I don't know. I kinda feel like Hayden deserves another chance and prove it was all just poor direction, or lack thereof. Lanter wouldn't be a bad fit even in real life, but personally I'd be happy to risk it with the galaxy's biggest sand hater. Well I would not mind Hayden either... It would make more sense if they are going to show prequel era flashbacks in the movie. But honestly, I think Matt Lanter would have done a much better job as Anakin in the prequels. Probably not... not with that dialogue, in fact Hayden does fairly well with emotion and expressions even with the bad dialogue

I really want Hayden back somewhere. I bet with good lines he could do a better job Nah, make Matt Lanter the new Anakin actor. Well he would be best but I don't think they'd ever ask him to do it. It's like how the DC tv show actors aren't in the DC movies. If they show Anakin it will probably be Hayden or someone new

Can't judge too much yet until the full trailer, but it looks like a darker film stylistically. That'll be fitting, considering it will have a large focus on the Empire, which is very cool. I think if the full trailer can assure us the acting is strong and there's an interesting story, fans will be more accepting of this movie.

Really like some of the designs, such as the droid, the train, and whatever that Sauron thing was during that fight scene (although it once again suffers from the "sea of grey" set styling that Disney's been all too fond of), but I feel like it's all being wasted on a film that hardly anyone's been dying for. Not to mention the cringe that'll be felt from two guys doing (what I can only assume to be) their best Billy Dee Williams and Harrison Ford impressions, despite the fact that they barely resemble, or sound like them.

My new spin-off policy:
Is Sheev in it? Is Obi-wan in it? Is any major TCW character in it?
Any "yes" might get me to watch it in cinema. So far it looks like three no's, so I am not watching this.

So I was really hoping for Boba Fett but I think Han is too small time at the moment (in this film) to be on Boba Fetts radar since he’s already very established at this point in time.
But it looks like they are going to be doing some heist or something so the empire could hire a bounty hunter but I’m thinking a lesser one like Dengar is more likely, and the EU Dengar has a past with Han. But Boba Fett would bring in more viewers.
Either way we should get the trailer with the most reveals on May 4th probably

I think it'll be great. Sure it might seem unnecessary but it also tells another story that will expand the universe. I think that's what the anthology movies are about
Han doesn't really seem like Han (I don't think anyone besides Harrison will seem like him) but the character still seems cool. Wonder what Lando will be like

I heard there might be some CGI stuff going on to make him look a bit more like Harrison though. But I see connections with OT Han in the trailer, that last line especially

Honestly, the trailer looked better than I expected. But really that guy doesn’t seem like Han Solo to me. Idk, Harrison Ford’s hard to replicate.

Guess it really shows how low TLJ dropped the bar to be shown up by a Solo movie with a plot that mixes Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxcy I mean, I'm still not a fan of the grungy lighting and seas of grey, but I have to admit it's beautifully designed in some spots. It's not convincing enough to get to pay for a ticket, but it might have convinced me it won't be in the bottom of the Star Wars movie pile. On a sidenote though, I'm not if it's Kennedy's decision, but it's almost getting weird with how every Disney Star Wars film features a white, brown haired, British female lead

Plus we get a lot of "nature" planets, so I'll like seeing some cities

That shot with the Star Destroyer in the clouds (probably the Kessel Run) reminds me a lot of some scenes from Rebels, which is really cool. Also, I'm guessing the Kessel Run scene will occur in the first third of the movie. I doubt this film would want to keep Chewbacca out of the action for long, considering that the rest of the characters are either new or recast.

The only way I could see it working out is if Han interferes with something Boba was already doing. But even that has the potential to feel forced. Honestly though, having Dengar, Bossk, or even some new bounty hunters can still be really exciting and add to the heist/ criminal vibe this movie appears to be aiming for. Seeing Cad Bane would be epic, but there's basically no chance for that to happen

But I doubt it will happen. Even if Disney wanted to... Bane might have died in the unfinished Bounty Hunter arc. So he might not even be around anymore. And Disney will just waste his character if he is in it... though I would still want to see it.

Have to admit, I think this features some of the best designs of the Disney era, but lord do I wish this wasn't a Han freaking Solo film. Throwing Lando (who's just as much of a cringe by the way) in there just adds to the fire. Still not planning on seeing this. It's just too desperate in being GOTG all over again.
