Maybe Stannis could be King and Renly could be Hand of the King. Renly > Deanerys > Rob Stark > Stannis >>>>>> Joffrey Stannis > Daenerys (until she gets more experienced) > Robb Stark > Renly > Joffrey

I think they could have found some way to work it out between all of Joffrey's enemies. Renly was obviously the best pick for King as he had actually spent all that time on the council and would probably know more about running the kingdoms than anyone else. I'd put him as King and then Stannis at the hand. Or maybe reverse the two. And Robb could be King of the North. Then Balon could get the Iron Islands. Like come on, they could have united and destroyed the Lannisters! I wouldn't say Renly is the best choice. I thought that when I watched the show too, and I hated Stannis for killing him, but in reality, Renly's only got a chance for the throne because he has House Tyrell and the 100,00+ men of the Reach backing him. He says he's the best-suited, and yes, he has a kind heart and inspires love from his men... but he's not the best-suited. He's young, less experienced than Stannis and has no proper claim. Stannis is much better suited as he also served on the council as long as Renly (he fled when Jon Arryn was murdered, because he feared Cersei would kill him too) and is an experienced ruler. Plus, Stannis has the right claim. Renly was a fool and IMO a pawn of the Tyrells. What he should've done was not stand against Stannis but join him as Hand. That would've saved Renly's life, and given the 100,00+ men of the Reach to Stannis who could have easily defeated the Lannisters like that. But Renly's ego was too large and he decided to stand against Stannis... costing his life, and, well, helping the Lannisters. Oh, I didn't know Stannis ever served on the council. I hated Stannis for killing Renly but I guess that was probably better than having men die in a pointless war against him. I guess Renly kinda asked for it.

Stannis served as master of ships for a long time, right after Robert's Rebellion. He fled when Jon Arryn was murdered because he, too, knew that Cersei's children were bastards. But yeah, I dislike how Stannis had to kill Renly but he would've lost. Stannis is too cold to lose.

The whole issue with Robb, Renly, Stannis, and Balon sorta reminds me of Primary Elections where candidates on the same side are at each others' throats.

Renly > Deanerys > Rob Stark > Stannis >>>>>> Joffrey Stannis > Daenerys (until she gets more experienced) > Robb Stark > Renly > Joffrey Well, my list as based on who I believed to be the best rule and I don't like Stannis. But Renly seemed like a nice guy in the series.

I think Stannis and Renly both had their pros and cons. It's kinda hard to say one is definitively better.

Renly had a better heart, but that doesn't mean he was more fit to rule. Stannis may be cold but he has what it takes to rule. Plus he's gotten screwed over repeatedly so it's understandable that he wouldn't be the happiest person.

And yeah, Rickon Stark's extremely pointless. At this point I think most people have forgotten he's existed. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if he never returns to the show.

Game of Thrones Season 2 Review
Wow. Nearly everything was better in Season 2. Emphasis on the world nearly.
Alright, you can really tell the production values went up in Season 2. We actually got to see battles, not just hear about them. Blackwater was epic, and probably one of my favorite episode. And Tyrion Lannister is officially my favorite character. It was awesome to see his bravery on Blackwater, and then it was really sad to see how he was treated in Valar Morghulis or whatever.
And another awesome character, I thought, was Jaqen Ha'gar or however you say it. It's cool to see more mythical or even magical elements in a show that's felt pretty grounded aside from dragons. Oh, and the dragons were cooler. Thing is though, the dragons were really the only cool part of Daenerys's storyline. I'm guessing she wasn't in A Clash of Kings that much. You could tell they were just sorta killing time until the end with her. Don't get me wrong, she was great in the finale. But everything else with her was just kinda weak. Like in the first two eps, all she did was wander around in the desert. And then she wasn't even in the third one. Thing's didn't even pick up once she actually went somewhere. Qarth just wasn't that interesting. A step down from her epic journey of Season 1. I'm hoping she'll have more to do in Season 3.
Jon Snow wasn't all too important either in Season 2 although that wasn't a let down as he didn't do all that much in Season 1 except react to the more interesting stuff happening down South. But he looks like he's headed in an interesting direction. Jon Show's a good character and the Night's Watch is cool... but visiting a creepy inbreeding pedophile for three episodes isn't very fun. K Let' see what happens with the wildlings. And I'm guessing Sam will meet up with Gilly again.
Now, to the actual "Clash of Kings". The war between the kings was really cool to see. It's fun to switch between who you want to win at different points. Lots of new characters introduced, which I like. I guess Robb Stark seems like the winner but that seems too easy TBH. I like the whole dilemma he has with marrying Talisa even though he swore himself to one of Frey's daughters. Renly and Stannis were cool. As was Davos Seaworth. And Melissandre is fucking creepy but I'm guessing she'll be really important later. But TBH I don't see why that shadow thing couldn't kill Joffrey and Robb Stark after i got done with Renly but whatever. And I like Brienne of Tarth and its kinda funny to see her stuck Jaime Lannister. I also liked the dilemma Catelyn had to go through with freeing Jaime.
And I think I trust Varys right now but its obvious Petyr Baelish is playing a long game. Somebody kill him. Oh, Cersei almost did.
Oh yeah, Theon... is a fucking douche! But then again... you kinda see why he is the way he is. He doesn't have everything like Joffrey. Theon just kinda wants acceptance, something he's never really gotten from the Starks.
So yeah, I thought this season was an improvement on the already awesome Season 1. The whole Iron Throne storyline was great but I kinda want to see more interesting storylines with Daenerys and Jon.
Favorite Quotes: "The Mad King did what he wanted, did your uncle Jaime ever tell you what happened to him?" -Tyrion
"No, but it's better than three defeats" - Robb
"I'm not going to rape her, I'm going to..." - Sallador I think
"Those are brave men knocking on our doors... let's go kill them!" -Tyrion
"Dracarys" -You Know
"Shut up," -Jon, a lot
"Shame, it was a good speech" -IDK
Everything Bronn says
"There are many who know that without you this city would have faced certain defeat." -Varys

I hated Theon so much in Season 2. More so than I ever did Joffrey, actually. I think it's his face or something... I just always wanted to punch him. But now I don't really hate him because of what happens to him in Seasons 3 and 4.

Dracarys!
I thought it was kinda sad when Theon said "my real father lost his head in Kings landing"

This show has become so boring and predictable TBH. I mean like, it's so obvious that Robb Stark will win the war and live happily ever after. I mean like how long are they gonna drag out the inevitable?

I like Season 3. "And Now His Watch is Ended" might be the best ep of the whole show so far.
