Sad to say Breaking Bad has officially reclaimed the "best tv show of all time" spot after the last few seasons of GoT. Good try GoT but things just didn't quite work out. Nah, Breaking Bad is still not anywhere close to GOT. That entire series was a boring disappointment. For GOT it's just season 7.

Bro how do you not like Breaking Bad I don't understand how people DO like Breaking Bad... It was one of the most boring series I ever watched. I just kept watching hoping it would eventually get interesting (since everyone seemed to like it so much) but that never happened... I really do not understand how people think that gets anywhere near the level of GOT. Even if they have bad writing/episodes (like season 7) the overall story is still really good and interesting... while Breaking Bad is just 5 seasons of the same thing, pretty much.

Also, this episode shattered part of my hopes for Jaime being Azor Ahai... In order to forge his weapon Azor Ahai had to kill his wife... so in order for Jaime to be Azor Ahai he had to kill Cersei... that did not happen and Jaime is heading north now, the NK might be defeated before Jaime ever gets another chance to kill Cersei. Still, there are still hints in the book about Jaime being Azor Ahai. In A Feast of Crows the title "Goldenhand" is used several times to refer to Jaime. At one point Jaime even thinks: "This was justice. Make a habit of it, Lannister, and one day men might call you Goldenhand after all."
The words for Gold and Hand in Valeryian are Āeksio and Ondos. While the words for Lord and Light are Aeksio and Onos. That seems too close to be a coincidence... so Jaime might still have a very important part o play.
Also, did anyone notice how the wight went straight for Cersei? Maybe the Night King wants to get rid off Cersei for some reason...

Well BB is definitely more subtle in a lot of ways, but I like it for that reason. More undertones. Deeper meaning (human nature). More approachable. bottom line is that not everyone likes the same shows and that's okay

{Spoiler}I was just rewatching Viserion's death scene... and when Jon emerges from the water the eyes on Longsclaw's hilt seem to open... It's really weird. I think that might just be a drop of water Well... about that drop of water...

Still I think GOT has a lot of undertones, deeper meanings and vague foreshadowing/parallels. And there are plenty of series I do not really like, but often I can see why others would like them... With Breaking Bad, I have no idea why people like it... so the fact that so many people consider it one of the best series ever is something I do not quite understand... especially when more complex and developed series like GOT exist.

Well yeah I feel the same way about a show like The Legend of Korra as you do about Breaking Bad. Truthfully I feel like it might be a cultural thing since Breaking Bad is definitely a very American show. Like it's set in Arizona for God sakes.

I like Breaking Bad but with GOT there's just no comparison. Not one season of Breaking Bad was well bad... Even when they divided Season 5 into two parts it was still fantastic. I'm willing to bet Game of Thrones took the gamble to divide the last 2 seasons into smaller 7/8 episode seasons because they saw it was successful on Breaking Bad and so far they are failing. Game of Thrones has had multiple poorly written and just meh seasons, Breaking Bad is by far superior

Well season 1 of Breaking Bad was kinda meh but that doesn't count... it's just unfortunate the show started the year the writers strike was on

They were originally going for 7 seasons, but HBO wanted to add another... the writers/directors refused to do another full season, so 13 episodes spread over 2 seasons was the compromise. They should have listened to HBO... And I will grant you all Breaking Bad episodes were the same quality, but in my opinion even the worst GOT episodes were more entertaining to watch than anything in that series... Honestly I found myself bored throughout a lot of it... I have seen worse series, ones I just could not even get through, but GOT's story is by far superior.

I mean Breaking Bad is good for what it does but it lacks the ambition of Game of Thrones. Like it has consistency, yeah, but it's highs are nowhere close to GOT's highs and honestly it was kinda limited by the fact it was on AMC.

Also they just can't afford 10 episodes per season. It's so much work to film 10 episodes. It takes 12 animators 6 months to fully CGI one dragon scene. Not to mention actually filming these large scale battles. It's tiresome for both the crew and actors and they don't have the time or the money. I'm glad they can put these large scale game changing beauty battles if it means a cost of 3 episodes. They can't afford it. 30 million per episode is too much. And the directors can't direct longer than they are given and writers can't get paid nearly as much. 6 episodes for supersize episodes is gonna take longer to film then 10 episodes. And the set pieces and production is going to be doubled of this season. On business perspective and just what can be done - 6 episodes is healthy for the cost of rushed episodes. And it's only predictable because we're near the end. There's only so much you can do and these plots have been written out before we even knew. It's only predictable because the show is finally closing in on it's endgame.

So, I finished Feast of Crows a few days ago... definitely the worst of the books (so far). Everything is just so slow... But the ending is really weird and seems very important...
When Sam arrives at the Citadel he has to wait a really long time to see the archmaesters... but he is approached by a man who works for some kind of rogue Archmaester and asks Sam to come with him. The rogue Archmaester knew Sam was coming to the Citadel. In his office he has some kind of strange dragonglass candle. When Sam asks the man how he knew about his arrival at the Citadel he nods to the candle. Later explains that: "The sorcerers of the Freehold could see across mountains, seas, and deserts with one of these glass candles. They could enter a man's dreams and give him visions, and speak to one another half a world apart, seated before their candles."
So basically these candles work like Weirwood trees/Bran/Three-eyed Raven. But this random Archmaester and his apprentices all seem to be able to use it to some extend... So in theory someone could have used these candles to manipulate other characters... Seems like a pretty important thing... I don't understand why I never heard about this before reading the book.

It's only predictable because the show is finally closing in on it's endgame. Pretty sure they can afford 10 episodes... HBO even wanted them to make 10 episodes, but they refused. This is one of the most popular series of all time, I am certain they have the money... Besides, not every episode has to be extremely expensive. We do not need expensive CGI Zombie Polar Bears in every episode... Just have some interactions between characters take a little longer... Or just release the season later so there is more time/money. As much as I don't like waiting, I very much prefer it to a rushed ending. And the end should be unpredictable. Or at least there could be unexpected major characters dying... I'm sure season 8 will have major deaths... but not unexpected ones. And if Jon (who has the most screentime, is treated as one of the two the main characters and has been fighting wights since season 1) ends being Azor Ahai and saves the world (probably dying in the process) that would be extremely predictable, which is not like GOT.

It's only predictable because the show is finally closing in on it's endgame. Well said. I think everyone's being a bit harsh... yeah, it's gotten sort of predictable, but that's only because it's following the pattern that all good stories do. At this point, we have our clear heroes (Jon and Daenerys) and clear villains (Cersei and the Night King). I think we can all safely assume neither of those villains are going to win (even though I do think it would be cool if the Night King came out on top, but that clearly won't happen). It's the heroes journey that they're following, it's just taken a while to get there. And I also don't think number of deaths makes or breaks a season. Just because no one super important died this season means it's more lackluster than the others. I think we've all been kind of spoiled with all the surprise deaths and twists, and it's gotten to the point where everyone expects everything now. Nothing surprises them. Ironically, Littlefinger this season also had a speech about playing every scenario in your head and never being surprised about anything.

I think there's a good chance one of Dany's dragons will die. If not this season, then probably next. It's possible... but if we will see it turn in a wight I doubt it will be this season... I think the wall is going to collapse this season and that will probably be the cliffhanger of the last episode... and I don't think the dragons will be heading beyond the wall this season... Looks like I was 50% right...
