A new japanese trailer has been released with a lot of new images and dialogue Interesting how Kylo Ren says "Our destiny" sounds like he is actually talking to/about someone that's still alive... I'm starting to think that Rey might be Kylo's sister and that's why she's hiding on Jakku. |

I'm starting to think that Rey might be Kylo's sister and that's why she's hiding on Jakku. Well, that's an extremely popular theory. They are both rumored to be Skywalkers (or Solos I guess) and I don't think Luke has children, so if the rumors are true they would have to be siblings. I guess Kylo will have his Darth Vader moment (revealing his identity) but it obviously won't be as shocking as Vader's reveal originally was. |

Loved some of the new shots in that trailer. Especially the one with the Tie Fighters in the sunset (or sunrise?). However, and the film could dispel this, I can't help but notice Daisy Ridley's acting lines are sounding really bad. I'm now praying Abrams and the casting guys weren't drunk in celebration making TFA when they chose her, because I'd hate to go through another Hayden Christiansen debacle again. Maybe it's still too early to tell though... hopefully?

The dialogue in the trailer doesn't really work well with some of the images IMO, nothing wrong with the movie but the way the trailer was put together sucks

So yeah Kylo might be saying "our destiny" and referring to Vader though, the destiny might be to destroy the Jedi and Luke failed for not joining him. Kylo could be a Skywalker which would explain why Luke wouldn't go kick his ass if they're related.

This picture is popping-up all over the internet.  Does anyone know if it's legit or a fanmade thing, or a picture for something other than the movie? It looks like a resurrected Sidious or Plagueis (Plagueis is often portrayed with the same mask) to me. I really want that to be real. One thing this film could do to please me would be for that to be real, but sadly I've got the bad feeling it's fanmade. |

Also, I originally thought that Rey would be a Solo. However, after watching that trailer, I think I've officially changed my mind. I think she's a Skywalker. I still think Kylo's Han and Leia's son though. That shot of Han in the TV spot (love his jacket, BTW) looks like he sees Kylo coming towards them.

Also, we know that when Finn and Kylo Ren duel there's going to be fallen trees everywhere. The newest TV Spot showed the Falcon crashing through trees on Starkiller Base. So I think that happens first (the good guys infiltrate Starkiller Base) and then they head back there later to escape on the Falcon but are confronted by Kylo.

Seems like they are implying reincarnation... although I don't see how that would work in this context. I still think Rey is likely to be a Solo. I highly doubt she is Luke's daughter... but what about Anakin? Maybe Anakin had another son/daughter after ROTS... or maybe she was born in a similar way as Anakin? Maybe Anakin had a hand in het creation (like some theories suggest Plagueis created Anakin). |

First Order is the new Empire. Resistance is the new Rebellion. Rey is the new Luke. Han is the new Obi-Wan. Kylo Ren is the new Darth Vader. General Hux is the new Tarkin. BB-8 the new R2. Jakku the new Tatooine. It's extremely similar, but I'm hopeful that it'll still be unique. |
