Don’t know if I’ve said this but I theorized that the reason they didn’t reveal the truth about Tysha was because they meant to do it later. They indirectly mentioned her again so maybe it’s true. What's the truth? Tyrion's first wife doesn't feel like a very relevant plot point at the moment

Alright episode. Yeah Rheagal's death was out of nowhere... The White Walker business now just feels like it was a distraction. Now it's getting brushed away and it will be like it never happened... Doesn't feel right to do that to one of the show's main story arcs that has been going on since the very first episode... It's not that this stuff after it isn't as interesting. I think it's just as interesting as it's been and for me it's even more interesting than some zombies... So still looking forward to how it all ends. But gosh I love Brienne so much sad that Jaime broke her heart like that Tormund is also disappointed lol all of that stuff was great. But I don't get why Cleganebowl is happening so late... I thought it'd be somewhere in like seasons 1-3 tbh

I still think Jon will end up on top but I'm not sure if there will be a throne at the end. I could see him dissolving the monarchy and implementing a council made up of leaders of each region. Or maybe he will be convinced to be King. Or maybe Dany dies and he thinks there's no choice. Or maybe he kills Dany beacause she's bad...

I still feel like these last two seasons are a completely destroying a great show... They really should have done more episodes. I know most series tend to go on for too long... but this one is ending too fast.
I hope they do a remake 15 years from now based on the (hopefully) finished books. Because these last seasons really make it hard to call this the best TV series ever, despite its perfect start.

If Cersei doesn't win, then I think it seems even more likely they'll aim for some democratic system. Sansa, Jon, and Yara all seem to be in favor of that versus a monarch.

Cersei and Dany might both die next episode honestly... But I don't think either will win the throne. Even if the people give it to Jon, I don't think he'll sit on it either.
Hopefully we get Cleganebowl next episode. It'll seem strange to wait until the finale for that. I also wonder if Bronn will do anything else important, or if his scene in this episode was his last substantial one.

Now my two favorite HBO shows have been ruined by the creators getting bored and cutting down the final seasons.

By the way... There is no way half of their forces survived the Battle of Winterfell... there were like 20 people still standing in the final shots... Not 10.000...

Kinda like Eastwatch, this really felt like two episodes crammed into one.

I still don’t get what they’re doing with Bronn and his scene was super weird.
I stand by what I said that they should’ve had Drogon burn him.

The last scene looks like it’s in Essos.

That honestly may have been the worst scene in the whole series. It felt completely out of place, made no sense and seemed really weird. It has little impact on the story, so it's no big deal... but that scene was terrible.

I don’t get how Bronn was able to get to Winterfell, sneak in, and then, sneak out. The second he left the room, I would have put out an APB and killed the Potato is Awesomeer.

If they wanted to kill Rhaegal (and off Ghost) they should’ve done it in Episode 3.
It would’ve been more satisfying and it even appeared he’d died for a while.

This episode feels a lot like two crammed into one, much like “Eastwatch”

I’d rather have long seasons if it meant we got to see things like Bran talking to Tyrion and the actual reaction Arya and Sansa have to finding out Jon is a Targaryen.

I feel like tonight’s episode (presumably the climax of the whole show) could redeem this season or ratify it as the biggest disappointment in television history.

I feel like tonight’s episode (presumably the climax of the whole show) could redeem this season or ratify it as the biggest disappointment in television history. Some of the decisions they've made this season (and even S7) haven't been ideal for me, but I'm hoping that these final two episodes offer a strong finish, regardless of those choices. I really don't want to let a few things this late in the series ruin the whole show for me.

You build up a character like Daenerys over 8 seasons and have her go bat shit crazy in the second to last episode with nearly no build up because... shock value? Subverting expectations?
You have a character like Jon be built up for 8 seasons and have basically no important role in the end game. And you have him sit there doing absolutely nothing while Varys is burned alive.

And all of a sudden we're supposed to care about the people in King's Landing... why? We haven't seen them for like 2 seasons. We know no one from there.
And how the hell did Daenerys burn all of those Scorpions without one hitting her? They killed Rhaegal in seconds last episode. And now she can dodge dozens of them on her own? They should have given Drogon armor or something. At least then it would have made more sense.

I have several complaints about this episode... some major ones. But I guess this is at least better than the Cersei dies and everyone is happy ending.
Still...
Well I will complain tomorrow, better get some sleep now.
