It’s a cursed phrase now but it’s true that “there’s good and bad both sides” But the fact that is so taboo to say that is a perfect indicator of the problem. There are loud voices on both sides that deny that reality and are so convinced their side is virtuous and the other should be stamped out at all costs. There always will be people like that but it’s fine as long as they are small minorities that balance each other out. But now you have the majority of institutions such as Hollywood, Academia, and the Mainstream Media have all bought into that. That’s how you get a cancel culture that is actually effective at destroying people’s lives for “wrong think” Did you post in the wrong thread or are you talking about the Separatists and the Republic?

The Revenge arc is always tricky... I kind of look at it as Massacre and Bounty being their own story then Brothers and Revenge being another story. But brothers isnt very good anyways, so that likely keeps it out of S alone.

I agree with pretty much all those placements. I'd probably move Holocron to A tier and Boba Fett/Mandalore ones to B tier. Also maybe Fives/Wrong Jedi arcs as S tier, but the 4 you already have in S tier are basically the best in the show already and aren't really matched by the rest.

Other arcs you didn't include (although they're more disjointed) I'd place like this: Gunray S1 - B tier but could argue C for sake of Bombad Jedi being so bad Ziro - C tier Peace arc - D tier probably
It's a little trickier ranking the two-parters compared to 3-4 episode arcs but since you listed some... Saleucami - A tier Trandoshan - B tier Floruum S1 - B tier Disappeared - C tier reluctantly... maybe D tier but I'm not sure it's as bad as the others in there The S1 and S4 droid ones are definitely D tier, same with the S3 Mandalorian stuff

Yeah Holocron is actually really good looking back, I wasn’t overly satisfied with the conclusion though. I’d say it’s the second worst conclusion to an arc after the Deception arc. I really think the separatist leaders should have been ransomed there as they have to be sometime before ROTS.

If it had created it, probably would have been more thorough But I agree with your rankings for those arcs, Gunray might be a C though. And I think I agree with all your rankings for the two parters. Think this guy just included 3/4 part arcs really.

Found a character one for CW. Some im pretty sure are meant to be rated as a group like Bad Batch or Dsquad.... I'm not counting R2 into the rating for that though lol. Feel like Mortis group could be an A though, pretty sure I thought that was just The Father at first.

But personal enjoyment with the story and getting to see so much Bane elevates it for me. I feel like it's one of the more memorable and rewatchable arcs in the series. In hindsight this would've been the perfect opportunity for the Separatist leaders to be ransomed, but I'm guessing that was intended to happen much later on.

Wasn’t the Holocron Arc not supposed to be the premiere of season 2 at first? I think I remember seeing that but the reception to Bane and Hostage Crisis was so good that they decided to push it forward. Not sure what was supposed to be in its place though, probably just Geonosis right out of the gate. Wouldn’t be the only time they shuffled things like that, Revival in season 5 is clearly fan service for the end of season 4 as we don’t see Maul again until 12 episodes later. I’m not so sure about the leader, we know basically all of the episodes that TCW would have had at this point. I don’t think there would have been an arc where they would have been ransomed on screen. In fact after the season 7 release there’s less than 2 seasons worth of content unaccounted for actually half of that can be accounted for Utapau, Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple (which was 8 episodes).

I have good memories of the Holocron arc though, remember my mom got Dominos Pizza that night and it was a two part premiere at least in Canada. Actually I have a lot of weird premiere CW memories. Like when Hostage Crisis premiered I was killing Chaos Druids in the Edgeville dungeon on RuneScape. I remember I missed the Revival premiere due to a cruise we went on. I believe Friends and Enemies was my first Star Wars.com premiere thst I actively commented on.
Cat and Mouse might have been the best, I was in a soccer tournament 6 hours away from home and my dad and I watched it in the hotel. He didn’t watch a lot of clone wars back then but he thought it was really good. Then ROTS played right after the episode which I ended up falling asleep too.

Tbh I think the only clone wars premieres I missed was Ambush and Revival. 100% ngl… I ended up going to the movie opening week, and I knew there was gonna be a show but had no idea when the release was. But I was like 10 or 11 back then.
They used to premiere on the space channel for season 1, and they had a prime time TV slot Sunday nights on the Canadian news channel which was kinda insane. But obviously season 1 ratings weren’t good, I wonder though if it was season 4 quality would that have been the case.

Fair point about the leaders. Barring any major changes in story development, I could only see the Kashyyyk or Mon Cala arcs potentially relating to the Separatist leaders. But I'm basing that off this list, which I think still holds up as one of the most accurate records of remaining episodes. Honestly though the ransom could just be an event mentioned in the intro of an arc that shows how close the story has progressed to Ep. III

III Idk I just remember seeing that I think, but season 2 was really kind of weird looking back. Geonosis was a weird arc that does a 180 half way through when going to the zombie plot. Holocron and Mandalore were kind of the only fleshed out stories in season 2. There was a lot of standalone episodes and two parters in that season. I’m still not sure if Senate Spy is really part of the Geonosis arc either, like kinda? If so it’s almost a 5 part story although it’s very oddly connected the whole way through. Never gonna understand why George didn’t wait like two years to sell the franchise and finish TCW. It seemed like he was having fun working on it with Dave and it’s not like he would have got less money, most which he donated anyways.

