But honestly I don't know what I think/thought of Stannis. I always thought he was weird messing with magic and whatnot which put me off initially. And also he was ready to do anything to take the throne even kill his family members which maybe is questionable. But he's definitely extremely utilitarian. His quest wasn't for personal gain but rather something he felt was necessary which is almost respectable. I can't believe how Davos never faltered with his faith in him. I like Davos but idk his endorsement wasn't enough for me to root for Stannis. Doesn't matter now I guess lol I don't really want Daenerys to take the throne either. She can be kind of a bitch... I don't like her character as much as I thought I would. Honestly I don't think I like her at all but don't dislike her either. If I could've picked anyone to be on the throne it probably would've been Robb. Maybe Jon now. It seems he's the "hidden" main character and the song of ice and fire refers to him (I read a spoiler that he's a Targaryen or something not sure how that's supposed to play out) Stannis always seemed kind of strange to me in the beginning, but his character became more interesting as the show progressed. I couldn't say he was a likable character, but there was a sense of respect he commanded due to his end goal. Plus the idea of him being a Baratheon made me more inclined to see him win the throne versus some of the others. Robb would've been cool to see get it in response to his father's betrayal, but GRRM purposely didn't do that, since most generic fantasies would've had that ending. I also agree that there's something about Dany that makes me not a huge fan of her. I kind of sway back and forth each season on how much I enjoy her character.

Thanks for that hook up bane I gave in and finished season 6. Battle of the Bastards was pretty awesome. If only the Vale showed up just a bit earlier before most everyone died... And damn Cersei just fuuuucked everyone holy shit... Didn't think lady margarine would go like that. I thought she was playing the church or something since she seems like a very manipulative person. But honestly Lancel could've blown out those candles and saved everyone... And damn Tommen just yeeted himself out of the castle... Was it because his girl died or he realized his mom was evil or he felt bad everyone died or a combination of all of that? It felt really sudden though didn't expect Tommen to kill himself. Maybe he really loved margarine and couldn't live without her
Also I was liking Jaime a lot more but his bad side started showing again during the Walder Frey stuff... Don't really like him going back and forth like that. It's interesting how a lot of characters' roads lead them to Daenerys. I'm guessing she will finally arrive in Westeros in season 7. Looking forward to that

The Clone Wars rewatch ends the Friday before GOT begins. If I'm caught up by that point, the timing between these two works out perfectly.

God damnit Cersei is pregnant with her brother's kid again.... This shit started everything in the first place. But speaking of incest.. Jon and Daenerys lmao I kinda figured they'd get married but I didn't think theyd fuck lol.
Honestly was a little sad when Viserion turned. But rip wall... Oh and the whole Baelish thing kinda confused me.. But I guess his character wasn't really going anywhere so it was time for him to die. He survived longer than I expected. I really hope Jaime's done with Cersei and goes to Brienne I mean how can anyone like Cersei tbh

I'm worried about who's gonna die though. Really hope Tormund lives past at least the first episode of 8. His wiki page says he is still alive but it seemed like the entirety of Castle Black was destroyed. Or it will be.. I like him and his infatuation with Brienne is funny lol
I'll be sad to see Bronn, the Hound, and Jorah go as well if they do. The kinda secondary characters like these guys are in danger id think

It still frustrates me how his character become much less interesting after S4.

It will end how the books end right? We don't really know for sure, since George R.R. Martin still needs to write two more books... (he probably won't at this point, I'm pretty sure he's pushing 70). I'm pretty sure he told the show runners how his version will roughly end, but I think they might make some changes.

I wonder why Dany and Jon are going North with the dragons... flying practice for Jon? And what did they burn? Wights?

In the books he actually keeps heading for redemption and abandons Cersei when he is in the Riverlands.

I kinda wanted him to die in Spoils of War just so that sequence would have more impact. But now that he’s on the other side I’d rather just keep him alive. In the books though he stops being relevant after Tyrion leaves for Essos.

It will end how the books end right? Well, the showrunners know what Martin planned for the ending of his books. So the most important things will probably be pretty much the same, but I suspect the book ending will still be quite different from the show's.

I wonder why Dany and Jon are going North with the dragons... flying practice for Jon? And what did they burn? Wights? They could just be near Winterfell. I suspect the difference between Winterfell's surroundings and the area north of the wall will be very minimal during the winter. And to me it looked like the dragons were just finishing their meal.

I just thought it was some weird whiplash to have him rape Cersei next to Joffrey’s dead body. Yeah, I am fairly certain that didn't happen in the books. That scene is completely out of place, it makes Jaime look evil once again... even though he is supposed to be a better person at that point.

I didn’t think Jaime and Edmure was him being evil though. He had to convince Edmure that he was willing to butcher Riverrun so he would surrender the castle. If he hadn’t done that, a huge and bloody battle would’ve ensued.
