pasts and get caught in an epic adventure while both have never had some that cares for them. This makes the bound Finn and Rey create believe and a blast to watch. You really feel for this characters (more then i ever did for a Star Wars character if i'm burtally honest) The performances made these characters. The actors gave it their all. There was an incredible weight on their shoulders but they've pulled it off. They hit every emotional note when they need to and are just brilliant in their roles. Poe Dameron has less screen time but he was very likeable. I'm sure we'll see more of him in the upcoming Episodes but here he made a strong first impression. Then there is Kylo Ren. This character is fantastic. A man on the path of becoming a full Sith and it really shows in some scenes. He's menacing yet human. I won't say more about this character because he has some spoilers attached to him. General Hux had more screentime then i expected and i enjoyed his scenes. He was basically the Tarkin of the movie but younger. Captain Phasma is going to disappoint people big time. She literally didn't do anything. Atleast we heard Gwendoline Christie's lovely voice. And yes, BB-8 is super cute, funny and even awesome at times. I now consider
The old cast returns. Most of the focus lies on Han Solo and Chewbacca. They come up later in the movie but i still count them as main characters because when they do show up they never leave until the finale. The Falcon is at its best in this movie. Some of the angles the camera takes are unique and breathtaking. And not just for the Falcon. The entire cinematography is great! Back to characters. Harrison Ford is excellent as Han Solo again. I love that you feel Solo has gotten older and wiser, yet at the same time he's still the same smuggler. He really stole the movie but not in a way that you forgot the other characters. Actually he didn't steal it. He fit right in. Chewbacca was Chewbacca again. What more can i say? We all love Chewie and we'll still love him here. Leia is also back and it ties in with Solo's subplot. I won't say why and how, but i'm sure a lot of people are going to love it. Luke is only in it for a few seconds. I won't say how and why but it is really well done. If i say more it's spoilers. And ofcourse who could forget the beloved C-3PO and R2-D2. They aren't in it much but just enough. C-3PO has a very funny return in particular. Actually that's also something i noticed. This is defenitely the Star Wars movie with the most humor and 99% of the time it lands.
There are also some more darker and tragic scene wich are really well done. There was this one scene with the First Order that started with no music. Before you knew it the music started and it was extremely tragic. The visuals together with this set-up and the musical score made this one of the most haunting scenes in the franchise. And it was one of the best.
We only visit new planet in this movie like Jakku. But there is one planet from the prequels wich reappears in an unexpected way. You'll see what i mean when you watch the film. Also the movie makes some references to the prequels movies as well wich made me very happy. I like the prequels and consider them canon so it felt nice that they still acknowledged them. I also really liked how the film obviously established some storylines for the future films but it didn't feel forced. It felt completely natural and it didn't distract from anything. It still holds up a stand-alone film even with those scenes in it. Actually the whole film felt completely natural.
I have some complaints though. But only a minor few. Like i said before is that the main plot of the film is a little bit too similar to Episode IV. It's not distracting but you definitely notice. It's basically Episode IV on steriods. My other complaint is Captain Phasma. She didn't do anything at all like i said earlier. She just disappears from the film completely at some point. Personally i think their setting something for future Episodes but it will certainly disappoint some people.
This movie is really hard to talk about without spoilers. Honestly, this movie is great. Not it's better then great. I might just even call it a masterpiece. The story is great. The characters are some of the best in recent years and the action, direction, writing, acting and John Williams's new score are all beyond excellent. It's hard to put all that i'm feeling right now into word. All the fan service is done very well and not in your face (except for 2 but it was still good) and the lightsaber duel was the most agressive one in the series but man was it epic! Especially the snowy forest was a great stage.
An emotional roller-coaster ride that will make you laugh, cry, cheer and everything else Star Wars ever did for you. The Force has truly awakened once again:
10/10 There might be a little bit of hype and nostaglia in there. But honestely my head is about to explode from all the things i can talk about.

Movie is currently tied for 21st best movie on IMBD by user reviews with a 8.6 however user reviews can also be deceiving since people can just vote 1 and not watch the movie.
ESB and ANH are above it as expected though of course.

I only looked at the score, you should put that in spoiler tags though. Some people like Levron on the last page asked for no comments on the actual movie.
Don't think the movie will make me cry though, Star Wars has never been that emotional

I was watching some interviews of the actors. Daisy is actually a really cool person (and cute :3) it's just her accent that's a little.. Much.. Idk like honestly I feel almost bad for saying she's annoying because of her voice... Same as Hayden
Boyega's really chill as well. He's not like hood or anything he's pretty eloquent or sophisticated I guess but at the same time humorous and fun

One of my new favorite films. It was amazing. My advice: go in with tempered expectations and just expect a fun movie with some solid emotional moments. Because the movie's exactly that. Even if you don't love it as much as most people, I honestly can't really see people not liking this movie unless they're trying to find flaws. Now, to the spoiler thread! There's a lot more I have to say there.

Just speculation for the people who haven't seen it yet like Pinda I guess
Does it seem kind of weird that it appears they’re introducing all the villains in the first movie? Phasma, Hux, Snoke, Kylo Ren… Like before in TPM/ ANH you had a important villain Maul/ Tarkin that both died, Gunray was just kind of useless tying things together and you had a main villain Vader/ Palpatine that stayed around the entire time.
It seems now we’re being introduced to everyone:
The Master: Snoke (Palpatine both trilogies) The Muscle (Also most prominent): Kylo Ren (Vader, Dooku) The Side Villain: Hux (Tarkin/ Grievous) The Muscle/ Support: Phasma (Boba/ Jango)
I assume one will die, Phasma seems like the odd one out… Possible Kylo but I doubt it

Good review, makes me even more excited to watch the movie I'm not sure how I feel about the movie "rhyming" again... but I guess I will see how bad that is... Also, for that prequel planet I will have to guess it's Mustafar, the shot of R2 (and possibly Luke) in the trailer always felt like it was on Mustafar to me. But either way, I'm glad to hear they acknowledge the prequels... now I wonder in what way (please be Plagueis). Also, it sounds like Phasma is really the new Boba since you said "She didn't do anything at all".
