But it's not mindless. It's making a personal decision based on experiences and and the bible. (Well, at least Christianity) Its the vulnerability that comes from reaching out in love to something you don't understand. Most of the time it's because children are taught about Christianity from a young age and told that is the right thing to believe and follow But as a human with free will, you can ignore the teachings at any moment.

No modern western culture is based Roman/Greek culture. During the dark ages it was based on christianity. While christianity still has a role in our society. During the Renaissance our culture as we now it today started to form, the Renaissance was based on Roman culture. And in turn... What?

However if they are raised as a theist from a young age, it would be very hard for them, it is drummed into their minds until they become close minded and refuse to turn their backs on their beliefs, this isn't the case for every theist, but for some it is.

This is how I like showing where I stand in terms of politics: Democratic | ----- |---- | Authoritarian Left-Wing | ---- |----- | Right-Wing Open Society | - |-------- | Closed Society Free Market | ------ |--- | Central Planning Dove | -- |------- | Hawk Interventionism | -------- |- | Isolationism And for those who are confused with the above terms, I found a image that explains them quite nicely

There's nothing in the bible saying to lock up atheists. No, actually the bible says stoning is much more appropriate for atheists... Seriously, where do you get this? Jesus didn't come to Earth with a sword to kill atheists. He came to help them. Christians want to CONVERT and teach others about God.

The left-wing doesn't interfere with personal lives as much as the right-wing.

No, actually the bible says stoning is much more appropriate for atheists... Seriously, where do you get this? Jesus didn't come to Earth with a sword to kill atheists. He came to help them. Christians want to CONVERT and teach others about God. Deuteronomy 17 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die. Although this refers to people who believe in other things, this seems to apply to atheists and other non believers as well "If your brother, son, daughter, wife, or friend tries to get you to worship another god, thou shalt surely kill him, thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death." "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? ... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord"

It's not entirely correct though. The left-wing doesn't interfere with personal lives as much as the right-wing. LOL no Yes. The left-wing is more accepting of stuff like gay marriage and legalizing drugs.

Atheists don't worship any gods, so I highly doubt they try to get other people to.

Christians want to CONVERT and teach others about God. Well, the stoning part was just random. But I'm fairly certain the bible says atheists must die. While I never read it, I have seen quotes and hear plenty of stories, and stoning wouldn't be the worst thing in it.

Then why didn't Jesus do it? Because Jesus didn't write the bible. Or maybe because God doesn't kill atheists. Just throwing that out there.
