I agree, the marketing for Who has been pretty poor. It would've been a lot cooler on their part to not make any fuss over the character turning into a woman, but, because this the BBC, they have to make a big song and dance about it.

Okay, saw the premiere and... it wasn't good. Script wasn't good, the attempt at building tension was poor and Jodie just didn't get great material to work with. Also the monster this week was just a dental version of the Predator. Kinda lame, really. It also feels too self serious for my liking and as someone who actually thought it might work out, I am pretty darn disappointed.
Maybe I should just watch the Tennant series instead...

Yeah they pretty much said they ran out of ideas which I think is not very good.. They can follow what they did for the last special. Just make the episode have a holiday atmosphere it doesn't have to have Christmas elements in it. Maybe they need to get some more creative people... |

So I read that article and Chibnall said a full series each year is "unsustainable".... Um if you're running out of ideas and can't do a season a year you should not be in the tv business. And how is he acting like a season a year is something odd like several shows have 20+ episode seasons every year. Maybe it's a BBC thing but idk everyone is seeming a little incompetent over there right now

Watched the Woman who Fell to Earth. Not terrible it was fairly entertaining. And I think I like Jodie as the Doctor. Too bad everyone else in this show is just a bunch of soy boys like the episode starts with this grown ass mf that can’t ride a bike..... And that crane operator dude is the biggest fucking soy boy beta of them all
But the cinematography is really impressive it looks like a movie. But if it makes the show too expensive to produce then they should cut back on the budget. Lots of movies and shows with smaller budgets have been really good. It’s all about the storytelling not the effects. The music was also not that great hope it improves..

Arachnids in UK not that good either... Like it kinda has the DW feel to it but idk who wanted an episode about giant spiders......
And they just had to mention Trump... Really wish there wasn't any social commentary. Also including current popular trends or slang stuff is not smart because it doesn't make it timeless. When future people watch this Potato Rules it'll be weird to them. It's cringe for me now

At least the companions aren't terrible. I really like Graham, Ryan can be cool but Yaz is the weakest. Doesn't really have anything to offer... I do sort of wish they stuck with the traditional one companion structure as everything else has changed.

So finally bit the bullet and watched Series 10. I didn't really expect to like it but I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the episodes were a bit too formulaic or predictable but honestly, they were all pretty enjoyable. And the last few episodes I really liked. I hadn't watched any new episodes in almost two years so I had almost forgotten how great Capaldi is. Man, he's at his best here. I still kinda doubt I'll watch Series 11. But honestly those last few episodes make a pretty good finale for Doctor Who if that's where it ends for me.