I'd also put season 3 as a weird one too for how does these odd follow up/prequel episodes to previous stories. Basically made chronological viewing a very difficult endeavour for keeping track. However, I still wonder what was up with the weird choices for Geonosis. It was playing ti so straight in the first couple episodes, but then goes full 50s pulp horror on us

It’s only when we get to the Nightsisters arc that everything that’s flowing properly. Concept wise I still think the brain worm zombie thing was the worst in the show. There was obviously worse episodes then those two, I just don’t like the idea in Star Wars. Something like The Rakghoul plague is way cooler

Westerns being the big one, but you can find pretty much anything from that time period inside TCW/ Rebels/ Mando in some shape. Cad Bane is such an obvious DF character lol

They have oddly particular ideas that you can just sort of know it was them that came up with it. It's why Qui-Gon for example feels like a very George character like how Bane is for DF

I saw this theory that the Mortis arc actually didn’t physically exist and it was all a dream from the force by Anakin, Kenobi, and Ahsoka. It’s kind of intriguing to entertain I guess…
Two problems with it:
- The Murals on Lothal - The transmission the council receives
Although come to think about it… the later is never explained how The Father somehow contacts the Jedi with an old communication. That actually doesn’t seem very probable in itself or how “Word or the chosen one” would even reach him…
And I mean I guess it’s implied The Sister follows Ahsoka around in Rebels? She’s the Owl I think?

So kind of just wondering I brought up the Pod Race idea in the Bad Batch thread. But what other things would you guys have wanted to see in TCW specifically?
I liked the Pod Race on Malestare idea to kind of redeem TPM a bit. I would have liked to see the Full Battle of Coruscant in animation tbh. Also would have liked some kind of Outbound Flight type arc if anyone has read thst book. The Jedi make contact with the Chiss Ascendency in the unknown regions. It’s a pretty good EU book tbh.

Honestly I think the show finally started doing meaningful arcs that expanded on the movies right at the time it ended. Like Fives Order 66 arc and Syfo Dias arc did a good job of elaborating on some of the plot points from the prequels that had some gaps in them. Utapau arc I think would've dealt with the Death Star laser stuff (before Rogue One obviously) and Boba vs Cad Bane arc would've shown how Boba got the helmet dent and probably other stuff to set up OT Boba. Battle of Coruscant would've been great and Outbound Flight would've been very interesting. I haven't read the books but know some of what happens. Definitely would've been a good idea to incorporate some Chiss/unknown regions lore into TCW. I would've liked more stuff about the prophecy. Revisiting Dex's diner could've been nice. The Agriculture Corps which was in the Jedi Apprentice books was cool. They could've shown padawans that never made it get sent there. I think they should've also done more with those background Jedi. They all got their own episode or two in the first couple seasons but at a certain point it basically became the Ahsoka show. TCW overwrote and contradicted a lot of EU from that time period and didn't really give anything to replace it. They could've done definitive stories for some of those books or even stuff from the 2D show. I would've liked to see Muunilinst, Labyrinth of Evil arc, creation of Grievous, etc. They also could've used TCW to reconcile Thrawn Trilogy into Lucas canon. Besides C'Baoth and Outbound Flight, they could've shown the Katana fleet being Venators or Acclamators and how they got lost. The clones made in Mount Tantiss could've been retconned to be Jango clones

They never really mentioned Midichlorians in TCW either so that’s something thst should have been expanded on. They did flesh out Naboo and the Gungans a lot, actually they fleshed out most of the prequel planets which was nice. Geonosis, Kamino, Felucia, Mustafar, Utapau (planned), etc. I would have liked to see a little bit more of Ventress origins tbh, I feel like it’s weird how she just randomly shows up in the first episode. I also agree with Muunilinst although I think they were technically neutral and we did see one of their proxy planets in the Clovis arc. I would have liked Mygeeto as well and the Galactic Marine clones, I’m not sure we’ve even really seen those guys since ROTS?

I think they were gonna do a loos interpretation with the Labrynth of Evil arc though with the Coruscant underworld arc they had planned with the Sith temple. Also they had an arc planned with the Vong so that honestly would have been super cool imo.
I think I would have liked to see the Battle of Cato Nemoidia more too rather then the brief little bit we got in the Ahsoka season 5 arc. It’s weird how that battle goes on all the way to ROTS though, as that’s where Plo Koon dies.

Newan Apparently there was a book that had Anakin do another pod race between TPM and AOTC starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Jedi_Quest:_The_Dangerous_GamesI don’t remember if I read this one but I read a lot of the ones in this series. These books were really good. I think they could be enjoyed by older people too even though they were YA books. Kinda want to track some down and read them again

I read all the young Boba Fett books and I read most of the Qui-Gon/ Obi-Wan young reader books. They were honestly pretty good stories. I did kind of think there was a follow up to the pod race in some media, I just couldn’t pin it down.
