This show is kinda new ground for Disney + don’t think they ever had a series with more then 10 episodes in a season. You think there will be any breaks? Will we get a mid season finale/ trailer?

Idk I mean would just hitting your head really activate the chip? Plus even if it's activated, I think they have to hear the order to kill the Jedi. That's what people believe happened with Cut, he just didn't get the call from Palpatine. Oh and something unrelated, you guys probably caught it but project War Mantle was one of the Rogue One Scarif archive files. Imagine if they redid Kamino Uprising from OG Battlefront 2. Green Phase I jet troopers vs stormtroopers led by Boba... Lol I know it'll never happen though. At least not with Boba since he isn't old enough. Plus it wouldn't make sense to use phase I armor when they have so much Phase II

The Bad Batch portion of this episode felt a bit too much like the Mandalorian... and that is a bad thing.
The Kamino plotline was interesting, I didn't expect them to execute civilians on this show. Also I think the last Rebel that died actually appeared in the Onderon arc in TCW, she seemed familiar.

It just wouldn't be a Filoni show without some unnecessary sideplot episode... Still, I like what's going on with Kamino and the political tug of war, though I find it hilarious about Rampart bugging up what's basically going to be Stormtroopers as something "the galaxy's never seen". Oh they'll be like nothing the galaxy's ever seen alright lol

Pretty cool they used Pantora, I know we were gonna see it in the original season 7 plans with Dark Disciple. Very good universe building in this episode for sure. I have a feeling next episode will be Tatooine from the trailer.
I like how they set up the explosive early and Hunter used it at the end. Echos outfit was pretty cool and Fennec was alright but would be cooler if they used like Embo or something.

Episodes keep getting shorter... But another good one. Pantora looked awesome but had a strangely low amount of actual Pantorans lol. I liked seeing Fennec and her theme was really cool. I was hoping they would show who hired her although I guess the Kaminoans would be the obvious answer. Unless there's another party involved...
The protocol droid sounded familiar apparently Grey DeLisle voiced her whose a pretty famous VA. I hope she does more voices on the show she's cool. Also those dog things Omega was chasing are Voorpaks they appeared in Resistance...

So 1/4 of the show done and I have really no criticisms at all. I think they're doing great with this and hopefully this quality remains for the rest of the season. While overall it's pretty fun, I'd like to see more important plot details soon. It feels like a slow burn at the moment, the characters are just flying around without any real plan. There doesn't really feel like an end goal objective aside from whatever Omega's significance is. But that kinda doesn't feel like enough at least not yet.
I hope the worldbuilding picks up more too. Certain things I feel if they don't show, they won't have another chance to. Rebels already dropped the ball on a lot of stuff like Cody for example. This show should deliver on that. Early Vader, the Inquisition, Palpatine and the Senate's affairs, Empire establishing its roots with planet conquests and military projects, etc. Granted all this stuff may not necessarily be relevant to the story but if they can't find a way to make it relevant, I would personally find them to have wasted some time and opportunities.
I am starting to think this may be a limited series. So like one thing that stood out was how they didn't continue the narration after the first episode. Kinda like Siege of Mandalore which was also sort of like a limited project. But maybe it doesn't mean anything and it was just a nod to the show's predecessor. But the other thing is DBB is voicing like half the cast. I think that's kinda wild and not sure how sustainable that is... But maybe I'm wrong and it's not a big deal

I actually kinda think someone else hired Fennec... there’s definitely a general bounty out on the Bad Batch though but I think her specifically was hired through a proxy of the Kaminoans.

Pretty good episode. Wish we could've seen more with the Empire, but I get they want more installments like this to help develop the main characters. I also think that it's not as straightforward with whoever hired Fennec, but it probably ties back to the Kaminoans at some point.
On another note, I'm guessing we'll see Rex pretty soon. If they wanted to use him as a late season reveal, I don't think we would've seen him in the trailer. So a mid-season appearance makes sense, especially since I don't expect him to stick with the Bad Batch for long.

This one was fun. It was cool seeing Ord Mantell. I've been kinda curious about it since Han mentions it in ESB. I didn't realize it's already been shown in a lot of side stuff but I didn't pay much attention to that. Scrolling through its wiki page looks like they stayed pretty faithful to the legends design. I'm surprised we never saw it in TCW. But speaking of planets it's nice how many we are seeing. I guess they have mostly been urban locales but still. Rebels only had like 2-3 planets its first season I think.
Once I saw the hologram, I figured it was Bib Fortuna from the chin. And then with the rancor reveal there was no doubt this was the rancor from ROTJ. I did not expect them to do that backstory at all lol. Also I think Zyggerians are really cool I would love to see them be incorporated in more stuff. And I love that they are showing more Gonky it's very smart to cash in on the Gonk droid memes lol.
One other random thing people were wondering about was how Echo puts on his helmet because it doesn't look like it would fit. In the past episodes we never saw him put it on or he was covered by something else. Guess now we know.

Also I'm hoping Wrecker's headache is a red herring because it'd be kinda dumb for the chip to activate just from getting hit in the head a couple times... I mean how many times would soldiers in war have gotten hit on the head?
I'd like the next episode to be another Imperial perspective one but idk it might not be that. I wonder if they'll do more mercenary jobs. So far the story is exactly like Mando like this episode completely followed the Mando formula with the NPC side quest for information at the end.

Yeah, we're getting perilously close to Mando's tired formula of storytelling. Still, I appreciate the cool locales they're going to and I did not see that rancor backstory coming  With how many episodes there are though, I'm worried they're going to stretch this story out too thinly. These sort of episodes are fine in small numbers, but it'd be a shame to see most of them be these kinds of side stories. A bit odd how we haven't seen Crosshairs again at this point. I thought him and his un-merry band would be more involved by now. |

This was another really enjoyable episode. I think the Zygerrians are super interesting to explore, so I loved that we got to see them a little here. They had a quick reference to Kadavo also, which I appreciated. I feel like they could have a place in future stories for the Bad Batch, except maybe this time with the Imperial story.
Cid turned out to be a pretty cool character, and I wouldn't mind seeing her again. Omega continues to be really enjoyable also and everything she does feels very natural. Not too sure what they're hinting at with Wrecker's head, but I'm glad the episode's title wasn't in reference to his chip activating and consequently going on a "rampage". Much preferred the mini-kaiju fight we got instead as well as Wrecker going against Muchi.

Was a very fun episode, they kept Ord Mantell pretty close to legends, it’s a little more dry then it appears in say SWTOR but it’s another one of those earth like planets with lots of biomes. Think we all figured that the Batch would become free lancers at some point, I really hope we see Bane, Embo, Bossk or Boba at some point.
Honestly the world building in this show is excellent, cool seeing the Zygerians, never seen a young Rancor before. Lots of good mentions like Kadavo and this was a good way to have Jabba involved without directly seeing him.
I think the season is gonna heat up soon
