I highly predict that more than 50% of the reviews will be positive just due to the nostalgia effect. I don't think I'll enjoy this film, not cause it looks bad, but just cause we don't need it. To me the film will only feel like a fanfiction, and that's not what I want to watch when I go to theaters. Soon enough Star Wars will be milked excessively just like Disney did with Marvel. I don't know CBK. The original post Episode 6 EU felt like some pretty bad fanfiction... This film does kinda have a similar feel, only difference being it's technically official, but I don't think it'll make as many cringeworthy, or straight up terrible choices as the EU did. But I definitely agree that Disney is taking every advantage possible to bleed it dry of profit, but that's just Disney in a nutshell Yeah it's not bad, but I just don't think it's logical for half of this stuff to be in it. If what Pinda said is true, with the dude being Plageius or Sidious then that's just ridiculous. I would love to have TOR characters but honestly it's not logical. And I don't think it's logical to have Han Solo, Chewie, Luke, Leia, Ackbar, C3PO, R2, and so forth to all be around to be some how involved in the plot. This trilogy is just a throwback trilogy to gain viewers, and rack in the bucks.

Yeah, if I'm honest they should've done this trilogy a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away ) and the end result might actually have been better. That way we wouldn't be playing catch up to over 30 years of unexplored, untold storytelling. And I completely agree that a TOR film should happen. My dad and brothers are also in agreement. Just a shame we'll only have the trailer to ease our yearning for one.

I mean he has to stay dead or episode 4/5/6 become meaningless. But Snoke being Plagueis would actually be interesting, if done right. And a TOR character could work too, but the problem is that they don't appear in any official canon sources other than SWTOR, which not a lot of movie-goers may know about. Making Snoke someone we don't know would be a waste of an interesting plot twist though. And it is fairly obvious that these movies are meant to be as much like the original movies as possible, just so all these prequel-hating "fans" that are blinded by nostalgia will go to see the movie.

Idk but it looks a lot more promising then the prequels, more effort seems to be involved

Also interesting, the working title for episode 7 was "The Ancient Fear". That implies that some ancient (evil) character is involved.

I was at Walmart yesterday and I came across a Kylo Ren statue for looks I guess. When we were there my brother told me it was Revan, now I told him no but it does look familiar because his mask. Who is right? I only ask because I have no history of Old Republic knowledge. I hope they keep his mask on at all times in the films as well, I think it would create a more mysterious vibe to him to not see his face; similar to Vader even though we know he was Anakin.

It was probably Kylo Ren since they've been heavily advertising him with The Force Awakens merchandise lately. His mask definitely seems to be inspired by Revan's. Since he's most likely Han and Leia's son, I'm pretty sure he'll get a scene with no mask eventually (if not in this film, then definitely in Episode XIII).

That would be neat if he was the child of the two for sure. I wonder if we shall ever see Luke get an apprentice some time or another, if not this film than the next. I guess it is possible, everyone says the Jedi are extinct in the films after Order 66 but new younglings are constantly being born with force sensibilities. Order 66 killed of the current Jedi order on ROTS but it wouldn't stop new force offsprings I don't think.

But the new trailer is apparently during the Monday night football game tomorrow (according to NR guys). I usually watch the Monday night games so I guess I'll see it;

Oh yeah and I saw some BB-8 gummy vitamins or some Potato Rules the other day like what the Potato is Awesome lol Phasma is just an attempt at some Boba like character anyways, even though she will never be as cool or popular. I don't like the Stormtroopers at the bottom either. The girl is holding some stupid like pole or something as well and it conflicts with the lightsabers. Overall was too much going on in the poster. But this confirms that Finn is probably the main Jedi of this trilogy. Apparently the girl may die in this anyways

Unless Luke is Kylo Ren If that happens, it would bring new meaning to suspension of disbelief, as in we spend the rest of the film shocked they actually threw that kind of curveball

What's with the Death Star Planet like thing as well... Looks weird That would be Starkiller I presume. Looks like it's built into a moon, or a planet even. Starkiller Base is just the control centre that's stationed elsewhere. Either way, it just shows JJ's ripping off stuff from ANH and stopping any chances of this film being particularly original.

Well it would certainly cheapen the costs, I dare say, since you wouldn't have to build quite as much. You could even make it move if you put large enough engines inside.

That poster is outstanding! Finally we see Leia. But where is Luke? Too bad it just says Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It should've been Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Yeah I don't like that Death Star looking thing... they already blew up two death stars in the original trilogy... having a third kind of Death Star would just be extremely unoriginal. I bet they will introduce it with the dialogue: "That's no moon that's a- Oh... wait... it's actually a moon..."

If they included "Episode VII" in the title Disney would have to acknowledge the prequels... and we all know they don't like acknowledging the prequels.
