So, uh, apparently there's a lot of guys on Twitter who want to boycott the film because of its multicultural cast, thus committing "White genocide"... I know racists are complete nuts, but this is just so senseless that it's almost funny. Well I do think they shoved in a lot of non-white people just for the sake of doing so and not so much for the benefit of the movie but idk it doesn't really matter as long as it's decent. A lot = One? |

Exactly, I'm sure we'll see plenty of Luke in VIII and IX. Han's almost certainly going to die in this so it makes sense that they'd hype him up more than the other returning characters. Daisy Ridley hasn't been signed on for episode 8 yet so she could possibly die although unlikely. I hear they are finding a new female lead for episode 8 so it could support that she does die She was actually the first of the cast to be confirmed to be in all 3 new films. |

Damn that was actually a pretty cool trailer. I liked almost every aspect of it. Kylo holding Vaders mask saying "I'll finish what you started" was sort of weird though. Doesn't he know Vader ended up betraying the Emperor and that was like 30 years ago as well... The Stormtroopers look like trash still but Finn fights Kylo which looks interesting, I thought he wasn't supposed to have much training?? Also Luke wasn't in the trailer and Leia was in maybe one little part, Han was in it a pretty decent amount though. He's the main original guy for sure but will probably die  Also Finn is the main Jedi in this film, it's obvious now. Rey looks like she has an important role but I'm pretty sure both are the lead characters. The trailer was split between Rey, Finn, Kylo and Han. The space station thing wasn't shown though. |

But yup I'm pretty sure this will hold up TFA > TPM.
Can't wait for the movie now, not going to see it on releases day. Probably catch an afternoon showing during Christmas break when there would be less people due to some guys having to work and stuff

Perhaps by finishing what Vader started he means bringing balance to the force, which would mean he knew what happened 30 years ago... Well, Luke might be the guy seen with R2. I'm starting to think Luke won't really be in this movie. Maybe only near the end. And Han could die... if they are going to go with the same theme as the Original and Prequel trilogies, someone has to play the role of Qui-Gon and Obi-wan... and if Luke isn't really around I guess it will be Han. |

Nice trailer the beginning with "who are you?" was kind of annoying somehow though and kind of unoriginal you see that in a lot of trailers....
But the SW music was cool and looks like there will be some great action scenes

So here is my geuss for the story:
(A basic summary, not too many details)
Rey is on Jakku in hiding for Kylo Ren and the First Order (or looking for something, i'm not sure) Finn gets shot down and crash lands on Jakku. Here he finds Rey but they are attacked by the First Order and saved by Han Solo who takes them to the Rebellion on that forest planet.
Meanwhile Kylo Ren purges the village on Jakku where Finn and Rey were attacked. I think the guy he mindcontrolled, if that is what it was, in the trailer was Poe Dameron so assume he somehow finds him and mind controls him. Poe returns to the Rebels (still under mind control) and gives the location to Ren. Meanwhile Finn and Rey meet Leia and possibly Luke who teaches Finn a thing or two about the Force.
Then the Rebel base gets attacked by the First Order (Poe's mind control is broken) and the rebels suffer a defeat. Somehow they manage to discover the ice planet that is used as the First Order base and assault it before the First Order can use their new weapon (that Death Star thing on the poster) Here Finn duels Ren. The First Order is defeated, the plan is foiled and i assume Ren dies, warning Finn of a greater power above him that will come for revenge or something like that. Then it ends with a pretty shot. Probably a sunset.
So yeah not my most well written speculation but hey, it's something. I couldn't find a good spot for the Space Pirates though. I thought maybe Han takes them there first before going to the Rebels (or the Rebels and Pirates have an alliagence?) or maybe after the Rebel defeat with Finn and Rey trying to recruit the pirates to free the Rebels and attack the ice planet.
I also think Kylo Ren doesn't know about Vader's betrayel against the Emperor and thus uses him as a perfect image for the First Order and perhaps the new Sith.

Actually I think Luke went into exile or something awhile ago and they're searching for him. Would make sense why nobody knows about the Jedi. Han is the mentor guy.
Han is like 99% certain to die, he wanted to die at the end of ROTJ and he doesn't want to do more Star Wars

I liked the trailer, I don't have many complaints. I like Kylo Ren but confused about what he means by finished what he started, unless he's referring to the Emperor, and the Vader mask was just for the trailer. I'm just not a big fan of Finn, but I like what I've seen so far. I just want some great action and duels. And I really hope the story is good.

I just checked the Pathé site for my city and only like 10 people ordered tickets so far  I might actually try to order a ticket for one of the first days, they only have the 3D version on the day of release though, and I don't like 3D... |

I saw that Pathe also has the 2D version. But like you said, not on day of release. The screening i ordered for is in 3D (I like 3D so i wanted to see it in that format) but not on the release day, i'm going one day after release. I'm sure you can find a day that has 2D screenings too. Maybe the second day too? |

Judging from the trailers it looks like Finn eventually realises what he is doing is wrong. In one trailer you see a Tie Fighter open fire at Stormtroopers. I think this is Finn during his escape. In the new trailer we see him get shot down in a Tie Fighter while flying near a destroyer. We don't see a space battle or anything that shot him. So it is probably the destroyer that shoots him, wich in turn brings the First Order to Rey's hideout.

Kylo Ren probably never knew that Vader was redeemed by Luke. The only people that know about that are probably Luke, Leia, and maybe Han. So it would make sense Kylo remembers Vader as a bad guy.
