The people they say are in the running to play Han are terrible... Except I guess Miles Teller and Jack Reynor. They're funny and I can sort of see them playing Han especially Miles.
But idk yeah Harrison really can't be replaced. Whoever they pick will have to grow on most people. But honestly I actually hope it'll be Miles I think he'd be great

Out of the 8 names they've narrowed it down to, I only recognized Miles Teller.  I doubt he'll get it since he's a fairly big name. They'll most likely pick someone a little more unknown (and in this case I think they should). |

Haven't seen him in anything so I can't judge the choice. I don't think looks are too important as long as he can play a convincing young Han well enough. |

They're stuck in the OT era. I want something fresh or new that we haven't at least witnessed on the big screens. I'm not excited for 6 years of Han Solo. I wish they would adapt Darth Plageuis into a movie, or incorporate some kind of Old Republic story. I'm so tired of stormtroopers, Han Solo, Luke, and the OT.

Agree with you 100% One of the reasons TCW was good was because it felt like its own thing and not just something to pander to OT fans. I never played/cared about TOR, but why not do that? |

If it's good then I'll be okay with it. There's a lot to cover from Han's background in one movie (his friendship with Lando, meeting Chewie, getting the Falcon, making the Kessel Run) so I guess it's better that they don't cram it all into one film. Plus, they made a big deal out of casting Alden Eirenriech, so it makes sense that they'd want to get the most out of him as possible. But yeah, I'd rather see them branch out with the standalone films...
Maybe the Solo trilogy could be the main films after the Sequel Trilogy is finished? That way we could still get new standalone films. I agree about The Old Republic. Since the game's now non-canon, they need to start giving us some canon info about that era.

Yeah Han movies could be good tbh, like side adventures before his time in the Rebellion... A trilogy based around scoundrels. Plus there's potential for lots of established characters like Chewbacca, Jabba, Lando, Boba Fett. Well I think SWTOR at least is in sort of a interesting spot, they said everything before Disney would be not canon however SWTOR has been releasing lots of content post Disney take over and the people who work on the game haven't given a definitive answer however it seems like SWTOR at least may be canon again eventually. EA is also still on board with the game 100%. |

I hope Star Wars doesn't turn into Marvel... Like all superhero movies are exactly the same and they're actually kind of boring to watch... I really can't rewatch any marvel movie... But I feel like that wouldn't happen because Star Wars is a different thing...
Also I don't know about a TOR movie(s)... That time just doesn't seem like Star Wars.. Maybe because there's really nothing/no one from the main saga in it... Idk maybe a Jedi and Sith war thing could be cool... I'd rather see movies taking place a few years before TPM or a few years after

Emilia Clarke got cast for this too...
Not sure how I feel about that tbh I think she isn't that good of an actress, she's kinda boring unless she's taking off her shirt, don't think that's gonna happen in this film...
