More mistakes: - Should've shown Vader in the finale - Should never have shown the Emperor in this show, maybe once. Or maybe a couple times if he is addressing the citizens of the Empire - Make Kallus a main character since he is the only likable one - Do not give Kanan a Potato is Awesomeing pony tail, make him charismatic and badass like Han or TCW Anakin - Make Hera sexier, not such a mom - Don't make Ezra space Aladdin. Actually don't even show Ezra. - Make Kanan the main character - Later on introduce a force sensitive kid that Kanan takes on as a padawan - Have Vader kill the padawan - In the last episodes of the show have Vader kill Kanan - Don't randomly introduce characters and then make them disappear for a long time - No force sensitive wolves that whole arc was pretty weak in my opinion - Don't introduce "time travel" in a Potato Rulesty kids cartoon So many more... Tbh I feel like I have some great ideas that incorporate what they did but would make the show 10x better... I wish I could've been a writer for this show lmao Agreed with your Ezra and time travel criticisms the most. The former was an annoyance and the latter is almost always sh't when it's just shoehorned in.

Finally watched the finale, and I have mixed feelings on it. I was mostly let down by the fact that they were able to pull a victory. Even though they technically aren't a part of the Rebel Alliance, I like the idea of Scarif being the first major blow to the Empire, not Lothal. Parts of the finale were also somewhat unbelievable with how easy things unfolded for the Spectres (I know it's an animated show with little time to tell stories, but still). It bothered me a lot that Sheev was unable to defeat Ezra, too. That scene was really good until Ezra showed him up. The Thrawn and Ezra ending was neat and not what I expected. It opens up some interesting possibilities in the future, but I would have preferred Ezra to die and Thrawn be the one to disappear until post-ROTJ.
Not sure how I feel about Ahsoka being alive after the Battle of Endor either. She seems largely irrelevant at that point, but I'll give Filoni the benefit of the doubt and hope she has something more substantive to offer (although her death by Vader would have been ideal). The fates of the other main characters are fine (minus that creepy child Hera has... who is the father?), but I just felt like it was a somewhat underwhelming finale.

Found something good to say about Rebels. Stephen Stanton’s Ben Kenobi is on point.

Going off Wookieepedia, it seems they never revealed anything that happened to Cody. Seems pretty strange TBH. You think they'd want to have him and Rex come face to face or something.

PindaWhat has better writing, GOT S8 or Rebels? I'm gonna be honest I think Rebels actually had better writing lmao Man I can't wait for Disney+ so I can rewatch this and remember how shitty it was. People love it so much for some reason but it just wasn't good. They would gloss over so many things. Never even said what happened to Wolffe and Gregor. I keep thinking season 1 was the best but I may realize it really wasn't either after seeing it again

PindaWhat has better writing, GOT S8 or Rebels? Well, for all its utter lameness, Rebels doesn't quite assassinate its characters like GoT did That said, throughout the whole thing, I really can't stand space Aladdin/discount Luke, so it evens out in the end

PindaWhat has better writing, GOT S8 or Rebels? I don't think there's anything that can be worse than the disappointment GOT delivered in its final 2 seasons. That show was brilliant for almost its entire run, making its rapid downfall even more devastating. Star Wars has meandered in terms of quality over the years, so seeing a dip like Rebels doesn't really ruin the franchise for me. But I also didn't despise Rebels like most of you either, so that makes this easier for me to answer. I think TLJ is more comparable to what we saw with GOT S8.

PindaWhat has better writing, GOT S8 or Rebels? At least Rebels was consistent. After the first episodes you knew what to expect, and it didn't disappoint in delivering more of the same. But despite all its writing flaws Game of Thrones season 8 is still more entertaining to watch. I mean, I wasn't bored while watching it, as was the case with Rebels.

Okay, I binged a ton or Rebels in the last few days, up to the end of Season 3. I'll give my individual thoughts on each episode over on the subboard, but I just want to say that the show really won me over. I think in a lot of ways, it really is better than The Clone Wars, something which I'm surprised to hear myself say. Spending time with all of these characters each episode does wonders to give me a connection to them, and I find myself loving them more and more. Ezra, who initially I gave a lot of crap to, really does come into his own and becomes a much more interesting character. In fact, I would argue that, because we spend consistent time with him, his arc is pulled off better than Ahsoka's, who in hindsight we didn't really see develop, it just happened off-screen. This show is really amazing and I can't wait to finish it.
