We debated this a while ago. Although more options always makes it easier to rank every episode individually, we really don't need more than 5 categories. A Masterpiece section sounds good though, since I've felt this entire time that many episodes fall between "good" and "fantastic" but some get ranked a higher than they really should because of it. So Masterpiece would single out the ones that really are the best of the best.

I guess good, I really liked this arc and I think it actually might be my favourite premiere arc (if you don't count season 6 since that was different in terms of release). However this particular episode was a bit off... I wasn't too fond of the ending, tbh I don't think the good guys should have won this one. Should have been 50/50. The Jedi get the Holocron and the crystal back but Sidious ends up with the children (unknown fates maybe explored more later). I also found the conversation with Anakin and Palpatine just kind of random they talk about who might be behind the plot but it was never followed up on... The Jedi are really stupid sometimes and just don't seem to comprehend that there is a bigger plot then just Dooku. Grievous and a bunch of useless droids despite numerous sources suggesting so.

However that was always the biggest flaw I found with this show is that the good guys almost always won... The only real bad guy to win was Sidious but those where always behind the scenes plots like political or banking stuff. But Sidious winning is obvious anyways from episode 3... I would have liked Dooku, Grievous and the rest of the separatist leaders to win more battles and kill more Jedi and stuff. TBH what battles did they actually end up winning?? They only partially won battles then ended up losing at the end of the arc every time.
They won on Dathomir but that is sort of irrelevant in the grand scale of things... They lost every time they faced the Republic, you would think the war would be over in three months rather then 3 years with this kind of performance.

This one was just meh... Cato Nemodia was cool but I hate political episodes and Clovis is just an uninteresting character... Also I'm not even a fan of the Anakin/ Padme relationship since it really has no foundation to it, it's like the most unrealistic love story ever. It only has one point and that is the brith of the twins.
The separatist leaders where cool as well. This was sort of the start of a five part arc

And Anakin wasn't seduced by the dark side of the force like Obi-Wan said... He was tricked into thinking he could save Padme through some BS method, when it's actually quite possible he may have been the one to kill her lol

This is the kind of episode the show needed more of you know Clone Wars . First Fantastic I'll give, I loved this battle, could do without Ahsoka being in it though tbh.
Too bad we really didn't see more episodes like this until Umbara and after that nothing on this scale... I'd gladly sacrifice having character side adventures for more battle episodes.

TCW never got the best reviews... Understanding in many cases since lots of the episodes where not that great, show wasn't very consistent. But LAPR only being a 5 is sort of weird. However the overall average of 7.8 or whatever it is seems pretty justified to me. I'd round it up to an 8 but still. Someone said Massrcre only got a 5 as well (think it was CBK) but I can understand that one, that episode got a lot of hate for the concepts in it. Mainly Voodoo and stuff and technically this is still a kids show and everything on a kids channel... |

IMDb is usually pretty accurate with their ratings, but for TCW (individual episodes), they're pretty off on a lot of them.
