Anyone else here agree the early 2000s Disney films are criminally overlooked? Which ones came out then? Dinosaur, Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis (my personal favourite), Treasure Planet, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, those ones.

I think early Disney movies were probably pretty solid. I don't think I watched many though. Idk why just don't like the animated stuff all that much lol... But I feel like they weren't as cringey as some of the stuff today..

You're probably the first person I've ever heard say they're not too keen on animated Disney films lol

Also there’s Chicken Little tho. That's more mid 2000s though. Still, even though it's not loved, I still find it funny

Almost went with my friends last weekend but I was tired af. Definitely worth a watch. I have some mixed feelings for the overall movie, but Phoenix does a great job.

Okay I did see Joker and first thing's first, no I didn't see incels. Secondly it's one of the creepiest, most unsettling films I've seen. Weirdly though if there was one person I ended up feeling sorry for at the end it was Gary. That guy didn't deserve to go through all that crud If any of you guys see it, you'll know what I mean

El Camino anyone? It was definitely good but it also reminded me of how vital certain performances were to that show (Walt, Fring, Saul). Gets me hyped for another season of Better called Saul though.

Saw Midway today. It was much better then i had expected but it didn't blow me away. The war sequences are definitely worth a watch though. Also i liked how they showed the Japanese side of the war as well, and not just go 'murica all the way.

Saw Le Mans '66 (or Ford v Ferrari) in IMAX just now. In one word: "Phenomenal" And that's coming from someone who doesn't give two cents about cars and racing.

So Ford vs Ferrari was really good... really digestible for someone who has never had any interest in racing. Also the sounds those cars make when they're accelerating are so satisfying... you might have caught me going 90 on the on ramp driving home from the theater.

Frozen II was just okay. I was never a big fan of the original but seeing the more darker and mature tone in the trailer for this one made it look much more interesting than it actually is. I now get why they introduced Olaf only halfway through the original...

My brother called Olaf really hit and miss That said, I think he got WAY too much screentime for his own good. Still, I kinda preferred the songs to the first one, so there's that My problem with the original was how the overblown hype just made me sick of it despite not seeing it that many times.

Finally saw Bumblebee because Amazon Prime put it up. It was campy af lol. But not so much that it was cringey it was pretty fun for me. Still not the best I'm not sure if Transformers will ever be... But idk it felt more inline with what we saw from the OG 80s series. The music selection was cool and the Cybertron parts were so dope. I actually really want a sequel to get more of the cybertron story. However I didn't like how he turns into the old camaro from the 2007 movie at the end... I would've liked this to be in a different universe from the older movies but sadly it's a prequel

My Top 10 from 2019:
1. Le Mans '66 2. Joker 3. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 4. Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker 5. Ad Astra 6. Knives Out 7. Klaus 8. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part 9. Toy Story 4 10. Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus
My all time favourite of last years would've been Chernobyl, but since that is a mini-series it doesn't count here.
Also bottom of the barrel would be (out of order) - Cats - The Lion King 2019 - Angel Has Fallen - Hellboy - Gemini Man - Dumbo

I might be late with this. But i urge everyone to see 1917. What a masterpiece. My favourite film of 2019 (even though i watched it in 2020) If only i hadn't made my list yet Also i recommend watching Weathering With You if Anime is your thing. It was a blast finally seeing a japanese anime film on the big screen. I hope this leads to more foreign releases coming this way.

Some movies i watched recently and the scores i would give them. No in-depth review incoming or anything.
1917 - 10/10 An absolute masterpiece and my favorite film of 2019 Parasite - 10/10 I should really watch more Korean movies. One of 2019's very best. Cats - 1/10 the bottom of the barrel for cinema. Curiosity killed the Cat for real, because a film has never broken me before. Weathering With You - 9/10 Japanse is the king of traditional animation Promare - 8.5/10 The ultimate hype film with the best visual style i have ever seen. Never before have a seen a film this colorful before. Dolittle - 4/10 Should have been animated. There is a good story in here somewhere, buried under layers of terribleness. The Gentlemen - 8/10 I never knew i needed British Gangster movies in my life.
