This confirms that a lot of the rumored plot points and a lot of the concept art was actually true (the guy with the sword lightsaber, John Boyega's character being a rogue stormtrooper, the new stormtrooper design). Which means a lot of this movie has been leaking out for the past several months.  I still think that lightsaber looks kind of dumb, but it'll probably grow on me. Again, this teaser is going to take a while to sink in for me, but I'm liking things so far.  |

That saber is even more ridiculous than the Inquisitor's it made me laugh Yeah, it's not really practical (unlike the double-bladed saber, which actually made sense), but I guess it's Star Wars so practical doesn't really matter. It felt like they tried too hard to find an original lightsaber design to reveal in this trailer (just like they revealed Maul's saber in Phantom Menace's trailer). |

I just watched the trailer again (well, for the third time ), and it's even better now. That Falcon shot, while I was totally expecting one like that in this trailer, really got me pumped. |

I really hope they don't do that or resurrect Darth Vader or something (which would be even worse). There's been some pretty ridiculous rumors regarding the villains for this movie, and since it looks like quite a few rumors so far have been true, I'm getting worried about some things for this movie. |

If they were just metal to make it look more like a sword that won't kill you, then I'd be more impressed. Sometimes simplicity like that works better than trying to complicate it. |
