I think Raddus will be in Rebels season 4, see the Mon Cala come in. Stephen Stanton voices him and he voices Kenobi and Tarkin on Rebels, so it would be easy to get him back

I just watched Rouge One again for the first time since I went back in December. Still very good, my second watch of TFA had me leaving with less of an opinion of the movie though my second watch of TFA was literally 2 weeks after the first... when I watched it for a 3rd time the main flaw aka Rey was pretty evident...
Rouge One has a great plot and builds pretty likeable characters over the course of the movie... Cassian, Krennic, Jyn and K2 are all very enjoyable. Still really like Jyn because compared to Rey she is not Mary Sue at all however she is more capable than Leia or Padme IMO.
Even Chirrut, Bodhi and Baze grew on me more after this watch and they have their place in the film as good supporting characters. Tarkin and Vader are great of course... though I kinda wish the Emperor had a scene with Vader.
Still one thing I liked when I first watched the film and like even more now is the variety in locations, I really liked that trading post where Cassian is introduced, reminded me of some SWTOR location. Vaders castle on Mustafar and the short Coruscant cameo is cool as well on top of the main locations.

"Are we all blind, deploy the garrison" is obviously the movies best line. RIP Krennic

I think it was Potato who originally said this but that giant alien that Saw uses to probe Bodhi is just complelty useless... has no real impact and doesn't affect his mind like it was supposed too

Now there are a few (little) things that didn't make sense... like why was Leia's ship in the battle? Bail was supposed to send her on the mission to retrieve Obi-Wan. She should have left to do that instead of being anywhere near the battle... Also R2 and 3PO where still on Yavin after Bail left on his corvette... they should have also went with him

Depending on how close Rebels season 4 ends to the start of the movie, I had a thought that its possible Vader is away in seclusion at his castle due to suffering some kind of injuries while fighting the Rebels, likely the Jedi near the end of the season. Vader would still kill the Jedi though since they kinda have to die

But I liked Saw's acting with lines like "lies deception Bor Gullet" Now there are a few (little) things that didn't make sense... like why was Leia's ship in the battle? Bail was supposed to send her on the mission to retrieve Obi-Wan. She should have left to do that instead of being anywhere near the battle... But I'm glad they confirmed that Bail dies when Alderaan is destroyed I was wondering about that... But I think Vader's tries to sit in the tank whenever he has time so he can heal. I think if he stayed in there for a long time there'd actually be some significant healing... so to avoid that the Emperor probably tries to keep him busy most of the time

I didn't know the flashback to the apartment was Coruscant that's pretty cool. Some people say they were in the same complex as Padme.
Also apparently one alternate ending was Cassian being a double agent who eventually sides with the rebels and at the end they're all on a ship with Vader chasing them so Cassian puts them in the airlock and throws a "carbon freeze bomb" that freezes them all so there's no sign of life and then they are just floating in space.... that would've been pretty bad....

Sounds like a George Lucas version to me...

But it would be a decent tie in, and it would be cool to see Vaders castle in the show, like maybe after the fight he goes there, perhaps even cameo Sidious just once for that as well... I think ANH confirmed Bail dies on Alderaan but the Droids should have left with him, that was just weird.

And I guess Galens involvement was a good enough explanation as to why the Death Star took so long, but also the stuff in Rebels about supplies and what not

Yeah, Bor Gullet was stupid. But the memes and quotes that have spawned from him and Saw make him worth it.

Saw’s death is fucking dumb

Movie was fine. The last third was really good but I don’t know, the movie just didn’t seem structured that well. Most of the characters had what you’d call “tragic ends” but we really didn’t get a chance to get attached to them. Like when the guy called Jyn “little sister” I kinda cringed.
Was disappointed with how little Saw was in he movie. After seeing him in TCW and Rebels it was just kinda underwhelming how unimportant he was. His death was an unholy combination of how Cersei and the Blackfish died.
There was some really cool action here. Some of the best in Star Wars. And it does make the plans feel a lot more important and less like a McGuffin in A New Hope.
I just wish the characters didn’t feel so one note. The first two thirds of the movie just didn’t do a whole lot for me and it’s hard for me to care after that.

Like it was good enough. But if this truly is Disney’s best effort in Star Wars, then that’s quite pathetic.

Like it was good enough. But if this truly is Disney’s best effort in Star Wars, then that’s quite pathetic. I think of a lot of fans like us sort of give it a free pass all because it's final act is just so electric. Might explain why so many online keep thinking this is some sort of masterpiece (which it isn't really). Everything that happens before then just feels a bit meh and dull. It's why I'm also worried that this may be Disney's best attempt at a Star Wars film. I'd like to be proven wrong. Maybe Taika's film will do the series some good, but after the sequel trilogy, Rebels and some of the Mandalorian's shortcomings, it's hard to see how they'll just make a magic 180 in quality.

I actually watched all of Rebels. But it was honestly even more mediocre than I thought it would be. I liked the ending but was shock at how inconsequential that final season ended up being. And The Mandalorian... Its held up as art even by the most fervent of Disney skeptics. But it’s probably the dullest TV show I’ve ever watched.

The biggest problem I guess is that Disney hasn’t created a single character that I’ve cared about.
And they’ve taken many that I already cared about (Ahsoka, Luke, Rex, even Hondo) and made them bland, one-note shells of themselves.
I hope the Siege of Mandalore blows my socks but even then, we would have gotten that in 2016 if not for Disney. And I guess I’m depressed that that really feels like the last chance for me to get some Star Wars content that I love.
It just feels like Star Wars, like Game of Thrones and Doctor Who, has left me.

I watched it again the other day and yeah it's just kinda average and also a little boring maybe. You can't really connect to the characters that much because you don't really get to know them and then they're already dead. But I still do like it like they introduced a lot of cool planets and had other neat desings for things and I liked seeing all the Empire stuff. It definitely feels like Star Wars. As for your point about Saw, yeah in my recent watch I felt a bit disappointed by how little he was in it. But I think that's because after Rebels and Fallen Order the character has become more interesting. When RO first came out no one really cared that much about Saw they just appreciated the TCW reference

Yeah definitely got over hyped about Saw after Rebels. Assumed he was a really important character in this so that’s why they wanted to fill in some gaps with him.
But truth be told Saw might be the worst character in the movie. Even the acting was off IMO.

Like it was good enough. But if this truly is Disney’s best effort in Star Wars, then that’s quite pathetic. Honestly, the only really enjoyable Disney Star Wars thing (not counting TCW season 7, not crediting Disney for that) to me was Solo, surprisingly. I mean it was not amazing and there was a lot of unecessary cheesy stuff in that movie. But I wasn't bored, or angry at the writers. It really connected to other Stat Wars stories and could have gotten some interesting spin-offs or sequels. Too bad it flopped though...
