Wait, so you're telling me that Rebels doesn't have any overlapping characters from the Clone Wars so the Clone Wars didn't need to be cancelled at all?

Wait, so you're telling me that Rebels doesn't have any overlapping characters from the Clone Wars so the Clone Wars didn't need to be cancelled at all? Well Filoni hinted that some might appear but the description doesn't sound like they will have any important role, maybe an appearance in one arc, or a cameo. But no, TCW didn't have to be cancelled for Rebels.

The ship name makes sense, it is called ghost. Like what this series will bring us too and what they will do to star wars, make it ghosts. So now I am not going to pay attention to this thread because I am not going to watch rebels so I don't want to sit here and complain about all the new news of a show I don't give a crap about.

I just thought of something that might give you all a better view of how this will turn out. Do any of you remember the trailers for TCW on Cartoon Network? They weren't too much better than this one. I remember during the Umbara arc they had this kidish commercial calling Krell a "substitute teacher"... it all just depends on the channels the show's being aired on. I'm not saying Rebels will be totally awesome because we don't know yet, but it's probably best not to judge it by the 20 second teaser that the channel the show's aired on had a large hand in making. Once we start getting trailers from the actual creators of the show we'll get a better idea of what we're in for. And that's another point, Dave Filoni is in charge of this show along with some other people returning from TCW, and that gives me hope that they know what the fans want from Rebels. They saw how popular TCW got as it took the darker tone throughout the later seasons, so I'm sure they'll try their best to work it into Rebels. I guess it really depends on how much say Disney gets. Until we get some actual content from this show I don't really know what to expect. I wouldn't be so sure about "darker tones" considering this was targeted for young boys. But like you said, we'll see.

If Dave had total free will over Rebels and it would air on ABC or something, I'd be okay with it.
Because that we'd mean we'd get all loose ends tied up as well as dark storylines. And the stories of Rex and Fives would probably be told in the series premiere.

I mean not everyone has seen TCW so if they haven't then they would be confused, and showing the clones in the premiere wouldn't really fit, they would probably do a little short prologue of the days between ROTS and When the episode starts.

Well everyone knows Order 66 and the people who hadn't seen clone wars wouldn't need to know their backstories and would just think they were random clones that the director decided to have shown during Order 66.

Rebel's villain is the Son 2.0 This video made me feel that star wars is safe again in the hands of dave. But I am concerned about the inquisitor. He seems kind of cool but I thought vader was the on hunting down all the jedi not have some servant hunting them down for him.

Rebel's villain is the Son 2.0 Hmm he does not look amazing hopefully he's voiced by Sam Witwer. Though they could have just used Maul...

I'm fine with the inquisitor, as long as villains like Maul, Vader, Palpatine, Tarkin and the bounty hunters will still have a major role.

I am surprised knowing Disney that they didn't put Vader in there to capture the fans attention. I mean, who doesn't like Vader? I feel like the inquisitor will be the "dooku" of Rebels and Vader will be like Sidious and only being in holograms...

The inquisitor could be like Grievous/Ventress and Vader like Dooku.

Well, I doubt they can ignore a like Maul for this series. And Disney would be eager to bring him back, Maul = viewers = money. Same for Vader.

It takes place 10 years later and I think his fate is kinda sealed Vader or the Emperor eventually kill him

If I heard that Maul was the main villain of Rebels I would have exploded into happiness and thank Disney for it. But I don't think Dinsey will do that because of the SW fans who don't watch the clone wars and would be confused on how he is alive. Or maybe they want to get away from the PT era as much as they can. Bringing in a PT character wouldn't help. I honestly doubt that Ventress, Maul, Ahsoka, or Rex will be in this series.

Still at this point I don't think he will be too interesting to his knowledge Kenobi is dead... Does not look like he will be hunting down the rest of the Jedi with the news we just got. Basically he will probably end up being the target to kill rather than hunting. And we know how that turns out.

He might still have power over the Shadow Collective, which could be useful for Sidious. I think Maul no longer cared about revenge on Kenobi anyway. I think he was satisfied with the death of Satine. Maybe Maul will appear in one arc... although I heard the arc thing was George Lucas's idea, so they might not even use it in Rebels...

Rebel's villain is the Son 2.0 Well it excites me more after seeing that for whatever reason. I think Dave will do a good job whether he is under Disney's control or not. To me this new villain looks like a combonation between Vindi and the Son. So I'm guessing he shall be he one to hunt down the Jedi my guess is. Who was it who originally hunted down all the jedi Starkiller or Vader?
