My review: Just watched it on TV it was actually better than even I expected and I have been open minded about it this entire time. The characters are all pretty good and the setting was good as well. I remember watching the first TCW episodes and the movie when they came out and I think I actually enjoyed this premiere better than the Ambush premiere. The music was very well done. Ezra actually isn't that bad and I think I like Kanan the best out of the heroes but Hera is good as well Tbh they're all pretty good though. Will for sure continue watching it the next episode according to the TV guide is October 12th for me (Kinda weird most shows don't got a Sunday slot) The animation at least watching it in HD on the TV is actually pretty good not TCW good but still the best right now probably. At first glance just from watching this im not really that upset about TCW (not that I was for a long time now) but if you actually got over it and watched from a certain perspective its a good show the only problem I thnik I might have is that they may not let the Empire win enough. To a extent I really get the feeling like its a more dumbed down SWTOR kinda story idk just the vibe I got (if you played some of them through it feels a bit similar with the characters like the jedi knight story for example) Animation: 8/10 (It's pretty good but Wookies where meh the Child one looked better though there's certain spots where they stand out a lot more like the star destroyer on the outside was quite well done) Characters: 8.5/10 (dialogue can bring it down sometimes) Audio; 10/10 (it's all really well done but that is the same in ever Star Wars product) Story: 9.5/10 Overall Star Wars: Rebels spark of rebellion 9/10. Will be looking forward to next week and the inquisitor. Yeah I was thinking the same that it was better than Ambush although I think TCW movie still beats it.. But for what it is still good And yeah the characters are all cool Kanan is my favorite too next to Zeb and Hera. Ezra... Idk... He's still annoying maybe he will grow on me but I doubt it I found Ahsoka annoying in the movie and season 1 if I rated TCWS movie based on characters Id probably give it a 7/10... This premiere was much better IMO and I actually really like this style of animation its fresh I guess you could say. But the only animated shows I watch are ones with a Star Wars label attached anything else I wouldn't bother. Ezra will probably be more like Anakin or Luke and mature over time I think by season 2 he will be much different. Anyways I probably would rate them Kanan, Hera, Zeb, Ezra, Sabine. I'm not counting chopper or Kallus just the main 5 heroes. May even reverse Zeb with Ezra or tie. |

But yeah if TCW was just starting now with this along side it Id probably have a hard time of finding which one to like more Id watch both of course
And I always liked the Empire more than the Republic weather it be SWTOR or This Empire so this kinda of setting appeals a bit more to me in a sense. And I mean having a more sensible enemy is a lot better than battle droids...

I was expecting to not like Ezra at all but he's really not bad. He wasn't bratty or anything at all and was actually sort of mature for a character at his age. If we're ranking characters then I wouldn't know how to put them yet since I want to see a bit more. But I think Agent Kallus was my favorite character from the premiere. Honestly, I think he might turn out to be a better villain than the Inquisitor.  It's just a shame that no good guys can die since it's a main group. That means the best the bad guys can do is make the the rebels retreat or something... other than that the rebels are just always going to win. |

Yeah, just watched the premiere. Pretty good actually. Some cheesy dialogue, yes, and the wookies were pretty ugly (could've been worse though. We're just spoiled by TCW wookies). But I thought the characters were pretty good as well as the story. And overall, it had a Star Wars feel. A little rushed at the end and a few unrealistic/cheesy scenes, but it was still better than I thought it'd be and actually quite enjoyable. There was some good humor too surprisingly. And what's up with Sabine and Ezra stealing my whole Kili and Ryaria thing from HOT Prologue - part 2? I totally came up with the saying the name thing as you leave the room after the guy fails at flirting idea!  |

Wikipedia says the next episode airs on the 13th (Monday) through my TV guide has it on the 12th (Sunday) idk why that is maybe cause the monday is thanksgiving in Canada or maybe we just get it early again idk. |

So... After watching the LOK premiere 4 times yesterday I found myself wanting to see Rebels from start to finish to see why you guys found it so amazing.... That was a disappointment. What a slam to the face. I'll post a review soon. I kind of forgotten a lot of what happened because like I said it's forgettable. I'll stick to watching premieres that are actually good. I'm giving rebels one more try. If they fuk up a TCW character or Prequel character then it's literally a Disney Sh1t show.

