What the actual sh*t is this. This makes me glad that we didn't have Disney channel in the Netherlands yet when I was younger...

That has no logic at all TCW shouldn't be the reason not to buy it. No. But if Disney thinks TCW is already too dark then how are they ever going to make some proper Star Wars content? Movies and stuff.

Unless they want their new trilogy to be about the adventures of Jar Jar Binks how do they plan to make it "less dark than TCW".

Why wouldn't they not buy Star Wars just cause a TV show didn't finish yet? They make more off of episode 7 alone than TCW ever made.

Yah, and TCW is more dark than ROTS. I disagree. Burning someone alive on screen would be too dark for TCW. That wasn't that dark. What about beheadings, mass genocides, the whole backstory of Ventress, exterminating children (Maul and Savage), the entire episode of The Wrong Jedi is mature but not necessarily dark. TCW was just mature. While the movies were not mature or dark. It was just "Fun".

The only thing I think may have crossed the line is Riff Tamsons head after he exploded but everything else wasn't bad at all.

Just watched the first episode of Star Wars: Rebels. And yes, as i expected, i thought it was great It feels truly like Star Wars all the way through with the looks, the music and the atmosphere. But overall it is just good old-fashioned fun like A New Hope, ofcourse this doesn't mean it can't be emotional or heartfelt. A good story, likeable characters and a great classic Star Wars feel to it. However if you are a hater, it might not win you over. 8.7/10

I just watched the first episodes and I have to admit they weren't as bad as I would have expected. But the animation really sucks (just look at the wookiees) and it's too childish. Also, I didn't like Obi-wan's speech. It's basically saying "The clone wars are over and now you have to watch this shit". I liked agent Kallus, but the other characters annoy me...

I think Disney released it to a restricted audience... but of course someone already uploaded it and I found it with my downloading program (after Ivar said he saw it already).

Animation is actually better than most other shows.. But I guess it's an opinion And again childish because it's for children Well anyway idk I looked for it online but didn't find it.. Might check somewhere later or if they put it on their site

It looked so great... such a shame to throw that animation style away and use this stuff.

I think one of the reasons why TCW looked so good was because George Lucas helped fund it. He didn't care if it made money or not, he just wanted to make them (which was also his stance on the movies). Rebels has the risk of not being very profitable so it has less quality animation because of that. It sucks but you just need to deal with it.
Anyone have a good link online of where to watch this?

TCW made a profit though. So Rebels could have made a profit too, probably even a greater profit since Disney advertised it a lot.
