Well look. Both of them hurt. And both of them have people that tell you it doesn't matter. I'm not saying it doesn't matter, I'm saying you just have to move on and not automatically hate everything with a Disney label on it. TV shows get cancelled all the time. People get over it.

TCW's target audience was anyone that wasn't below 8, I'd say. Rebels' target audience is young boys. Bob Iger said so. Then Bob Iger is a dick. TCW was for fans of all ages. Why can't be that case for Rebels!?!? Because its a Disney XD show

I wonder if DF secretly hates Disney... I wouldn't be mad if does. Same with the other TCW crew.

I am reading the comments on Youtube about this show.... Many are saying it's a kids show and I am beginning to agree with them. And What Bob Iger said about their target audience pisses me off. Young Boys? Girls can like SW too. you know. And Anyone, now matter how old they are can watch it! Don't make for stupid little kids only. And don't air it on Disney XD. Little kids don't know their star wars so they don't care if a stupid announcer with a crappy voice says: "The Jedi will rise." It's all lightsabers too them. Bob Iger and Disney, before you create a SW show, know the fucking history.
I state my case.

I just thought of something that might give you all a better view of how this will turn out. Do any of you remember the trailers for TCW on Cartoon Network? They weren't too much better than this one. I remember during the Umbara arc they had this kidish commercial calling Krell a "substitute teacher"... it all just depends on the channels the show's being aired on. I'm not saying Rebels will be totally awesome because we don't know yet, but it's probably best not to judge it by the 20 second teaser that the channel the show's aired on had a large hand in making. Once we start getting trailers from the actual creators of the show we'll get a better idea of what we're in for. And that's another point, Dave Filoni is in charge of this show along with some other people returning from TCW, and that gives me hope that they know what the fans want from Rebels. They saw how popular TCW got as it took the darker tone throughout the later seasons, so I'm sure they'll try their best to work it into Rebels. I guess it really depends on how much say Disney gets. Until we get some actual content from this show I don't really know what to expect.

What I hope for is some continuation of stories, or at least aspects from TCW, but it's too early to judge it. Wait till we get an actual trailer and then we can have more concrete opinions on whether it's good or not.

An image form another fan site with NYCC 2013 Hasbro press event coverage... Looks like there will be Rebels action figures. That standee looks kind of like the old 2008 or 09 Legacy collection SW action figure packaging but with a Rebels' Stormtrooper and with more orange..

So it's going to be a boring series focused on one planet and a bunch of new villains/heroes... can't they see we want to see Star Wars series focused on the Star Wars characters we know? I want to see what Vader, Hondo, Bane (if he survives), Ventress, Ahsoka, Palpatine and even Jar Jar did during this time. I don't care about new villains and a bunch of rebels on a distant planet.

But Huskydog (who posted this video) is a reliable person on Youtube, I assume he got this information from reliable sources.

But then again, TCW always tried to grow from its past. Rebels is to entertain kids. As long as it's action-packed and fun, the planets do not matter. Sigh.

I wanted a Jar Jar Binks animated series. :'( Sounds better than what we're getting now. At least Jar Jar isn't some random new character, he's a Star Wars character we know about.

They should just call the series "Rebels" instead of "Star Wars: Rebels" since it sounds like it will have very little to do with Star Wars.

But with any show your going to get new character's and settings/places. When TCW started we were introduced to several knew character's. Such as Bane, Ahsoka and Ventress. They turned out to be great character's for the Star Wars universe. With this show you should expect new chracter's as well.

Sounds like a stupidly over-extended Onderon arc.

I can get what your saying though. Without some of the character's that brought this saga together, it just won't be Star Wars. It's from the same universe but not the same appeal to it. Do we know for sure that all character's will be new ones? Or is it all just educated guess work? They should at least bring in the classics like Leia, Han and Chewie etc. Chewy to me is like the best Trademark of Star Wars.

There may be some SW character involved, but why wold they have a main role in a story set on a distant planet? Maybe Vader and Palpatine will be involved somehow, but it specifically said: "New villains". I doubt Leia and Han will actually appear, I think they might even have confirmed they won't. Chewy is possible though. And Darth Vader, R2 and Yoda are like the Trademarks of Star Wars to me.
