I dont have much to say about it than I enjoyed it I haven't read that either. Will look into it. The end is freakin amazing. Ill give you a tiny little hint about it K? {SPOLAZ} The end has to do with a pit with a corpse full of snakes.

How many of you guys have read this book? It's a really good book. One of my favorites, actually. If you're interested in a good story, this is one of them. It's called Weasel. The name is kind of lame but it's a great suspenseful story. The main storyline goes like this. There lives a boy (the person seen in the picture) a little girl and the Grandpa of the house. They live deep in the forest in there own Log Cabin. One day the Pap realizes they're running low on meat. He sets out to hunt for more meat so they can survive the Winter. They await his return to what would seem up to no more than three or four days. Time passes and day by day they await his return. But up to four months now and no sign of his pap's return. Scared and worried that his Pap may be injured or even dead, he sets out to find him. He journey's the woods alone and afraid of what he may find. Not until he journey's in the dark woods on the outskirts of his Cabin, does he start to see shadows and the feeling as if he is being followed. Just then he is reminded of the Legends his Grandpa used to tell him about a murder and stalker who lurked in these parts of the woods. The mysterious man known as Weasel has not been seen in decades, until the night he encounters him on a chase seen in the dark. Could this Weasel be the reason his Grandpa went missing? Frightened and alone in the woods he searches desperately for answers... Haven't read it, but it sounds good. Thanks for spreading the word on other books. Did I just see an emote? My god.

I think I may add a book list of each user to the first post...like I did with my list on the first post but add more book list that other users have read. So if you want me to add one just tell me all the books you have read.

The Lottery
The Lottery is a short depressing story written by Shirley Jackson. I wont go into much detail about it because the less info about the story going into it the more it will become interesting. It is rated as one of the most famous short stories in English literature. It is described as a chilling tale of conformity gone mad. She received a number of hate letters (even her parents) from many people about the book...in other words it is a controversial book. What is the lottery you may ask? Why did she receive so much hate mail? Well you will have to read it to find out. You can probably find the short story somewhere on the internet. After you have read it, what do you think of the Lottery, do you agree with on why so many people gave her hate mail? What would you associate the Lottery with in real history?
{Spoiler Review} I liked the short story. It surprised me on what happened in the ending. Yes it was depressing. What do you have to associate the Lottery with in real history. Many people thought it was like the Holocaust, because of the depressing tone of it. Also because that people didn't agree with the fact that they stoned their friends to death but they still did it, which ended up in mass number of deaths. Like the Holocaust the neighbors and colleges of Jews didn't stick together, which ended up in many deaths. I think it is so strange how friendly the village was to each other, they were making jokes even. But in the simple meaning of a black dot everyone turned on each other.

Description: In an isolated Antartic research outpost, a small group of scientists made a once-in-a-lifetime discovery. For the first time, modern man would come face to face with the absolute ruler of the prehistoric world, the fearsome king of the dinosaurs- the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. Blinded by scientific zeal, the researchers thought only of the importance of their find, the contribution to modern science. But soon they were forced to open their eyes to an inescapable fact. Once revived, the specimen needed to feed. And unlike some of his extinct relatives, this one was a Carnivore. This is a simple good book. The premis is simple enough, the egg hatches and bad shit happens. The story moves along good but is a bit predictable at times. There is several points in the story when the tension is high, which brings you into the book. There is LOTS of gore in this book, very descriptive gore. I personally didnt mind it but viewer descretion advised. There were problems though. The book could of had alot more details, i wouldve liked to know more backstory on the characters and just more details on certain things. Also some of the characters could have been written differently, like more diverse. Some of them seemed a little too generic. Getting to know the characters more wouldve made me care for them more and i felt like it was sort of predictable at times on who you knew was gonna die. The book could have been better but overall was a fun/good read. One big thing that needs to happen is that someone needs to make a movie out of this. This book would make an excellent movie. The book has many great parts to it that would be badass on the big screen. Like Jurrasic park they could change many things up in a movie for this compred to the book and still be great. There is many great elements that would make the movie so good. The T rex obviously would be one. There is lots of classic movie elements that fit into it (in a good way), like the scientist who cares for the beast, the dog that everyone loves, the bad guy, etc. A movie would be great and i hope one day they make one. It would be awesome. Rating scale: 8/10 Good read Recommended: To people who like stories about beasts and who just like to have a good time and read. Easy read, doesn't take long to read.

Does anyone else agree that The Hunger Games has borrowed several themes/ideas from LOTR/Hobbit? I think it does, but I want to see what others think too.

Omg we had to pick books to read in language arts and I picked one called Head Above Water just because it had the least number of pages and it was total bs... (oh wait bs books don't belong in this thread... whatever.....) It literally has no plot and is like 50 shades of gray junior edition gah don't read it unless you have to all the other choices were equally bad sounding but with more pages and they were all for girls/from girls' point of view gah foolish teachers

I would recommend the "Ranger's Apprentice" series. Yeah, it was one of my favorite series. I'm going to read the first book soon. Possibly next week. If I like it, I may read the whole series. But is it one of those series that all the books are equally good, or one of those series where the first is the best and the rest get worse?

Anyone read "Fast Food Nation"? If not, I'm not sure I'd waste your time unless you're actually into that stuff. I mean, it was a required book for me this summer and it was alright, but I enjoyed it a lot less knowing I had to read it as "work" so I had to really process all the data in the book. It's a very disturbing, sad, yet interesting book though. I wouldn't read it unless you have a lot of time on your hands or want a book that'll take awhile to finish. Cause it's like reading 276 pages of Wikipedia information... Took me a little over three weeks to read and I'm a faster reader so... Still, it was okay, but while I didn't "love" it, I can't bring myself to not recommend it. I feel that everyone should at some point, because of what it talks about in the book, and the younger you read it, the bigger impact it may have on you for awareness and such.

Anyone read the book called The Bell Jar. Just finished it today. Never a book I would've read on my own (which is why it was required ). It was pretty sad yet somewhat happy (at parts). A pretty serious and mature book, but it's very thought provoking. Pretty decent book and I suppose I would recommend it. It's a "classic" book too, so it's been around for awhile.
