All these posts are like a journal. I was reading some of my old posts from years back and was like, huh? I don't remember half that stuff I was talking about 😄. I was definitely the most dramatic over the years. Good stuff.

I've just been enjoying my guitar playing, trading the stock market, 9-5, etc. Can't complain, not where I want to be yet though. Yeah ten years ago, crazy! Imagine what 20 will look like lol. Man I really need to get into investing. I see a bunch of people 20s-30s making millions from it. Literally traded like 2 or 3 stocks so far and took Ls on all so not very encouraging lol I should probably get back into guitar as well. I rarely play these days and I think I stopped actively learning stuff after the first year or two and just haven't been motivated now. I think it'd be nice to be able to have one thing I'm really good at and guitar would be a good one |

Had a pretty interesting week so far. I got into my first accident, a fender bender that was stressful. I had a friend also pass away. I was just riding around on a skateboard with her and we went to get smoothies with my other friend not even like 2 months ago. We had a lot of good memories together, it just feels weird. I can't even explain it's just a feeling. We were texting a lot too before this happened, and we would go into bouts of texting but I knew her for a long time. I was working and met a producer/rapper today for work he liked my music i showed him, and he was a pretty cool guy. He had a studio and all that, I just make music for fun so it was cool seeing this guy. He isn't super famous but he made the beat to a SUPER popular rock song from back in the day. He's got a music video with a mill and some type of silver looking plaque disc on his wall. It was really great to hear he enjoyed what I showed him, definitely inspiration since he's really into all that stuff.

He's going thru a lot rn. It has completely changed my perspective on things that's forsure. I was trying to sleep the other night and woke up because every time I think about it it just hard to believe, it strikes me in the chest as if a very real thing. I wake up and its been my first thought, or I get home from work and just think about it. It feels like an alternate timeline or something man. One of my closest friends was way closer with her than me though, and like I said I'm def trying to hang around and help him stay positive through all of this. I know two other people that died, both from my school. One of them I didn't really know like we followed each other on ig and he was at the big party with my homies but we didn't have classes tg. The other one I smoked with a few occasions, mostly cuz we chilled at the same spot n just saw each other. His death was pretty crazy when I heard but it didn't hit me like this. My friend who died I've seen for years since I was a teenager. |

My girlfriend broke up with me after 4 years (and living together for 1,5 year). So I have been feeling kind of shit, though it's getting better. At the same time I have to finish my studies, so that's not an ideal combination... But at least the Netherlands are not on fire, it has been rain here for weeks, which I like. We got the first 20+ celsius day yesterday, but it looks like it will be the last for a while as well... so the weather is nice at least (for me). How are you doing? |

Four years is a long time, that's super tough. Especially trying to finish out college projects with all that on your mind is annoying, just try not to stay distracted. I hope everything goes better for you. You know after breakups I tend to meet other girls I fancy more sometimes, all in all sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. Just try to stay optimistic and focus on doing things that keep your mind off the stress of it all would be my suggestion. I'm glad the weather is looking good. I would hate extreme cold, or extreme heat. I live somewhere in the middle. Either way best of luck to you Pinda, when you're ready to get back in the game I'd hit up wherever the best place is to meet people at, dating wise. Still after a long breakup I prefer to be single for a bit, even though at first I miss the routine of what was. |

Hopefully you can finish your studies with no further issues though. I’ve had a couple relationships that haven’t worked out but I’ve been with my current girlfriend for almost a year now and that’s been going well. Overall things are pretty good, my sister is coming home after studying on the other side of Canada for the past year, and I’m likely on the verge of making a big advancement in my career. The wildfires though are awful, my entire province (Alberta) is on fire all over the place. Something like 30k people are evacuated, I think last I checked there’s 110 active wildfires in my region. We have a lot of military personnel here now trying to fight it, but there’s been no rain all month and we are having 30-35 Celsius weather with winds. No significant rain in the next 2 weeks either. |

I saw a picture of the sky in NY and it looked straight out of the radiation zone from Blade Runner. Crazy.
What do you do again Mav, I think I remember you doing something in writing/journalism or am I misremembering?
Also you guys hear about the alien stuff lol. Some top level guy leaked some stuff and multiple people in Vegas saw some kind of mysterious crash. It feels so silly but man I so badly want a real life alien encounter to happen in my lifetime

Just continue the tradition of complaining about the weather every year around this time: we are in the longest heatwave ever at the moment... it has lasted about a week, but the predictions say temperatures won't drop below 28 degrees for the next 14 days... and we don't know what happens beyond that... that means this will break the previous record for 15 days.

Aww man, that's tough but you gotta find a way back to your studies. Especially because from what I have seen from you, very knowledgeable and articulate and free-thinking. Most importantly, I know you have a drive for success, because you can just tell when someone has a vision for themselves they wish to achieve, maybe I'm wrong I mean I haven't been in the forum in years. Were you struggling with any of the material? I remember not finishing my studies in college...there was a lot going on externally but a lot internally too. I hope my words are somewhat inspirational, many things in life are temporary especially the things that give us happiness. I remember after a really bad break up all I wanted to do was sleep, I started missing school too. Honestly all I could think about was my relationship at the time, the feeling inside I just wanted to escape the feeling in my chest. It also did numbers to my self confidence, sometimes our significant other boosts us, shows us our strengths where we didn't realize. It is especially hard because you know all those memories, that feeling the two of you share, it disappears. There is a lot of reminiscing, wishing for what could be different as well. I'm not trying to necessarily give advice, I'm just saying you should try to go back to your studies. Just don't forget where you started, and why you started. You know, it's your future, don't let anybody mess that up, not even yourself. If you can just phase out of yourself and try to look at the bigger picture, it may help. You know it's apart of the human experience dealing with everything it comes with, it makes more emotionally intelligent as well as gives us the drive to work through our low points in life. What I'm saying is, without the things that give us trouble where would any of us be? If I didn't have adversity in any type of way I couldn't deal with it, but with experience it gives us the power to our own drive. If it's too late to get back into your studies, I would say withdraw from your classes so you get DNF's instead of permeant low grades. I'm also not sure how that works where you are from, I believe our educational systems are completely different. If anything, just know it is normal to reach out to people, family/friends. They help a lot with these type of situations and know that we are all here for you and want you to become successful and happy in life, my friend! Tough times are temporary, but our decisions can have lifelong impacts. |