To anyone that doesn't like Rebels:
If you're going to watch Rebels episodes make sure you watch them through "illegal" sources so Disney makes less money and the ratings go down a bit (obviously, if one person does this it won't make a difference... but still).

Yeah it says new episodes will premiere 9PM East Monday's... For me it's 7PM Mountain Sunday that's kinda weird.
Anyways I liked how it felt more OT than Prequel like TCW it's nice.

Rebels Review (Sort of) - Disclaimer just my opinion do not have to agree or argue with me about it.
Rebels is a predictable, stereotypical, non-original TV Show that captures the hearts of people who don't know what quality TV is. Sure it is for kids, but then why are teenagers saying that is was "great". Well it's not. It's starts off with the most bland opening to any type of premiere. Might I add the music sounds like the same music from every OT. Can they be any more original! The quote "I remember the time before you Imperial Thugs showed up" I agree. It was so much better without this show and Disney little alien glad that we agree! The officers, especially the fat one, is as incompetent as the stormtroopers. Why follow the same things that OT did wrong when you can improve on it? Ezra is so obnoxious is he purposely trying to get himself killed? No 9 year old (Or how ever old he is) would do the things he does. The officers are blind as hell. Someone needs to get them some glasses. One animation problem that bothers me (The animation isn't too bad now but) Ezra's hair looks like a mop and moves like Medusa's. The hair looks like a copy out of EA's Potato Rules new game Sims 4 and it blows in the wrong direction as well. So the Imperials don't notice a Jedi and thugs with weapons and lightsabers hanging around the streets? But they confiscate a barrel of fruit. So many sins in just 10 minutes. I have a ton of more sins but I should let Pinda do that. Blaster animation = crap. Stormtroopers = Sucks can't shoot a thing. And what the fudge are the TIE Fighters even shooting at? Theres a giant ship in the open and they decide to shoot at the grass??? Everything is so convenient and predictable. "I'm in space?" Line is the worst. Have you not notice the starship leaving the atmosphere or are you blind as well? Every minute there is some cheap laugh line trying to get you to laugh. Who wrote this script? A 5 year old? The explosions in space look like a bunch of snow as well.
So did Dave Filoni decide to steal all the characters of his previous shows? Kallus looks a complete copy of Zhao? Not too mention the Inquisitor is a bleeched version of Maul and a demented version of the Son. (So glad Dave left ATLA) Everything is so choppy and bland. There is no color in this show. Who even trained his "cowboy Jedi" he's rude, and barbaric, and acts like a freaken bounty hunter. Did you not listen to Obi Wan's Distress call in ROTS? I got no clue how he survived Order 66 I would have shot him first. Ezra seems so obsessed with his cowboy Jedi friend too. Almost too "obsessed". When Kallus held Ezra and the stormtroopers were what? 2 feet away from Zeb. HOW THE F*CK DID THEY MISS?!?!?!? Why not kill Ezra too. Capturing a boy means nothing. And him escaping proves once again that this show get's dumber and dumber and I lose more IQ points each time. And "Jabba the Hutt" Really? It's not like he's going to use your creepy named "Ezra" for evil. The Wookies look t e r r i b l e. So they miss the cow boy Jedi in the open as well? Damn. This get's even worse. They make such a big deal about the lightsaber thing but let's be real. Who cares if they know? And they made such a big deal out of it. There are hundreds of Jedi out there! Jedi aren't some legendary figures. Vader murders one like every week. While the Inquisitor can't even kill some cowboy Jedi and some idiotic sling shot armed child. The ending was terrible. He's not intimidating and he's not scary. If it was Vader then yes more fans will like it. But no they have to have some terrible designed copy cat from TCW.
To summarize - Choppy, unoriginal, forgettable, coincidental, full of sins, and lowers your IQ points. This is a show that will rot your brains out. I rather watch Sunny Day in the Void than this crap. The Youngling Arc was more exciting than this as well. 2.5/10
I've never hated a show so much before. LOK's premiere blows this out of the water and it had more views so go Nick! This show better not last long at all. I seriously detest everything about this show but the fact that Steve Blum voices people aka Amon who was the best developed character in a Cartoon.

The only things I didn't like where the Wookiee being a bit weird looking they kinda looked like Kotor though and the fact that the empire might not win a lot but Grievous and Dooku never won in TCW either...
Though there is a lot more freedom with having made up characters and this timeline then TCW could ever have.
