Bane is an unique character. Someone casual fans will remember, unlike Fives. Fives needs to be distinguished from others by having a five on his head. And the final arc he appears in shows he wasn't even in control of his own mind. Bane on the other hand has some unique characteristics. And he's extremely intelligent and skilled. He's probably the most cunning and successful villain in the series (except for Sidious, obviously). And unlike other villains he isn't totally evil. He just seems like someone with cool gadgets that's pretty much it. Boba / Jango of TCW. Fives actually made decisions for himself in Umbara and Order 66 arc. Bane was pretty much always someone's bitch. Also Bane didnt have any real character Devoplment. Villains usually have less character development than heroes. But Bane had some and would have gotten much more character development in S6... if it hadn't been for Disney. But in there was definitely lots of character development for Bane in the Deception arc. And he's nothing like Jango or Boba. Those two never did anything impressive. The first thing Bane did was walk right into the heart of the Republic, take some of the Republic's most important people hostage with an excellent plan and outsmart Palpatine. Boba was just a delivery boy in the movies. And if someone is "someone's bitch" it's Fives. He's obviously the Republic's "bitch" or even Palpatine's "bitch". Everything Bane does is for his own profit.

Bane seems cool but he's actually kinda boring and did nothing the entire show. Fives kinda gets an unfair advantage since he got his whole story told before the Disney bull sh*t. But still Fives is one of the best developed characters of the show and he died trying to defeat the Emperor and save the galaxy. Bane is an unique character. Someone casual fans will remember, unlike Fives. Fives needs to be distinguished from others by having a five on his head. He's probably the most cunning and successful villain in the series (except for Sidious, obviously). And unlike other villains he isn't totally evil. You're right. Fives does deserve more recognition.

Oh btw Banes job success rate is 1/3. He only successful arc was the hostage crisis which tied in season 3. He ultimately failed the other 2 in the end.

Only an idiot wouldn't have rebelled against Krell. And he didn't really rebel against the Republic. The republic controlled his mind and after he thought he had freed himself from that he became Palpatine's pawn. I'm not saying he was necessarily "someone's bitch" but definitely more than Bane.

I'd say he was semi-successful in the Holocron arc. Sidious messed it up with his bad hiding place for these children and his horrible security. And he succeeded at kidnapping the chancellor... but his employer just didn't show up, which ruined it for him. And he completed his first job in that arc successfully (freeing Eval). I'd say his chances of success were much higher than most villain's.

No you said Boba and Jango didnt do cool stuff but that's because they where not the main focus of the movies. I said Bane is pretty much TCW response/'equivalent to Boba/Jango. I don't remember ever seeing an episode where Bane is dining something for himself truly...

Yes he works for other people of very high power he never has an arc just about him where he's doing something not on someone else's will all the time. He probably would be working for Boba in the next arc anyways since he's a solo hunter. No way does Boba and his gang just let him take over when they outnumber him.

Not Dooku since he pretty much is the confederacy without him there wiouldnt be much. And they always made the bad guys lose which was a problem with this show. But Bane isn't really a villain more of a neutral party. I don't get why Smugglers and Bounty hunters are always considered good/ evil they take jobs where they can.

Well, Dooku barely ever succeeded in the arcs he appeared in. But Sidious and Maul were very successful villains, they didn't always lose. The bonus content and final arcs of S5 were pretty much all about villains being victorious. And bounty hunters are always considered evil. Sugi and Embo (until the bonus content) were pretty much good guys. But people like Bane, that always oppose the good guys are considered villains from a storytelling perspective. They may not be truly evil in reality, but they are villains.

Bane is still the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, he might team-up with Boba... but I don't think he'd work for him.

Don't use that argument it's only considered non canon when the majority of people actually give into Disney saying its non canon you're not going to just tell an entire fan base overnight that everything is non canon and have people accept it.

No, they made post-episode 6 EU non canon and put the rest of the EU on one side ready to be used again whenever it needs to be . If they reset the EU like you said, TOR and stories from a whole bunch of other games would be gone which would be stupid for Disney to do. They didn't get rid of the whole EU because the fanbase would be very angry, they are trying to keep the fanbase content

I'd say, they're intentionally trying to upset the fanbase. But I looked it up and all of the previous EU stories are now part of another canon called "Star Wars Legends". So they did become non-canon.
