I'm only on Book 1 Episode 5 of LOK   Newan beat you on watching LOK. Yes, but I also watched ATLA. I would've been done with LOK by now if I hadn't watch that first. But it doesn't matter too much. I prefer going slower and savoring each episode so I can get maximum enjoyment. |

Okay so yeah like I watched 2 seasons in one day so yeah that's like my show watching for the next 3 months... Well besides Supernatural and Rebels when they come on. But Kuvira was a pretty good villain. Like at the start I really liked her complete control that's how you get shit done  but then she pulled a stupid move like invading the Russians early like Hitler or invading Crimea like Putin... Too power hungry not patient enough. Korra became a better character as the season went on but not the best by far. Tenzin and Mako are just really good imo. But Mako had a smaller role here so he kinda dropped a bit making Tenzin probably my favourite of the show followed by like Mako, Kuvira and Amon. Story was the best here for sure but "Remembrances" brought it down imo but that's probably just me I mean you guys that watched it over the years may have found it kinda refreshing but since i finished in less than a week it was just... Boring. The ending was pretty good the Korra and Asami thing I'll make a separate post but I think most things got wrapped up pretty nicely. The Fire Nation seemed under focused in the show but I'd assume if they went on it would have a bigger role. So yeah... Season 1: 8.7/10 Season 2: 6.5/10 Season 3 9.2/10 Season 4: 9.6/10 Overall I'd say 8.9/10 probably idk it's just shy of a 9 but season 2 just really brought it down imo sorry |

Oh and the animation was nice but ultimately my opinion is unchanged Id take Rebel animation. 3D is just better.

So for the show overall...
Story: 9/10 - 3 seasons of good stories are able to give some decency to the garbage of season 2.
Characters 8.7/10 - idk most are good but I found Korra hard to like at times and she's the main character.
Music 7.5/10 - lets just say it's no John Williams.
Setting 10/10 - interesting locations.
Villains 8.7/10 - again blame season 2...
Yeah overall 8.9/10

Now Asami and Korra... I'll just say right now I have no problem with it being in the show IF it was done right.
Id say it's just a disaster that maybe should have been left out. Personally I took it as just friends tbh there was nothing before like the last 2 minutes of the final episode to suggest anything of a couple and even then girls holding hands? Ha big deal I probably see that multiple times a day at school (guarantee most of those girls are not lesbian as well). If guys are holding hands outside of family maybe then yeah that means something but girls nah.
And to say it's canon on some interview or something is BS I hate it when producers and shit do that. Like cmon who remembers George Lucas saying like yeah the empire was defeated at Endor... Cause that makes total sense that a galactic empire died cause 2 of its leaders died. It really is no different here if you're going to make it canon then make it direct in the show don't leave it open for the fans to decide (like Chex said on NR) and then just come on a interview and say it's canon. It pretty much just seems like all of this was added cause the directors daughter is probably a lesbian and wanted it at the last second and then she said it's not good enough so he goes and confirms it... Really it just seems that careless to me.

But they didn't think Nickelodeon, the same channel that considered cancelling Korra before season 1 aired because the main character was female, would accept homosexual relationships... but throughout season 3 and 4 they tried to push in that direction. There are lots of small hints (and some more obvious ones) and surprisingly Nickelodeon accepted it. And the ending made it pretty obvious, especially if you watched ATLA (which ended on a similar note with Aang and Katara) and what would have been the point of that scene if not to imply Korra and Asami had a relationship? Also, a huge chunk of the fanbase predicted this ending and during season 4 it became obvious to me that it was a serious possibility. Either way, I think the finale scene was pretty well done. |

They had a contract with Nickelodeon for 13 episodes. So even if the budget got cut they had to deliver 13 episodes. Still, I think it was was alright for an episode without a budget... |
